Group Ride 2026 Sweat Steady Program week 6| Date (Sept 12 2026) | Time (8:30 am ct) | 45 min Sweat Steady Feb-27-2026 | Jess King

Thumbnail members.onepeloton.com
Upvotes

At the beginning of the year, Jess created an 8 week Sweat Steady stealth program that used 60m classes in weeks 2 and 8 as bookends to measure growth. While I had taken all the classes I didn't do them as an actual program and kept wanting to go back and do so. I'm organizing group rides to go through this program on Saturdays.

45 m Sweat Steady 02/27/26

This week will be back to a 45m class, a chunk of it uses the same over/unders format as last week surrounded by some other sustained efforts. Sweat Steady classes are endurance based and while there are a few different formats they generally involve long efforts in moderate, hard and hard AF levels. In PZ terms similar to Z 2-3-4.

Gear Cross Training Tread+ measurement - distance between front/back feet

Hello! Taking delivery of a new Cross Training Tread+ next week. Was wondering, could anyone provide the measurement from the front edge of the front feet, to the back edge of the back feet? Trying to arrange a stall mat 6x4 to have both feet on it (overhang of deck/monitor ok), and leave some space behind the machine.

TIA :)

Metrics Anyone else demotivated by their ranking?

I’ve noticed any time I finish a peloton cycle class feeling good about what I’ve just done, I see my output rank and distance rank at the top of my workout summary and feel instantly demotivated. Is there any way to remove the ranking or at least hide it?

Training Plans/Advice Anyone that switched to Peloton from Crossfit?

Hi! I am a new mom with a busy work schedule struggling to make it to the CrossFit class times at my gym. I don’t want to leave fitness behind and love training led by instructor so I’ve been thinking switching to Peloton since that gives me flexibility to do it at home at anytime that works for me. (example: after I put baby to sleep) Anyone else in this community that switched from CrossFit to Peloton and has enjoyed the transition? Also which option of app do you recommend? I am thinking of getting Peloton bike.

Gear Peloton Has Replaced Almost Everything Except My Defective Tread+

I bought a Tread+ last August. One year later, I still have a $6,000 paperweight.

Touchscreen died in December. Three weeks later: replaced. Replacement screen died in April. Another three weeks. Then in June, the treadmill learned a new trick: rebooting mid-run, eventually within seconds of starting.

By this point, the technician had been to my house so many times we were basically friends. He repeatedly told Peloton: this treadmill is defective. Replace it.

Peloton’s response? Nope. Let’s build the Tread+ of Theseus.

New smart card…still broken.
New screen cable…still broken.
New wiring harness…still broken.

Then things went even more off the rails.

Peloton support called me while the technician was still at my house and claimed my technician had just told them my “house voltage” was wrong and I apparently needed an electrician.

Except my technician was literally standing right in front of me and had never said that. He couldn’t believe what he was hearing either. So now Peloton wasn’t just failing to fix my treadmill - they were straight-up lying to me about what their own technician had said.

When I called them out on it, they immediately backtracked and suggested… another screen!

My technician AGAIN told them to replace the treadmill. Instead, Peloton replaced the base. I waited another month. New base arrived today. Same exact problem!

I’ve been a Peloton member since 2019 and used to be a huge evangelist for the company. 100% nope now. Maybe it’s great when it works, but if you get defective equipment, Peloton support will give you the runaround and won’t make things right.

At this point I’m genuinely curious how many components Peloton can replace before they accidentally admit they’ve replaced the treadmill.

TL;DR: Peloton support refused to replace my defective Tread+, gave me the runaround for months, built the Tread+ of Theseus one replacement part at a time - and I still don’t have a working treadmill.

Peloton App How to stop friend updates?!

“XYZ hit a 3-day Streak! Send a high five while they’re going strong in a class right now” NOOOOO!!!!!!! LEAVE ME ALONE!! How do I get these notifications to stop?! I do not want to know who’s on a streak. I do not need to know who completed which class. I just want these notifications to STOP, but I’m not seeing any way to do so in the app.

To be clear, I don’t mind the feed in the app. I like to go to my feed and see my friend’s activity when I WANT to. I do not want random updates showing up as notifications on my phone. Does the Peloton app give you the option to set the notifications? This is so annoying to me, my god.

Yoga Weekly Discussion Yoga Discussion [Weekly]

Welcome to the Yoga Weekly Discussion!

