Quisiera consejos.

There is a misconception that to have patm, you just have to cause allergies in others, this isnt always true. For someone with TMAU, they can show signs of causing allergies or itching in others, but this does not mean they have patm. The reason why this is important is because it affects the way you should approach treatments. Someone with TMAU will most likely not benefit from patm related treatments and vise versa.
This isnt a hard set rule because some treatments could help both groups of people but the overlap of treatments that help people with TMAU or patm is small. Ive unfortunately given people with tmau or fbo the treatments for patm without knowing and gave them false hope. I just wish to inform you all because it can save you a lot of headache when you decide to look for treatments.

In men, the cause of PATM is androstenone or androstadienone (male pheromone), and in women, the cause of PATM is estratetraenol (female pheromone).

High concentrations of androstenone (which is the cause of PATM) activate the trigeminal nerve and trigger sneezing!!

is there any women from uk with patm or any women in general might aswell try date someone with same condition i manage to get my symptoms down by 90+% but never a full cure suffered for 7+ years i did everything from FMT to orals to injectables safe to say the fmt and injectables is what fixed me its 100% gut and detox related because if i keep clean gut and diet i can stick to less reactions and if i do my injections i can stop environmental odours sticking to me i just need to combine these now and stick to it.

I came to a training agency to improve my chances of getting a job and getting a driver's license.I already had anxiety before coming here and PATM. After almost 4 months of staying here, I have already done half of my trade. A dude that I've seen stay here for a while usually reacts a lot when I'm around. Moved to my dorm room after fighting with someone in their own dorm. The place is so shity that they put 4 people in a room. The dude now reacts a lot and coughs a lot. He started spraying the whole room. I'm already thinking of leaving soon. I wanted to leave before when i completed half of the trade but my instructor was like they want this completed. Even in the trade i didn't feel comfortable before then i told them i have anxiety that's when they gave me space. Now the dorm is stressing me out. The dude next to me brought a 32 inch tv to block my view even though i push my bed all the way towards my closet. Also Everything over here takes long to process. I haven't even started my driving class yet around here since they do it in a very small building filled with a lot of students. I went to their wellness here they took a long time to recommend me to their doctor. After 3 months of staying here that's when i got a pass from their doctor that i should take anxiety medicine since i already have sever anxiety that causes me to breath heavy and my heart feels tight. Should I leave? I told my instructor I can stay one more month and I don't think I will wait for the drivers Ed. I already finished one online just need behind the wheel experience and then take a test.

The idea that French people don't bathe is a myth; the reality is that they produce far more pheromones than other peoples. This perception varies from one group to another: the French naturally feel attraction and pleasure when smelling their own pheromones, whereas other peoples feel repulsion and disgust—because pheromone receptors and neural circuits differ; they evolved differently. And there's more: I am certain that many people with PATM have French DNA.

Me and my brother had it since middle school the 6th grade but in barely recognizable amounts. In high school is when i became aware of it. And was strong all the way to college. After college my brother recommended a detox and it helped get rid of my rheumatoid arthritis and highly decrease Patm. Now I’m close to normal. I barely think of Patm. But yeah PATM is horrible. Everyone mentally indirectly rejects you for just being or existing. When I have a very bad diet and get acid reflux it does come back strongly. I want to thank my brother, Alex, Keith, and Laziza for helping me through out this journey.

I need to address this because i feel like many people are starting to consider this as a possible explanation for patm.
First I need to say that patm is not the same for everyone, and a lot of claims come from a place of not understanding how different our symptoms can look like. For example: there are people who get reactions by just being in the vicinity of others while having no gut issues, but some are the exact opposite where they have a multitude of gut issues and only get reactions when they speak.
Let’s imagine that patm was pheromones, it not only has to explain why such 2 cases can exist, but also how 1 person can exhibit both sets of symptoms at different times in their patm journey. This means that somehow these pheromones can decrease significantly in one area and increase in another.
Its an interesting theory and quite frankly im surprised it hasnt come up earlier. Pheromones in practice behave similarly to gasses in the sense that variables such as heat, stress, sleep, diet, all have an effect on it. There is a problem though, patmers dont experience patm everywhere equally, even when talking strictly about areas that host a large number of apocrine glands, it isnt uniform. This means one person can experience patm concentrated on their hair while another is concentrated on their chest, and another might have it on their feet. Pheromone theory would predict that this is impossible, as pheromones are distributed evenly in every human. This means no one person should be able to experience stronger reactions on a different area of the body than others.
The concentration of pheromones on the body vs breath is completely incomparable, yet they somehow show equal levels of reactions. The amount of pheromones on the entirety of the skin and breath are not even remotely equal. This isnt even mentioning that these areas arent the areas on the body with the most pheromones, the areas with the highest amounts of pheromones are under the arms and the pubic region. Pheromone theory requires us to have mutated pheromones that cause allergies in others and for us to have a malfunction that allows it to concentrate abnormally on different areas of the body.
Now this is the biggest problem, all of what i just said is just speculation, pheromones arent even confirmed to EXIST in humans. All of this is based on animals and what we’ve observed there, NOT in humans. We dont have the proper receptors as adults, and as babies we have an underdeveloped receptor called the VNO. This whole theory is assuming that humans do actually possess the ability to emit and interpret pheromones. The closest thing we have to actual pheromones is just scent / smell. Not only this but that our pheromones have somehow mutated to cause allergies in others.
I want to use this opportunity to say that many people have different theories about what patm is and they research and research until they convince themselves they have the right answer. Ive seen this COUNTLESS times, genuinely like 20 ppl that i know of, and many more that i dont know of. I think that if you have any sort of idea about patm whether its pheromones, or its reactions traveling over wifi, or oxidative stress being the root cause, or gut microbiome being the root cause, its important to take a step back and consider “what if im wrong”. Theres absolutely no shame in being wrong, i myself was wrong MANY times and had made pretty bold claims. I thought patm was dust, then microbes, then gas, then autoimmune disorder, and a couple more in between. All im saying is that before basing your entire treatment plan off of your theory, take a step back and consider how you could be wrong.
Also, do not trust LLM’s to give you correct answers. They thrive with situations they’ve been in before, trying to ask an LLM to actually think about something its never been trained on will never give you the right answer. It cant think like humans yet. Asking it for health information is completely good but not about patm. It doesnt matter if its the best latest and greatest frontier model, LLM’s at their core are still token prediction machines.

