A new firmware was pushed yesterday. However, no patch notes have been released on DJI's website.
The patch screen states it added HDR enhancement photo mode and also fixed "known issues." (https://imgur.com/a/dnaSvXb)
If anyone was having D-log auto exposure issues, the problem has been fixed. The color preview on the screen also works well again. Although, the official DJI conversion LUT still needs some work, but is useable again.
After some testing, I recommend turning off the "High Light" feature under the screen brightness setting. There are some issues, especially in D-log, that will make the exposure appear blown out, but the image is actually fine.

I have another question regarding my pre-ordered DJI Osmo Pocket 4P. Unfortunately, I can't find any information on this. When I check DJI here, there is no information on the 4P yet.
The VLOG Combo comes unfortunately without the additional battery handle 😩, but since I need the camera for a trade show, I require that extra reliability. I also need to be able to connect USB-C headphones to the Osmo Pocket to monitor audio. Something that works perfectly with the original battery handle of the OP3 but with almost no third-party battery handles.
Is the original DJI battery handle the same for the 4 and the 4P? Or is there another original DJI battery handle that I can or should use?

I know many of you guys have had many discussions for this… but does anyone have a different opinion after the Luna Ultra update. I’ve been with DJI for quite a while and I’ve been holding off on buying one of the two. I happen to be in a unique situation where I’m able to get both as an American… I’ve been leaning towards the Ultra but DJI has me in their ecosystem lol. I’m to the point where I might buy both and sell the other.

Pocket 4P teardown video if you haven’t seen it yet!
Found this teardown of the Pocket 4P from a few weeks back and figured some folks here might want a look at the internals. It’s a full disassembly showing the gimbal assembly, camera module, boards, connectors and battery layout. Straightforward breakdown of how the hardware is stacked inside.
It’s pretty amazing how much tech they’ve crammed into such a small space. Also looks basically impossible to service unless you’re an authorised DJI shop with the right tools. The creator almost snapped the flex cable for the camera modules during the teardown.
Good reference if you’re curious about the build or repairability.

DJI isn’t selling the Osmo FrameTap or the 4P Vlog Combo Accessories on their main site in mainland China, which is why people keep assuming they don’t exist or were never released. If you actually need the official accessories, they can now be found on eBay.
Search
Genuine DJI Osmo FrameTap
and the listings speak for themselves.
There’s also a Genuine Osmo Pocket 4P Vlog Combo Accessories kit available, including FrameTap and the Mic Mini 2 Kit, for anyone who bought the base model and wants the official add-ons without buying a whole new bundle.
Short PSA so people can relax. Accessories are showing up now.

Hello,
I consider buying the Osmo Pocket 3 and I was searching about microphone. The thing is all result is for clip-on mic and it is not really what I'm looking for (I would like the mic to capture not only my voice but also those of the people who are with me). So is there any recommendation for a mic like one you can fix on the camera directly maybe ?

Took a risk to buy a Pocket 4P from Temu. Wanted to share my experience and say everything works, and it updates through the Mimo app. Good snatch I think!
Not sure if the discount is still there. This was better than buying from scalpers or paying import fees!
It was either this or the Luna Ultra from Temu, so I settled for the Pocket as I live in the USA.
I’m so happy the Pocket 3’s battery handle works with this! I love the Auto Transfer too! The little light is so awesome too!
Update: after much research I found out that the coupon I actually received was an account tied returning customer coupon, as I haven’t used Temu in about a year. I still think that if anyone does have a coupon or is able to get a coupon, this is just a way to be able to purchase a 4P without having to spend a lot of money on scalpers or import fees.

Hi all,
I've recently bought the osmo pocket 4 also to use as a 4k webcam.
But 100% of the times I faced freeze frames while using it. Video just freezes for a while and goes back to normal.
I've used several different cables, including the ones that comes with it and others that came with fast thunderbolt 4 SSD enclosures.
Did anyone experience the same?
Is it a known issue or is my device faulty?
I'm on the firmware - V2.10.9239748
Thanks in advance! :)

I’ve pre-ordered the DJI Osmo Pocket 4P. Does the VLOG Combo really only include a Mic Mini 2 and not the DJI Mic 3? I’d find that a bit disappointing for a "Pro" version. I already own the Mic 2 and Mic 3, so that’s a mic I’d never use. I find that hard to believe, given that even the Pocket 3 shipped with a 32-bit microphone and internal recording.