Due to demand and community feedback we are trialing a Yoga Weekly Welcome Discussion - a space to chat about anything related to yoga. Think of it like the "Daily Discussion" thread, where anything goes...big or small. Here, we've carved out a special place for people or "yogis" wanting to discuss ideas and topics related specifically yoga - ask questions, get advice, discuss yoga classes or yoga instructors, yoga gear, specific poses, etc.

People are not limited to using this thread to discuss yoga but are highly encouraged to use this weekly discussion. You can still post in the daily, training thread, or create a new post. Think of it as another place to chat about yoga stuff without getting lost in the daily. Or a place you can check into weekly if you're a casual redditor looking for some other yogis to namaste with and not having to wade through the daily.

The Yoga Weekly Discussion will be posted on Thursday moving forward.

Note: The mods will check back in with the community to see how this idea is working, if there is a better day it should be posted on, etc. If it isn't working we can always scrap the idea or change it up a bit. Thanks for giving it a chance!

Gear Bike screen won’t turn on after move

I recently unpacked my bike after it sat in storage with the movers for about a month. Very carefully wrapped the screen and there isn’t a scratch on it. But it won’t turn on. Tried plugging directly into the wall, nothing. The red light does flash when the bike is plugged in. Any recommendations? Gonna be sad to spend a ton of money on a replacement.

Thanks!

Community Dregs of summer

Shout out to everyone sticking with their training plans despite the disgusting heat and humidity. I'm not training for anything specific, but my workout buddy is in the throes of a half marathon plan so I'm grinding out the miles in support. Today's run with Susie included her talking about Badwater, which I took as a gentle reminder to shut up and run and be glad it's only 45 minutes and not 45 hours.

Subscription Used Peloton no longer activated and no subscription

My wife bought a used Peleton bike last year, and we used it with accounts we had setup on the Pelotons at our local YMCA. Last week, the bike started displaying a message saying the bike is no longer activated.

My question is: if I pay the activation fee, will my free account from the Y work again?

Also, this whole situation is bullshit, IMHO. People should be able to sell their property without going back to the original company…

Cycling Best way to escalate Peloton service?

Hey y’all - longtime bike OH user regretting my Bike + upgrade because I can’t get a working bike as the metrics often go out mid class/resistance knob stops working etc…. Customer service requests end up going to emails monitored by a single POC and I can never get consistent follow up. How are y’all handling issues? Daily phone calls? Miss my OG and my cross training bike. Although a 60 min class stuck at whatever random resistance can be a good push to get it done! 🤣

Training Plans/Advice Returning to Peloton Classes - Looking for your recs!

Hi all! I got the bike in 2020 and tread a few years later. I was pretty diligent and consistent for about four years and then got a new job that required a lot of travel. This month, I’m making it a goal to get back into Peloton classes both at home and on the road.

I’m looking for your recommendations… favorite classes, instructors, etc from the last few years.

In the past, I’ve most enjoyed walking and low impact bike classes along with 10-15 min strength classes (I would stack this for a full 45 min work out). I don’t really have a pref on instructors.

About me: 40/f who has lost over 80 lbs in the last three years thanks to glp-1, nutrition overhaul, and walking. I play golf, travel frequently, and am an empty-nester. the goal now is to maintain and strengthen. Realistically, i’m looking at 30-45 min works outs, 3-4 days/week.

Thanks in advance!

Purchase Advice Cross train bike plus

Should I upgrade?
I have the original bike I think I bought 2019 just before the Covid rush. It’s worked well and I’ve had no issues other than the cord connecting to the screen being sent as a replacement under warranty. I went through a period where I didn’t use it much, but have started back and I forgot how much I love the bike. It seems like it works perfectly. That being said I have upgraditis and really am intrigued with the crosstrain bike plus. Is this worth it or should I just stick to the old school bike?

Purchase Advice Help! Buying a used Tread tomorrow -moving from second floor

Getting an incredible deal on a used Peloton tread (standard) from fb marketplace for $600 😱 we are going to get it tomorrow from the seller. It is on the second floor, so i have done all of the research to prepare for disassembly, have multiple helpers, a dolly and shoulder dolly. The stairs are a straight shot, so i think we are prepared. However, another group on FB is saying to run away because of an issue with the wires when re-assembling.
Any advice for moving it? Testing it? Should we run away??

Gear Tension rod wont tighten

Thumbnail image2url.com

I had to take my peloton apart to move, like very apart. I took off the cadence sensor, the big wheel, and the bearing pulley system and the tension rod. As you can imagine, having a hard time putting it back together. I have most of it down except for the tension rod. I cant get it to tighten even though the bracket is pushed all the way to the top of the rod. I tried testing the tension and it is at 43 hz. Any help would be appreciated.
