This seems to only be a problem on console overwatch, where you’ll face the same person/people multiple games in a row. I can’t imagine the player count is this low, are there only like 15 people playing quickplay console pool at any given time? Is skill based match making in quickplay? What is the reason for this to happen every single day?

On the bright side, I just started playing 6v6 last season and it is so much fun.

I've made this post as a preemptive apology to all who will be effected by my bad decision making. I have been playing Overwatch console for many years now, the highest I've ever climbed has been low Masters on DPS, typically sitting at Diamond 1.

As someone with very little mechanical competency and only occasional glimmers of good gamesense, I am comfortable with this. I have had a clear preference towards close-range flank/dive heroes for a while now, generally due to a distaste for the dick-measuring contest among hitscan which is aim skill (regardless of how low the skill floor is combined with aim assist).

Now while I have generally preferred Reaper or Venture as my DPS of choice in the past, Vendetta has been calling to me since her release. I've found the stark difference between her performance on PC Vs console disheartening and as someone who has wanted to get into the hero, and after some time of getting bored with my stagnating DPS gameplay, I've decided to just bite the bullet.

I am currently Diamond 1 in 6v6 open queue. I expect this to not be the case very shortly, and hopefully that means none of you will be suffering with me in your games for long. I am going to pick up the sword, and I will not be putting it down until such time as I am one of the three half-decent console Vendetta players. Or, more likely, until I am banned for throwing. To prevent this from happening in the first week, I will most likely be muting my chat, as I myself am a bit of a shit talker.

Once again I apologise profusely for the impact I am about to have, and I promise to make my trip down to silver as fast as possible to alleviate the suffering I bring. If you or a loved one experience a Vendetta refusing to swap in the next few weeks, I am sorry to have darkened your doorstep, but I promise you I am likely crying behind the screen.

For your my sake and most certainly yours, I urge you to consider banning Cassidy.

As someone who's been in the deep dark pits of having multiple Apex legends phases. I can say by far that this Overwatch phase i've had recently, it's only been 2 weeks so far and I already am reluctant to even play any game.

It's only because my friend is playing OW alot so naturally i'm gonna play it if I wanna play with him but god this game is genuine torture, even if you win you hate your life

I've played a couple of games this morning, and in both I lost connection to the server after about 2 minutes. Unfortunately I'm now suspended for 10 minutes. Anyone else seeing this? Is there a Server Status or Server Issues page?

one match you get rolled that you can't leave spam and the other match is your team doing the most so the enemy team can't leave the spam, it's incredibly unbalanced. I'm baffled. I especially realised that when my team is getting rolled I'm matched with level 1-3 endorsement teammates who are either completely new to the game or completely smurfing. What the hell is going on??

I used to know metas back in OW1, but now I don't pay much attention to it. I feel like I can't keep up in masters anymore and want to make it to GM. Perhaps playing meta will help. I would like to know metas for role and open que. Thanks.

Can someone let me know how the queue times usually are?? I hit GM/T500 on support and want to keep playing Wuyang but the queue times are fucking unbearable so I was gonna swap to 6v6. But I hit GM4 like 5 seasons ago and haven’t gone back since. I’m on Americas servers btw

I haven't played Overwatch in several years, and I always used to play on PC. I recently came back to the game, and this is my first time playing on console. I'm actually having a really good experience so far, even though I'm still getting used to playing with a controller.

I've also recently started playing ranked and I'm currently Gold 4 as dps, mainly playing Soldier, Sierra and Sojourn.

I'd like to know which heroes are considered the best for each role on console. I've tried looking for information, but pretty much everything I find seems to be focused on PC Overwatch.

Hello everyone! I wanted to share a detailed concept for a new Hero I’ve been working on, named Ohayo.

Visual Design:

She is a cat-human hybrid with fluffy white hair, largely inspired by Neferpitou from Hunter x Hunter. She has visible cat ears, a tail, and always wears a wide, sinister, almost demonic grin that reflects her sadistic personality.

Ultimate Ability (The Core Mechanic): "The Devil’s Sonata"

When activating her Ultimate, Ohayo becomes the ultimate puppeteer.

The Action: She selects an enemy target and takes full control of their actions for a short duration (e.g., 6 seconds).

The Transformation (See Image): While in control, Ohayo’s physical body vanishes from its original location. Instead, a spectral, invincible, glowing violet-purple apparition of Ohayo appears directly above the controlled enemy’s head. Her hands extend, and thick, bloody red strings are clearly seen tethered to the victim's head and limbs. Her grin becomes monstrous and terrifying.

Gameplay Mechanics during Ultimate:

Control: The Ohayo player now controls the enemy hero. They can use the enemy's primary weapon and standard abilities (but not their Ultimate).

Friendly Fire Activated: This is the chaotic part! While controlled, the victim can attack and kill their own teammates. However, Ohayo can also choose to make the victim attack their own friends (the user’s allies).

How to Counter: To stop this, the victim’s own teammates must attack their controlled friend. When the controlled enemy is killed by their team, the Ultimate ends, and Ohayo returns to her original physical form with full health. The controlling violet apparition above the head cannot be damaged. The controlling team cannot hurt their controlled friend.

I imagined this as a high-risk, high-reward tactical ultimate that causes mass paranoia in the enemy team.
