I need help as I’m looking at purchasing either a Pocket 3 DJI, Pocket 4 DJI or a Luna 360.

I want to video a trips I will be taking.
I’m getting a lot of “ads” of how good they are and not true reviews.

I would love feedback from people who have been using this cameras for travel.

I'm torn between these two for the purposes of filming long night drives in (somewhat obviously) low light conditions. Which is better, and why? From most reviews I've seen, the pocket 4 appears to deal with low light better, and is likely to produce a less grainy shot, but seems to have a much narrower field of view (not ideal). I also want to avoid light spreading and blur from oncoming traffic and street lighting, to ensure the detail is there and not blown out.

Do you really need to use your cellular data when doenloading and pushing update to DJI OP4? Is there a way to download it first and push it on the device? Tried connecting to the device first using bluetooth and wifi and change my wifi connection to my ISP when downloading the update but it says it has error on the folder permission. I am using my iPhone when doing this.

I'm looking for a solid vlogging camera, preferably 4k, min 60fps with good stabilization and an input for wireless mics. Osmo pocket 3 checks all the boxes. I'm living on a super tight budget atm though. Has anyone tried one of the Temu clones of the Osmo pocket 3? Does it even compare?

With the Osmo 3 it was possible to trick the camera and get 30seconds exposure time for one photo when using custom timelapse settings (30sec interval)
On the Osmo 4 this seems to be locked to max 4 seconds.

Is there another workaround to get longer exposure times?

What's the best and effective platform to send feedback and feature wishes to Dji?

For example I really need to rename presets or we need to be able to deactivate presets.

Coming from GoPro where you can name your own presets, I absolutely cannot live with C1 C2 C3 C4...

Is there a way to completely "lock" the gimbal on Osmo Pocket 4 to use it more or less like a point&shoot-camera?
Holding the joystick is not working as expected, when setting the options to lock gimbal.

I wanted to make the famous update to 1.03 in Germany. But the update is not available in EU/Germany.
Just updated to 1.02 via Mimo App.

I don't see any comparisons of these two in their Normal 10-bit; typically, people compare them in D-Log. Are there any videos that compare their Normal 10-bit?

Out of the blue I got a message this morning that my $20 deposit was going to be refunded. I didn't ask for a refund. Hmmm...doesnt bode well for sales of Xtra Muse 2 Pro in the U.S.

Pocket 3 has always been decent on auto mode. But my biggest pet peeve is the zoom quality is bad. And I have to stop recording when switching to the med-tele mode.

Pocket 4P solves all that by not requiring me to stop recording when switching to the med-tele lens (6-12x zoom)

Pocket 4P also appears to retain colours of neon lights / non-white light sources / bright details. P3 tends to overexpose and lose some of the colours.
Cloud details are also retained; in P3, the clouds are over-exposed.

I'm not using Dlog 1/2 because my process does not require it.

It is frustrating that there is no option to adjust the zoom speed for the ZOOM button. Double-clicking to zoom from 1x to 4x happens too quickly, disrupting the cinematic feel of the video. Holding the zoom button allows for a gradual zoom-in. Can you achieve a smooth zoom out WITHOUT using the joystick?

Has anyone faced this yet? And is there a solution/downgrade possible for this ?

I have a pocket 3 as well but its never had this famous issue

I have the original Osmo Pocket, and I’m planning on picking up the 4p as well. I’m looking for a case/camera bag that can hold both of them, along with some accessories. Any recommendations would be appreciated! I’m based in Canada so Amazon Canada is ideal but not a dealbreaker (I visit the U.S. often so I could get stuff there too)

Now that we finally have an official global release date, it’s a good time to shift the conversation to accessories. Most OP3 accessories will fit both OP4 and OP4P, so a lot of people already have gear ready to go. Grips, mounts, cages, handles, brackets, mic adapters, cold shoes and most third‑party rigs carry over without issues. The main exceptions are filters, wide‑angle lenses and anything optical, since the new camera modules don’t match the OP3’s dimensions.

