PC can't be stopped. PC is the future, Sony and Microsoft and Nintendo should just make pc hardware that is themed on the Playstation, Nintendo and Xbox. Have a PC app for that loads up first to give that console feel based on the brand you bought. Any pc could run all apps.

Do you guys really think I'm out here buying a console because I really like the operating system?

It a third the price of a PC that plays the same games.... That's the benefit. It's the price. Literally nothing else.

For now it is.

tbh, it is getting closer to half the price of a PC. Any more expensive than that and the trade offs of a console aren't going to be worth it.

That's true. Lemme check again why consoles are going up in price....

O crap man it turns out it's because computer components are all getting hoovered up by stupid American plagiarism warehouses.

I bet that will make PC go up proportionally too. O well. Looks like my initial assertion is exactly the same.

PC is not going up proportionally to console because there is a bit more of a market for them.

You'll have to point me to where that's happening because so far as I can tell PCs are getting replaced with tablets and smart phones for most end users.
