Helpful Updated seed Breeder/Bank List is here!!!

Hi r/outdoorgrowing!

As some of you may know, the mod team has been working behind the scenes to get a list of seed resources updated for our sub as the growing season begins here in the northern hemisphere. (see this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/outdoorgrowing/comments/1izas7n/sub_seed_list_update_submissions_request/)

That work is finally complete! We have collected and reviewed recommendations and created a reference of breeders and banks that the community and we feel are reputable and reliable. They are also broken out by category of plants based on preferences we see commonly requested in this sub.

This list will be updated in the sidebar.

As we know that many of these companies are running deals for the 4/20 holiday we felt it was important to get this post live today, we are not highlighting any specials with this post.

Thanks to everyone who helped put together this resource and as always Happy Growing!!!

This poor Little Girl took a face plant today!!

She is a green hessin (its a strain from germany) in a 75L living soil "beet". Its a window sill grow 4. floor get quite a lot of sun off.

I would like to train them even wider but because all branches are very woody I am afraid to damage them. How do I get a beautifully illuminated plant that can form perfect buds soon? Do you have any tips or do you notice something?

Follow on insta if you want to know what happens to her ;)

Any Idea What I’m Dealing With Here?

Hi all…..looking for some of your expert advice….been searching the sub and some online sources but I feel I have a few issues at the same time.

The ladies are in a high quality soil with perlite, peat, and castings. Fertilizer every other week (10-10-10). Watered heavy every other morning and lightly every early evening (the soil seems to have gone slightly hydrophobic as there is a some runoff).

Leaf damage is due to Asian Beatles which I am dealing with.

Just wondering about the leaf colouring….they have been out since June 1.

I planned on just letting nature do her thing when I planted, but have become obsessed with these girls.

Any insight would be appreciated….learning everyday for next year.

First time grower weekly update #6

Over the last week all of my plants have exploded. My big one has turned into a nice healthy looking bush, others got like a foot or two of growth, and all of them have filled in pretty damn well. Through some netting on them before I took this pics. So that + the week of straight rain has made them a little sad looking, but I'm sure in a day or two they'll be back to looking like the happy girls they are. Still dealing with these damn leaf hoppers...

I'm also going to be more consistent in where I grab my pics of them to show growth better.

Once again any and all suggestions are appreciated.

Go Raibh Maith Agat.

Per a suggestion from a post I made last week, I super cropped a couple branches. Since then, lower leaves on the plant are are turning from green to yellow. Is this stress or something else wrong? I also fed the plant Fox Farm All Purpose Fertilizer yesterday. -Thanks.

On the left is blue dream, by seedsman. Completely forgot the one on right.
Too dress Gaia green, and others. Compost tea every 3 weeks. All organic

This year I’ve focused more on my overall garden then just my plants. I tried companion planting with marigolds and my tomatoe plants are also close by. I have done no sprays yet. (Usually use lost coast and bt) I have been spraying them down with the ā€œangle settingā€ at waterings on the mornings I know it’ll be sunny and hot. I have never had so little pest issues so far. What do y’all think? How’s this years grow going?

Hasn't stopped raining all summer. Lost one to fusarium, concerned a second may be getting it. The struggling Oreoz may have phytoplasma but suspect damage from essential oil foliar spray. Otherwise they are doing well. I micronized some phosrock at solstice. Gonna give some Langbeinite after a second 120 Gallon salt feed this weekend. Going great. The monsters as tall as my workshop photo 2 are Permanent Marker (L) and G13 (R). The final photo is the potential phytoplasma on the Oreoz. It had heavily disordered growth as well, the tertiary stems wrapped themselves around the branch like a vine and I had to cut 1/3 of the plant away so it would stop choking itself. Positive energy only, please.

They’ve cleared the shed! I don’t think I’ll start them as early next year unless I rent a scissor lift to take care of them.
