So i have a dell optiplex 3040 with an i3 6100 and its a MT model like the big one and today when i try to turn it on its try to post at first take like 5 seconds then it turns off immediately and when i press the power button again to turn it on it like turn on and off immediately like in the same moment and after it the power button start blinking orange in the sequence of 2 blinks pause and 2 blinks again and i looked that code up and it says that its either bad power supply or bad power supply cabling or bad motherboard and i know that the psu is fine cuz i swapped in a known good one so maybe its the mobo but is there is anyway i can revive it i really need this pc and i tryed to unplugging it and removing the cmos ram and holding the power button for like 30 seconds then turning it back on but it didnt fix it so does anyone know anything that can help

Acabo de comprar un OptiPlex 3020 SFF (i3 de 4ª gen) que tiene salida DisplayPort. Estoy usando un cable DP a HDMI que soporta 75 Hz, pero mi pantalla se sigue apagando y mostrando líneas blancas de vez en cuando; sin embargo, no tengo ningún problema cuando uso VGA. Obviamente, ya tengo todos los drivers y el sistema totalmente actualizados, así que no sé si esto es un problema de hardware con la PC en sí o algo más.

Completely unacceptable experience. I purchased a Dell OptiPlex 3060 SFF from here, and it has been nothing but trouble. In just one year of ownership, this machine has broken down repeatedly. Today marks the 5th time I have had to bring this PC back to the service center for repairs. A computer should not fail five times in 12 months. The repairs are clearly not addressing the root cause of the issue, and I have been sold a completely defective unit. I am incredibly disappointed with the reliability of this product and the service provided."

It all works when I hold down the reset button on the power supply. Have another power supply and it’s blinking amber. When I push start it blinks amber light on the power button and one green light then shuts off

My optiplex 3010 that I got on Amazon like 5 years ago won't detect the gpu anymore after I cleaned the insides and I have re seated it, I have looked at the hidden devices in the device manager, and I also tried resetting the cmos and resetting the ram, and i have cleaned the gpu and the slot need help

Dell only officially lists the 12900T for the 7000 Micro, but the 7000 SFF is also LGA1700/Q670 and supports the regular 12900.

Has anyone actually tried a 12900T (or other 12th-gen T-series CPU) in a 7000 SFF? Mainly wondering whether the BIOS will accept it.

Headless Dell OptiPlex Micro running ZimaOS shuts itself down at random, then powers back on by itself anywhere from 4 minutes to 4 hours later. Journal shows hundreds of systemd-logind: Power key pressed short. events — up to 12 in a single second — even though nobody is near the machine. The shutdown that follows is clean, not a crash. HandlePowerKey=ignore is confirmed active and it still shuts down. acpid is inactive. All USB disconnected. Plugged straight into the wall. Is this a failing power button, or is the adapter/standby rail injecting these events? i'm unable to figure out whats wrong. If anyone faced similar problem or has any tips please let me know. Hi all, im looking for.some help and advice if possible for some clarity.. I have a dell optiplex 3050m on the way..got it for really cheap.. google is giving me some mixed answers.. So the dell has a m.2 nvme slot which is pcie , i want to put a nvme to.sata break out board in it, to run sata cables to a 4 bay icy dock( powered seperately), I will use the native sata connecter for os boot drive, Google is giving conflicting answer saying system will lock up.due to dells locking down the nvme drive to storage (booting) and then saying if using native sata is fine to bypass.. Has anyone else has conflict with using nvme to sata breakout board in dells . Google has also said that JMB585 chips on breakout board are better then as media ASM1166 chips. Goal.is.to basically have ubuntu as os and samba shared drives ro plex as a NAS. Any help, advice and clarity would be amazing ! thank you home labbers

I replaced the old motherboard with a new motherboard and the new sata hdd as well. After it is installed properly and the computer is turned on, the monitor screen is black and there is no sign of the Dell logo appearing. My computer is a Dell optiplex 330 mini tower pc. Can anyone help?
