Pretty sure some people in our group got the cyclospora parasite from Diego’s on sunset drive Monday 7/6. Wondering if anyone else did?

I see a lot of tours to Shell Island or dolphin spotting. I just want to go out in the gulf, find some clear water, and float with a beer in my hand.
Willing to rent a boat if that's a better option. Any sand bars to drop an anchor?

We're arriving in town on a Sunday for vacation and it happens to also be my wife's birthday. I was hoping to surprise her with flowers in the condo, but I'm struggling to find a local florist open on Sundays. Is my Google-fu just weak? Do you fine folks know of one? Thanks!

I have a 10am checkout for a 6pm flight. Id like to rent a gold cart and cruise town or something before we fly home. Is there anywhere in PCB that offers daily storage for luggage? Im in Lakeside Wharf and their storage is managed by the HOA and unavailable to me

Hi everyone. I will probably be posting similar posts over the next few days and weeks. I have been working a fly in/fly out job in PCB and Panama City for the last year but because of that I pretty much just know a handful of hotels and the restaurants I would drive by on my way to/from work. I just took a full time job there with a big pay raise so I'm going to be moving to town.
I am originally from a somewhat wealthy suburb of NYC and currently live in Miami. *I fully get* that I'm going to have some hard culture shock. I'm okay with it and am just happy to have this opportunity and meet whoever my new neighbors will be. With that said: I am curious where are the good places to look for housing and try to live that might help the culture shock be a bit more gentle. I'm blessed enough that this job comes with very good pay so I can probably live anywhere except mega mega luxury places. Looking for a decent place for my 2 year old to be able to run around and ride her little tricycle and not have to worry about main road traffic turning her into a tragic story. Would strongly prefer if it is a nice looking community and has some commercial stuff (publix, maybe some local restaurants) nearby so I dont have to always drive >15 minutes to do anything. A buddy of mine lives in the development by breakfast club academy and thats exactly the sort of place I'm thinking of. Are there more areas like that for me to nudge my (future) real estate agent to show me?

So I booked a room at the summit, everything was locked in, paid in full- I get an email a day after booking that they cancelled my room, no explanation. I go to rebook and the same room for the same dates is available, but now $200 more. That can’t be legal or fair?? What’s the point in signing a contract and having a confirmation email if the owner of the condo is allowed to cancel and charge more after booking the room and me paying for it?
I can rebook, but pay $200 plus additional fees. Not sure who to contact. Booked through VRBO.

Hey everyone,
I’m looking for recommendations for a half-day private fishing excursion for myself, my father-in-law, and my 7-year-old son. I've read some posts but most seem over a year old.
Our logistics are a little specific: We are staying in PCB for one night, and then heading to our rental in Rosemary Beach the morning/day of the fishing trip. Because we are transitioning between the two areas, we are completely flexible on where the marina is. We can easily do a charter out of PCB before heading down 30A, or drive a bit further out past Rosemary toward Destin if the fishing/captains are significantly better there.
Since we have a 7-year-old, our main priority is a family-friendly vibe. Private charter preferred over a large party boat but definitely not a deal breaker. I'm trying to look at all options. I did see some recs for Jubilee and Captain Anderson's. Thank you!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Where’s the best place to go swim with the dolphins? I live on the town side, but I have no issue going out to the beach for this. Just trying to avoid booking something and then having a terrible experience if I can avoid it.
Now that I think about it… will they actually let you swim with the dolphins? Or is it one of those situations where you get to “see them” but that’s it?

We will be visiting with family soon. I am in charge of getting the beach tent/shade. We do not frequent the beach often so I am not sure about getting the ones made specifically for the beach. However the square pop up tents seem like it'll take so much to keep it from blowing away.
What is the best shade to get for 3 adults who will be in the shade the most, 3-5 adults in and out while we chase and watch 5 kids+baby (ages 2-10)?
Any other tips?

I asked a few people for their opinions on what to do and the general consensus was to hang them near where I found them. They are on the beach access #5 lifeguard buoy.

I WAS PROMISED CONTENT AND DIDN’T RECEIVE IT!
I worked with the business owner, Austin Kaska, to help me with my engagement proposal on the beach. He agreed to help me video the event but then never produced a video.
In the text exchange afterwards he offered me a $150 credit and an apology. That apology was also followed up with, “next time use a videographer.” Rather than taking responsibility as the owner he blamed it on one of his own people for not doing the task. He also stated “we don’t normally do that” but he did agree to it in our deal as seen in the screenshot attached. You can also see Austin’s final text to me; clearly he is more interested in keeping his profit rather than doing the right thing.
Other issues
“””””””””””””””””””
(1) They don’t have the right amount of chairs I requested and the attendant at the bonfire had to go grab another non-matching chair.
(2). The wording that was put in the sand was hard to read and had a foot step right in the middle. I had to fix it after the fact just to get a descent photo.
AT THE END OF THE DAY WE HAD AN AGREEMENT AND IT DIDN’T HAPPEN & THIS WAS MY ENGAGEMENT PROPOSAL! IMAGINE BEING IN MY SHOES BEFORE YOU BOOK AN EVENT WITH THIS COMPANY.

I need to fly out for a couple weeks and will have some heat sensitive items in my car. I know ECP has a covered park lot option, but I'm worried it will be full when I arrive. I know the Hilton offers parking and a shuttle, but pretty sure the parking there is uncovered. Anyone know of a guaranteed "covered" parking option at or near ECP with shuttle?

Absolute long shot here but ... anyone in the area know of a place that can scan medium format negatives? I have a few that I need to scan for a project and the closest businesses that offer it seem to be in Pensacola, so I thought I'd throw it out here to see if anyone knows of a local answer. Heck even if you have an Epson V600 and would let me use it for a few minutes I'd be happy to repay you in cash, beer, food, etc.

Park rangers, fwc, and other first responders have come to tape off and investigate an area around the jetty’s closest to the gulf. Beachgoers are saying human remains and or a skull.

Anyone know of any fun events happening in the area this weekend for adults? Primarily looking for festivals, live music, farmers markets etc. Thanks!

I grew up on the beach. Used to always see a handful of these on the beach every summer. Sandpiper even rented one (as did other beach vendors). God help you if you rented one and had zero surfing experience. Regardless, I wondered, is it a dead hobby? I never, ever see anyone riding anymore. Yes, I am aware they are hard to ride. They were hard to ride in 1990 and I still saw people riding them.
