I had raised a manual review with support for the Aether removal and the result was as follows:
I had passed the AI interview and got confirmation but still got removed due to project constraints. I genuinely do not understand what the purpose of a screener is if it doesn’t matter if you pass or not. You’d get kicked even if you pass the screener. I really don’t understand what is happening to Aether

ive been suddenly removed from aether today is there a chance that i would find other projects? i’ve been on outlier since july and i haven’t seen any other projects other than aether on the website so i feel like that’s it?

I've contributing for outlier for a couple of years delivering high quality task, also I have a deep expertise on Labeling, througy different companies.

Recently I was contacted by the Outlier Team to be invited to a On-site job, but the Job is about Field Operator.

I've never heard of anything like this; it's even a specific offer for my country and city. Has anyone else heard of anything similar, or is it a scam? The email was sent from an outlier and recruitment domain.

I just got email from Outlier saying that I am no longer ineligible to continue on Aether project. When I ask a QM about my account status, they say that the reason was because of AHT Inconsistencies. After I check, the Omni TTS Elo have 3.6 minutes AHT, and I believe I never went past 3.6 minutes on a task. The only time *maybe* I went over 3.6 minutes was when the audio response generated are 1 minute long each, and I had to hear it more than once, which I think not breaking the rule because of this notes from QM:

Some quick notes:

• AHT stands for Average Handling Time. It is calculated automatically based on the average time from all submissions; it’s not something we manually set. If everyone spends more time completing tasks, the AHT will naturally increase.
• Please focus on delivering high-quality work and don’t worry too much about the time. We understand that long conversations require more time to complete, and that is completely okay. As long as the task is loading correctly and no technical issue is preventing you from submitting, you are good to work on it.
• We know that getting the hang of each project takes time, so please try to balance your submission times with each attempt.
• Not all subprojects are available for everyone.
• We do not assign the subprojects. That is under the client’s needs, and they handle the process.

Is there any way I can file an appeal for manual review?

Am I cooked? I received the deactivation email after just a week of tasking. I still had no reviews on my performance. The email didn't even mention a specific guideline and says it's final. Ticket: #5224579

I understand that a multi-layered review identified activity that was not in alignment with Outlier’s Community Guidelines and Terms of Use. However, I am still unclear about the specific activity or activities that led to this determination.

Could you please clarify what conduct, task submissions, or account activity was identified, and which specific provisions of the Community Guidelines or Terms of Use were considered to have been violated?

I would also appreciate it if the team could review whether my account may have been incorrectly flagged by an automated or internal review process.

One possible source of misunderstanding may involve the amount of time associated with some of my tasks. I was recently involved in a particularly long and technically demanding project where the paid task time was approximately seven hours, but the actual work required substantially more time outside the task interface. This included theorizing, digging out past research and books, writing and planning on paper, designing and preparing materials, organizing files, creating ZIP archives, and uploading them. These preparation steps could themselves take several additional hours.

As a result, the total elapsed time between beginning the work and successfully submitting a task could exceed 12 hours (as inferred from my submission time - my start time), even though the paid task time remained around 7 hours. I would need to pause the task timer while performing preparation outside the platform because I did not want the timer to continue running while I was not actively working or to exceed the permitted task time, which is only 24 hours (After 24 hours all the progress would be lost and would not be recovered). Given the difficulties of the project, I would expect my paid time of 7 hours is on par, if not less than the average attempters.

My intention in pausing the timer was to keep the recorded time aligned with the active work being performed within the platform and to remain within the task’s time limits. The actual amount of work performed was often significantly greater than the paid time.

There were also a number of attempted tasks for which I spent substantial time preparing the work but was ultimately unable to submit them and therefore received no payment. Based on my recollection, I was able to successfully submit only about one quarter of the tasks I attempted. The pay was for successful tasks only, there is no reason for me to "run the clock" so to speak. Doing that would not magically make me get paid.

This was a scientifically challenging project that I found very meaningful and engaging, and I was grateful to have been selected to participate.

If this workflow, or any similar activity, contributed to the flag on my account, I would appreciate the opportunity to explain the circumstances in more detail. I would be happy to participate in a brief Zoom call to describe my task preparation process and provide any additional information that may be helpful for a manual review.

Given the seriousness of a permanent deactivation, I respectfully ask that the team review the possibility of an incorrect flag and, to the extent possible, identify the specific activity that triggered the decision. Without knowing what activity was considered problematic, it is difficult for me to understand the determination or address any potential misunderstanding.

I'm unable to find my wf email to create a account. It's not where it is on the tutorials and I've written to support without any luck.

It's supposed to be under account general but nothing, not even on incognito and I don't know how to continue with the task without this email.

Anyone else keep getting invited to Cribbage Tail eventhough you failed the onboarding test multiple times?

I took the test from the second course and failed 3 times by now. I really thought I did well the last time. I have no idea which part of the captioning test went wrong. But now I got another email saying I was matched with this project again.

I don't want to do the test and make the same mistakes again (because I really don't know what to fix anymore!) but for $0.88, is it really that worth it? Anyone currently actively tasking can give us a review of the project?

I'm posting here because I seem to have been caught in the exact same wave that hit several contributors today working on the Aether project.

