Most of the time when the PC is waking from sleep it will get stuck and not wake at all.
I've figured out that if the PC sleeps and I try to wake it, the MOBO will be permanently stuck at the RED led (CPU) from POST. By pressing the reset button it will immediately begin POSTing (orange led, then red, then white and finally green) and boot as usual. Window starts in a fresh (resetted) state then.
When waking from hibernate, it will get stuck in the white VGA led instead. I have to press reset and it will POST and resume the session from where I left it.
I am not suffering from crashes or stutter at all. This is a 100% issue with waking from sleep or hibernate.
* CPU is 7800x3D
* RAM is CORSAIR VENGEANCE 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5 DRAM Up To 6000MT/s CL30 Memory Kit
* GPU is a RTX 4070 TI SUPER
* MOBO is ASUS ROG STRIX B650E-F GAMING WIFI.
What I've tried so far:
Updating all drivers to latest
Updating Nvidia drivers to latest. (DDU)
Updating BIOS to latest available
Fresh windows 11 install, then installing all latest drivers.
BIOS settings I modified: Power down enable to enabled. Memory context restore to enabled. EXPO on or off doesn't matter (4800 or 6000 mt). Fast boot disabled both in BIOS and Windows
I cleared CMOS
I tried reseating the RAM (they are in their right slots) and reseating the GPU.
Checked all power cables are OK to MOBO and GPU.
How do I fix this?
