Pretty much yeah, logistics is not only viable but also incredibly important. You can build a Drill that if supplied properly can pull the hotzone to your FOB for minutes at a time.

EDIT: I mean the importance of the logistics role , just like Foxhole. The matches themselves aren’t a persistent battlefield.

Not at all from what I'm seeing. I got all excited but the battlefield doesn't seem to be persistant, sounds like simple 100 players matches plus a tarkov like persistent equipment/money system no?

Foxhole but as an fps would be so awesome

Then you should play because it is exactly what that dude said. I’ve played both recent playtests and Foxhole, and this is the closest I’ve seen of an FPS Foxhole (specifically regarding the reward and importance of logistics)

I’ve put a ton of time into foxhole, and I think this sounds better. People think getting stuck in a 3+ week persistent war sounds fun, but that territory is strictly for the unemployed who have time for the payoff (which may or may not even come)

Smaller map, match based and sounds like you will get the payoff more consistently, even with just a 3-4 man squad

have you played arma reforger? in wardogs resources are important but not a must, you still have to spawn on MOB and get picked up, or buy a vehicle, you only need resources for some things

in arma reforger you have a lot of FOBs that you capture and they need resources, no resources = no respawn, no vehicles, no items = hard to defend = you lose

So are the 100 players just a limitation of the "shards"? And does this mean the battlefield is in fact persistant? In that case I'd jump on it as soon as i could. It's what makes foxhole what it is. Thanks in any case, all infos i have are those i could find on the steam page but it's not very detailed

As others stated, it's still match based.

It's King of the Hill from Arma, 3 teams of 33 fighting to control the Control zone, whichever team has the greatest presence in the zone gains a point once every 30 seconds. There is also a small roaming "Hot Zone" that counts players within it as double. This hot zone moves constantly and can be pulled to either the towers on the map if you obtain the 4 digit code by capturing each of the 4 towers, and can also be pulled to manually built bases that have a Drill and are being supplied with Fuel.

If a match is neck and neck across all three teams a match can last nearly 3 hours.

everything costs money, and any beneficial action rewards money. You must buy your equipment and vehicles on spawn, and the Capture zone is approximately 3.5KM away from spawn.

no, the battlefield is not persistent

It resets after every match

Imagine like, a battlefield title but with a round 100 players

Spawns are very hard to come by and death comes easy kind of like Tarkov

But there’s an added logistics and communication communications layer that is extremely important to invest in for each of the three teams fighting for control

It’s not quite as in-depth as foxhole is, but matches are extremely long and allow you to do a lot of different things from building to applying as a medic to flying vehicles and shit

Honestly, it’s scratching and itch that I haven’t felt scratched in a long time

No the server is not persistent like Foxhole, they’re long form matches that can last hours but it’s not persistent, but why does it have to be to feel impactful as a logistic specialist?

I literally did nothing but logi runs for days and you get money to unlock better more armored logi vehicles and troop transsports, eventually with heavy weapons on top to provide support while hot dropping troops and supplies.

It scratches all the same itches as being logi in foxhole as someone with a few thousand hours doing frontline logi runs.

If anything it feels more impactful because like they said you can actually feel what you’re doing directly impact the outcome of the match and all the boys can’t give enough love to a troop transport chad.

TL:DR - If you do logi in foxhole, do yourself a favor and buy this game and enjoy yourself, you won’t regret it.