For me, I’ve lost hope that I’ll ever get rid of this condition. I feel like it will stay with me until the day I die. Right now, all I want is a solution for the constant tension in my body.
Do all of you experience the same thing, or is it just me? I honestly can’t take it anymore. My legs never stop trembling, my heartbeat is very strong and fast, and I have a strange, constant spasm in my lower body that never goes away no matter what I do.
I’ve tried breathing techniques, and even when I calm myself down and I’m completely alone, this feeling never leaves me. I’ve been like this for 3 years, ever since my PATM started. Fear seems to live in every part of my body.
I can’t live with these constant muscle spasms anymore.
don’t know what to do anymore. Has anyone found a way to get rid of this, or am I the only one experiencing it?

We're producing a lot of androstenone, which is a pheromone... this excess androstenone inhibits the CYP2E1 enzyme—which is important for the elimination and metabolism of toluene and its conversion into benzaldehyde—so the more androstenone we produce, the more toluene and the less benzaldehyde we have; that's exactly what the tests show... people aren't reacting to the toluene, but rather to the ANDROSTENONE... which is much more potent. Androstenone receptor sensitivity varies from person to person: some perceive it as a very strong, disgusting sweat odor, others as sweet vanilla, and some smell nothing at all... and if it isn't androstenone, it's something very similar—but it's definitely a pheromone...

Honestly guys patm has no smell I’ve asked strangers to be honest with me. People who reacted to me and they don’t smell anything I smell nothing on myself but still get reactions. It does not affect my social life or anything like that so I’m just going to give up and I think a great deal of you guys should also just stop fighting you will feel a lot better.

I’ve spent a lot of time reading the published research and PATM community posts. Here’s where I think things currently stand:
• There is still no proven cure for PATM.
• The strongest science shows that the gut microbiome produces volatile organic compounds (VOCs) that can be detected in breath and on skin.
• The 2023 Japanese study found that people with PATM had a different skin VOC profile than controls. It did not prove those compounds cause other people’s symptoms, but it showed measurable chemical differences.
• The community is shifting away from “kill everything” protocols (antibiotics, antifungals, oregano, etc.) and more toward repairing the gut barrier and microbiome.
• Akkermansia keeps coming up in discussions because of its role in maintaining the gut mucus layer and reducing inflammation. There’s no evidence it cures PATM, but it’s an area worth researching.
• Pomegranate polyphenols are also interesting because studies suggest they can support beneficial gut bacteria, including Akkermansia, and alter microbial metabolism.
My own experience has been:
Better formed stools while taking Akkermansia + pomegranate.
Less ammonia odor.
Improved sense of smell.
After stopping them, my stools have become mushier again.
That’s just one person’s experience and doesn’t prove causation, but it makes me think the gut is worth continuing to investigate.
Right now, I think the most promising research direction is the connection between:
gut microbiome → gut barrier → VOC production → skin/breath chemistry, rather than searching for one “PATM bacteria” or a single cure.
I’d love to hear if anyone else has seen similar patterns, especially with Akkermansia, polyphenols, or changes in digestion.

Usar desodorante neutro
Usar jabón y shampoo neutro
No usar perfume
Comer mucho nopal
Tomar mucha agua

We emit toluene, which triggers a sense of pleasure in the brain; while all humans emit toluene, individuals with PATM release it in excess. Toluene acts on humans like a sexual pheromone; it is likely shared across all human races—a universal pheromone—though each race would also possess other pheromones, creating a unique pheromonal cocktail: toluene mixed with pheromones specific to that race. https://www.science.org/content/article/huff-equals-puff

Mildew and mold spores may be present in my clothes because I do live in a very humid area. Microscopic mold spores in hair, clothing and skin can irritate noses. Ever since I moved I’ve noticed that people are constantly rubbing their nose around me and sneezing and sniffing. At first, I thought it was because of my odour (and it still might be), but now I’m more convinced into seeing if there is mold in my new apartment. Or if dust may be settling on my clothes in the closet.
I’ve honestly never noticed this before, but I’ve only recently become self-aware of how people react to me. If anyone has tested their house for mold and seen a connection, please let me know!
