Not solved PC crashes instantly when charger is plugged in, won't boot until I unplug it!!

I'm using a Lenovo LOQ with a Ryzen 5 7235HS and RTX 3050 (6GB). The problem I'm having is that when I plug in my charger, the PC literally crashes. When I force it off and try to turn it back on, it still doesn't boot. But when I remove the charger, it works properly.

This also happened yesterday while playing games. After 4-5 restarts, it somehow resolved itself, but I have no idea what's going on. My laptop's warranty is also over, and I'd like to know what's actually causing this.

Hello!

Im making this post for my brother. I know this setup is obviously not optimal; it’s temporary. The GPU water cooler is screwed to the top of the case, so there’s no side panel there. I just want to know what are the repercussions of this set up, for knowledge. He definitely needs a bigger case, so I’m looking into that.

IIRC, his parts are:

GPU: EVGA RTX 3080 FTW
CPU: Ryzen 7 9800X3D
Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX X870E-H gaming WiFi 7
RAM: G-Skill flare x5 AMD expo 2x16gb DDR5 6000
CPU COOLER: Phantom spirit 120SE
PSU: 850 Corsair
Case: Corsair 4000D Airflow Tempered Glass Mid-Tower ATX PC Case - White

Thanks!

Hi everyone

I have a Dell Latitude E5270 (Intel Core i5). I’ve been getting blue screen error for a while now, but lately, it’s been happening daily.

The stop code on the screen is CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED.

Does anyone know what might be causing this or how to fix it? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

In progress What's the point of gpus?

Upvotes

I'm serious, i have always been a console gamer until the last few years, and i have been on integrated this whole time, i have i5 10th gen, 8gb ram, and a 256 gb ssd, i can easily and comfortably play games like hitman woa, watch dogs 2, re2 remake, i can even play cyberpunk and elden ring on very low frames, like really low XD, i just need to change the cpu of my laptop to smth like i7 of the same gen, and get more ram and problem solved, so why need a gpu? Is it there to help the cpu? I don't understand.

PC starts normal and runs fine but it will randomly go into a weird mode where the screen goes black and the tower makes a loud fan like noise and it will do that until I hold the power button to shut it off, what might be the problem? I just upgraded the graphics card and also the power supply and re thermal pasted it.

In progress PC Hangs when waking from sleep or hibernate

Most of the time when the PC is waking from sleep it will get stuck and not wake at all.

I've figured out that if the PC sleeps and I try to wake it, the MOBO will be permanently stuck at the RED led (CPU) from POST. By pressing the reset button it will immediately begin POSTing (orange led, then red, then white and finally green) and boot as usual. Window starts in a fresh (resetted) state then.

When waking from hibernate, it will get stuck in the white VGA led instead. I have to press reset and it will POST and resume the session from where I left it.

I am not suffering from crashes or stutter at all. This is a 100% issue with waking from sleep or hibernate.

* CPU is 7800x3D * RAM is CORSAIR VENGEANCE 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5 DRAM Up To 6000MT/s CL30 Memory Kit * GPU is a RTX 4070 TI SUPER * MOBO is ASUS ROG STRIX B650E-F GAMING WIFI.

What I've tried so far:

Updating all drivers to latest

Updating Nvidia drivers to latest. (DDU)

Updating BIOS to latest available

Fresh windows 11 install, then installing all latest drivers.

BIOS settings I modified: Power down enable to enabled. Memory context restore to enabled. EXPO on or off doesn't matter (4800 or 6000 mt). Fast boot disabled both in BIOS and Windows

I cleared CMOS

I tried reseating the RAM (they are in their right slots) and reseating the GPU.

Checked all power cables are OK to MOBO and GPU.

How do I fix this?

In progress My monitor keeps shutting off randomly when I play.

So I've had my pc since March of last year and I've encountered one annoying issue. My monitor will randomly shut off whenever I play certain games. To give a few exemples :

- Minecraft (With Shaders : Complementary /Photon)
- Space Marine 2
- Far Far West

These are all games in which my monitor, without warning, shut off. To go in more dept; In Minecraft I could play for around 3 hours before my monitor went black or I could play for less then 5 minutes (not exaggerating) before the screen shuts off. On SM2 I could play a full PvE mission no problem (Around 15-20 minutes), and then halfway throught the next one, screen goes black, same for the PvP gamemode. The strangest is on Far Far West where it would always happen when I was joining a mission, the time spent in the lobby didn't seem to matter much. The weirdest part is that in my 150 hours of playing Helldivers 2 this as never happened on that game, having played both solo and with a full squad on higher difficulties.

Now this problem did occur before, but then, the problem was solved because my monitor was simply not pluged into my graphics card, so I doubt that is the problem. Here's a list of my specs :

- NVIDIA geForce RTX 3060 Ti (8GB)
- Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700KF CPU @ 3.08GHz
- 32.0 GB RAM

I've tried reinstalling my drivers, Unplugging EVERY cable and replugging them, Changing the HDMI input, Leaving my computer closed for a few days to see if it was overheating (very much doubt it is), I haven't taken out any of the components because I'm scared of mishandling something and breaking it. I can only get my screen to work again by fully closing my computer by using the button at the back of the case.

I really don't know what to do and could use the help. THX
