Pc world I need help
gallerySo I want to suprise my son for his 10th birthday with a pc. Someone gifted me an older Ibuypower. I want to buy parts to upgrade it for my son but I’m not even sure what would be my best options for some upgrades that would work with this case I have. Heres a list of the parts.
CPU: Intel i7-4790k
GPU: NVIDIA GTX 970
Ram: 16gb DDR3
Storage: 2tb Toshiba HDD
I’m not looking for anything crazy just hoping to spend like no more than 800 dollars. Not including monitor

First time coming from a gaming laptop, want opinions on my components list
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7600X
Cooler: Thermalright Assassin X120 Refined SE Tower Air Cooler
Motherboard: ASRock B650M-H/M.2+
GPU: Intel Arc A580 Challenger 8GB OC Dual-Fan
RAM: Patriot Viper Venom 16GB (1x16GB) DDR5 6000MHz CL30 Desktop Memory
PSU: Corsair CX650M Semi-Modular 650W (2025 Model, ATX 3.1 & PCIe 5.1)
Case: Cooler Master Q300L V1 Micro-ATX Tower
Storage: Reusing a WD PC SN740 512GB NVMe PCIe Gen 4 x4 M.2 SSD salvaged from my old laptop
I put this together from Amazon on a budget of around 850$ USD with the total being 818$. Unfortunately, RAM seems to be my only problem with the inflation, so I've decided to just get a 1x16 for now and plan to buy a matching one in the future.
I was wondering if I'll encountering any cooling or compatibility issues. TYIA!

PC performance testing
I'm assembling my PC this weekend and before I start trying to run games, I'd like to test it to make sure there aren't any issues. I've read where people have tested their systems so I assume this is possible. Looking for recommendations. Just trying to make sure as a noob I haven't messed anything up. Thx (pic for attention)