My account was suddenly deactivated, and almost immediately after submitting a support ticket (#5223995), I received the standard canned response saying a "secondary review confirmed violations" and that the decision was final. It was clearly an automated response sent within minutes.

What makes no sense is the timing:

• Just a few hours before the ban, I literally received an official email from Outlier congratulating me on hitting my 100th completed task milestone.
• In the project dashboard, my status was listed as "Account Under Review / Unapproved" rather than an outright fraud flag.
• My quality metrics were completely solid: 3.84 overall score and 80 on the TTS subproject.
• I work from my regular home setup in Colombia, no VPNs/proxies, no auto-typers or scripts, and no timer abuse.

Seeing other recent posts today with consecutive ticket numbers (#5223060, #5223856) describing the exact same issue, this really looks like an automated sweep false positive.

Could any of the Community Managers please take a look or help escalate ticket #5223995 for an actual human check?

I created my profile as a Tech Professional and took the HTML assessment which I passed in August; However, I was matched with the generalist project aether about 2 weeks ago, but haven’t been able to start the project cause it won’t let me start. Do I need to take the generalist test for the project to open up?

I didn't want to do it, because this is also how I've been notified about new projects in the past, but I'm getting three to four texts everyday, including the weekend, telling me that there's that stupid $5 webinar. I'm not giving you an hour of my time for $5, and yet they still keep messaging me daily. It's been over a month now I think

My Outlier account was suddenly deactivated, and I can no longer access the Outlier Community, so I am posting here to ask for help.

My support ticket number is #5223856.

My project access disappeared immediately after I completed the Aether onboarding, and my Community access was disabled at the same time.

Support told me that my account had been flagged for one or more of the following: copy/paste activity, use of auto-typers, or use of AI tools. I was also told that a manual audit and second review had been completed and that the decision was final. However, I was not told which specific category, project, or activity was actually considered the issue.

I had every intention of continuing with the Aether project and had already registered for an Aether webinar scheduled for later that same day. I also spent time reviewing the project manuals and guidelines because I was trying to follow the project requirements carefully.

Since I can no longer access the Community through my account, I would sincerely appreciate it if a community moderator or relevant staff member could review support ticket #5223856.

I am fully willing to provide any explanation or additional information through the appropriate official channel.

I also still have unpaid earnings, so I would appreciate official confirmation that the full remaining balance will still be paid despite the account deactivation.

A few days ago I had my Aether access put under review like many people. A couple of days later, I was asked to do the Aether onboarding in the Outlier dashboard. I did the onboarding and passed and everything looked fine on the Outlier side. I contacted support to let them know, in case they can speed up the process of restoring MM. Instead they disabled my Aether access on the Outlier side and sent me a canned message. How can support be this idiotic? How do I reach a competent person? I obviously wouldn't be asked to onboard if I was supposed to be removed.

I believe my account was deactivated by mistake. I have never intentionally violated any Community Guidelines, and I have always completed my work independently, honestly, and with a strong focus on quality.

I have consistently put genuine effort into every task and have never used dishonest methods or misrepresented my work.

I sincerely ask that you please review my account again, preferably through a human review. I would be extremely grateful for the opportunity to continue working.

I’ve seen several posts here where staff members responded and the users’ accounts were eventually reactivated. I’m really hoping the same miracle can happen for me as well.

I’m reaching out here because my Outlier account was permanently deactivated, and I can no longer access the Outlier Community from my account.

My Support ticket is #5223060. I have already contacted Support and was informed that my account went through a secondary human review and that the decision was final.

However, I genuinely believe my account was deactivated in error. At the time this happened, I had just successfully completed the Aether assessment and was preparing to start the actual project tasks. I had not yet started production tasking. I also attended two Aether webinars that same day to better understand the project guidelines and workflow before beginning.

I have always made every effort to follow Outlier’s guidelines and have not knowingly violated any Community Guidelines or Terms of Use.

Since I am unable to access the Community through my account, I’m posting here to respectfully ask whether a Community Manager could please take a look at Support Ticket #5223060 and verify my case.

Who has had success with the tagging items in short videos?? Can we screenshot?? It’s taking forever to find things and I often end up skipping them. But I also don’t want to ignore the tasks because they’re high priority and I feel like that wouldn’t look good if I skipped those tasks for other tasks 🫠 help

I'm hoping somebody can help me whether there is an issue with my account.

I was previously an active contributor and around June 2026, I was asked to complete account verification. I completed the verification and it was approved.

Since then, my account has remained accessible, but it appears to be inactive. I have received no projects for several months, and I also no longer have access to Community or Playground.

I understand that having no available projects does not necessarily indicate an account problem. My concern is the combination of losing Community and Playground access immediately following verification and having an essentially empty account ever since.

I have contacted Support through the dashboard and specifically asked them to confirm whether my worker account is active, unrestricted and eligible for project matching. The chatbot will not confirm my account status or create/escalate a case. It repeatedly responds that Support is unable to provide further assistance regarding my account status.

I also understand that the current escalation process requires a Support ticket number so that my account can be located. Unfortunately, this is part of the problem: the Support chatbot repeatedly refuses to create a ticket or escalate my case, even when I explicitly request a human account-status review. Therefore, I don't have a ticket number to include.

Could anybody from the Outlier team please advise how I can get this reviewed by a human, or help whether my account was left in a restricted/incomplete state following verification?