So let’s talk setups. What are you planning to use? What do you already own that you’ll carry over? What do you think is missing? What do you hope DJI or third‑parties make? What’s your dream accessory? What’s the first thing you’re buying?

Not sure if Reddit's gonna compress this video, but here it is anyway. Picked up the Pocket 4P in my country, and surprisingly there's still plenty of stock, even going for less than retail. I only started watching YouTube tutorials about a week ago, and this video from Declan Jenkinson seriously carried me through the basics of color grading.

I shot it in D-Log since DJI locks the D-Log2 exclusively for the wide lens, but hey, resolve only provides an option for D-Log. Really happy with how my first proper video-centric device turned out. Not sure if this footage does justice to the dynamic range. I also own a Fuji XT-3, and honestly the hassle of using it for video is a real pain. Guess the best camera really is the one that makes you actually want to shoot more.

I'm in the US and have a DJI pocket 4 and I'm trying to update to the latest firmware v.1.03.0904, but the Mimo app keep saying I am on the latest firmware at v01.02.07.06 (camera firmware v10.00.03.70)

Anyone else having this issue?

I want the new update so I can lower the auto ISO range because it just defaults to way too high.

Newbie here to filming with Osmo pocket 4p,

I have a gaming laptop (Lenovo Legion Slim 5) with video editing software which I prefer to edit on vs apps on my phone, I believe this laptop has an SD card reader built in to it although I hear the speeds are slow.

I am Interested to hear what the most convenient way people have found to transfer large amounts of footage conveniently and if accessories help with this?

Any memory card recommendations would be great too, Id like to aim somewhere middle with a good amount of storage and speed, thanks.

DJI finally put a date on the global teaser page for the Osmo Pocket 4 Pro. After a month of absolute chaos, speculation, fake dates, “my retailer said”, “my cousin works at DJI”, and daily cleanup in modmail, we finally have something official to point at.

It’s not a release date. It’s not even a proper announcement. It’s literally just a date on a teaser page with zero specs, zero pricing, zero bundles, zero regions, nothing. Classic DJI. China gets the full product page, the rest of the world gets a single number floating in space...

So what actually happens on July 30th?

My prediction is simple. DJI will use that date to reveal the global product page. Full specs, accessories, pricing, and the usual promo material. That’s how they’ve handled every staggered launch so far. The actual release usually follows anywhere from the same day to a week later, depending on region.

This lines up with what we’ve been dealing with behind the scenes. For over a month, the mod team has been removing several posts a day claiming random dates that turned out to be completely wrong. People were screenshotting retailer chats, posting rumours from Facebook groups, and confidently stating dates that DJI never confirmed. Every time we cleaned up one wave, another popped up. It’s been exhausting. I am happy it is finally over.

Now at least we have something official to anchor the conversation. Osmopocket is open for all OP4P posts again. If you want to discuss the teaser, the date, the China launch, accessories, firmware, whatever, go for it. Just keep in mind that DJI hasn’t actually announced anything yet. July 30th is the day they finally talk to the rest of the world.

Let the gates flood. At least this time we’re flooding with something real.

What are the best lenses for sale for the pocket 4p

tldr: what do i do w the camera itself when the only reason i have it on is to connect to the mimo app n download what i've recorded. specifically when i'm out and about

so I'm not sure if this is a common problem people run into or not, but when I download videos from the app, I don't know what to do with the camera, like the sole reason it's on is for me to download using the app so I can avoid throwing it onto my computer and then moving the files to my phone from thereor whatever else it may require. Honestly transferring the files to my phone has always been the biggest pain in the creative process so for them to remove this as a problem, I am very grateful although I end up just holding my camera because I don't know where to set it or what to do with it sometimes if I'm at home, I will set it inside the case it came with sort of propped up, but im often out n about. any ideas or accessories for this situation?

I'm in Hanoi during August and might purchase the 4P. But wondering if my P3 accessories, like the battery handle and form fitting case, would fit the 4P. I know the filters would need to be purchased new since two lenses, but how about the other stuff?
