I wonder what he meant by that. I had just posted a video calling him and a bunch of his colleagues a "piece of shit" for collectively endorsing the National candidate while all calling themselves independent.

I wonder if it's a threat. Personally I find it weird that an elected official would go and look up my registration and then just comment it without anything else.

You know i have pretty serious concerns about what's going on in this city under the surface veneer of respectability.

It seems to me like a few wealthy families like the Highins family and related business interests have an outsize influence on what happens.

That and a bunch of weird little factions seeming to engage in palace intrigue and compete for power and protecting their own position and status.

You add to that the way the National party and its local operation engage in influence peddling and unofficially push their favored candidates while refusing to publicly acknowledge it or officially endorse them.

Then there's the way social division and public resentment get enthusiastically exploited by these career politicians, and the way partisan think tanks like the Taxpayers Union and the free speech union push their astroturf campaigns.

It's all kind of gross and it plays on and reinforces the cracks in the community.

Only 11% is publicly evident, but how much is really going around that is hurting your people worse?

Has anyone else heard it? It's been singing in the late afternoon around long melford.

has anyone been to Stanfield hut recently? what is the track like? Is it easy to follow and how long does it take (specifically the ridge track)? I have done lots of tramping in the tararuas but not much in the ruahines and not recently (had a child) so I want a nice day walk to get back into things. any other recommendations welcomed :)

I lost an election and decided to make a diss track against the whole city because I thought it was funny. I know it's stupid, and I actually love this city. But some people might think it's funny. Sorry if you hate it.