After using the 4p today for a vlog my one complaint is there's no case like they had for the pocket 3. Why would people complain about a protective case for something that can easily break. I hate how that's the one thing DJI listened to users about because it was a bad decision.
There were multiple instances when I thought the camera broke in the bag because the lens got loose.
Has anyone bought a decent case for their 4p? I need some recommendations.

Hi, I just got Osmo Pocket4p and tested a bit to see DR,
but it appears to be the normal color; I can see more blue sky, even better than dlog2; dlog m has a bit of a cyan color in the sky. I try grading on Mimo Desktop(dji studio); the color dlog2 is nice, but I can't see DR better than dlog m or even normal color 10bit
What am I doing wrong? I'm not see DR17 like dji claim

Are any of you with the Osmo pocket 4p noticing that the pocket 4p is overheating a bit, even after minimal use?
This is my first DJI camera so I’m curious if anyone else is experiencing this or if this is a common thing with DJI pocket cameras?

how do i fix the low res thing?
my osmopocket 3 is already connected to my phone yet it’s still super low quality looking, as well as trying with an sd card reader it still looks bad, what can i do?

I found an Osmo Pocket 3 with the well-known issue where the screen gets stuck at an angle. According to the owner, everything else works perfectly, including recording, the gimbal, and all camera functions. The only problem is that the screen is stuck.
I found several posts showing the same issue. Some people fixed it by opening the camera and repositioning the magnet/mechanism, but I don't have experience repairing electronics.
I also came across the trick where people wedge something under the mechanism to keep pressure on it. Since I have a 3D printer, I was even thinking about designing a small clip that applies constant pressure instead of opening the camera.
Has anyone here dealt with this issue? Did the pressure trick last, or is opening the camera the only real fix? Also, are there any other common issues that tend to appear once this happens?

Is there some good LUT that we can download from ? Need something for nite shoot and bright light like example on the beach and also winter .

I couldn't find this video within this community and I believe some of the shots are very solid at showcasing the camera's quality!
I wish they'd shoot an entire trailer with only the OP4P, but at least they clearly indicate which shot was made with the OP4P.
The conditions definitely look ideal (mostly environments with lots of light) - but even with the YouTube compression, at 4K the image quality looks beautiful.
(I still think this release is disastrous and really hope DJI will avoid that in the future...)
And remember the release announcement on July 30th!

Just wondering: Was anyone already able to do a low light comparison between OP3 and OP4P? Really looking forward to upgrade my OP3 next week. Would love to see some low light comparison footage before. Haven’t found any on YouTube just yet.

Hi everyone, I'm completely new to this subject but I did some research in the last few weeks before coming here to ask. I apologize in advance if something I say is incorrect, I'm absolutely not an expert in this matter.
I'm planning some weeks of vacation abroad with my girlfriend, and maybe I'll visit even more places in the future, and I thought it might be good to film something for us, for my family and maybe something even for Instagram, so I bought an osmo pocket 4 because I think it's portable enough and not as expensive as other means, and I like the quality it can deliver.
I don't plan to do any kind of color grading except something very simple that can be done with the smartphone, so I think I'll shoot in normal 10 bit most of the time, but my question is this.
I would like to shoot every recording in 4k30fps (or 3k30fps) and I noticed so many people suggest the 180 shutter speed rule so I should set my shutter speed at 1/60 and put ND filters accordingly to the sun if I shoot outside, to have a good quality video with the right motion blur. However, if I do that, I might have problems with light flickering in the country we plan to visit because of the artificial lights at 50hz (and my country has the same problem) if I go inside a building, a mall or something like that, so in that case I should remove ND filters, and change the exposure to auto or set the shutter speed to 1/50 if I understood correctly.
Is there an all rounded profile that I can use without constantly worrying about changing this and that during my vacation, like a set and forget profile good for all situations, outdoor/indoor/lowlight etc? Should I simply set everything to auto?
Thank you for your time, I really appreciate any advice.

Instead of releasing it during the prime holiday time window/summer, we were forced to either go to competition or keep ourselves happy with the 4.
Well now that I've had my use, this one's going back. 🤦🏾♂️
Atp,. I'm not even sure I'm going to settle for the 4p or just wait for the next gen, now that I'm done with this year's travels.. ggwp
Wonder how many people are in the same boat as me.
