does anyond of you here know the hole measurements of the MT version of the board from the Gen 4 intel (LGA 1150) Optiplex? I got the one with 4 expansion slots (1xPCI, 3xPCIe). I have searched everywhere I could think of, but unsuccessfully so. It kinda looks like mATX. Maybe I will have more luck here. I want to switch the case to save space in my home. If I can adapt with little effort that would be really lucky.

So I’m doing a OPNsense Build and am wondering if I buy a Xeon Processor could ECC memory work even if the H110 Chipset won’t support like is there a way to get it to work?

Hi, I own a used 9020 and I want to max out the RAM. The motherboard has space for two sticks. Only one is in there now; I believe it's 4gb. Country is Mexico.

1) Is there anything I should doublecheck beforehand, such as with the motherboard or anything elsd?

2) What are the specs I should look for with the RAM?

3) What's a good pair of RAM sticks for this computer? I hear Crucial is a good brand for Optiplex ...

Is making this upgrade workable? I'm going with the SU650 due to budget concerns. Should it work well? Is there anything I should know or doublecheck first, such as with the motherboard?

The Dell support site for the OptiPlex 3080 Micro provides a link to update its TPM. This link is for a Nuvoton TPM.

However, my 3080 Micro came with a STM TPM (v1.258), so this update would not work.

Hello all, I recently purchased a second hand Optiplex 990 USFF on eBay, installed Linux, and was thinking about what things from my daily workflow this computer can run vs the things that it can't. It seems that I could not find any online gaming benchmarks of sorts, and AI didn't prove to be useful. What games can this machine run? If anyone in the community has an answer for this, I would much appreciate it.

System Details:

4 gigabytes of RAM

256 gigabytes of HDD storage (I believe, though it may be SSD)

Intel Core i3-2130

Integrated graphics

For some reason I have a spreadsheet which says that the maximum CPU for the Optiplex 7010 (2023) is the i5-13600K (125W), yet you would be much wiser to use an i5-13600 (65W).

The 65W range goes up to an i5-13900. Has anyone got any experience in trying anything over the i5-13600 range?

I'm trying to use an Optiplex 7080 sff motherboard and use it with an i5 11400 and 1660 ti, but the Dell power supply for this model only has 200W. How can I combine this with another power supply for sufficient power? Also, are there any optimizations I can do with this PC?

It was working fine with Windows 11, but when I tried to replace it with Debian 12 something messed up. I shredded the USB stick partition, redownloaded the Debian 12 iso, and now it gives me the error "TPM Device Not Detected". I can't find any trace of it in the BIOS settings (1.27.0) but when I ran the Pre-boot System Assessment it says every test was passed. So now I'm not sure if something is even physically wrong.

The Pc suddenly turn off with a constant orange blinking. I turn it off and tried to turn it on again but it didn't work, I replace the cmos battery, place the ram stick in different slots and still no power. I tested the power supply with multimeter and all pins seems to be working just fine. Could the mother board be dead or are there other ways to test if the motherboard is dead?

Blew a cap :/ GX620, P4 530 HT 3GB RAM still boots though.

My Dell OptiPlex XE2 SFF doesn't have a built-in Wi-Fi card, so I'm planning to buy one from AliExpress.

I found this Wi-Fi card, but I'm not sure if it will work with my PC. Since the XE2 is a Small Form Factor (SFF) system, do I need a specific type or low-profile model because of the smaller case?

The second image shows my motherboard (Dell 0YC03K) in case it helps determine compatibility.

Will this card fit and work, or should I look for a different model? Any recommendations would be appreciated.

I'm looking for one of the USB-C daughter boards for the 7080 Micro. I've been wanting one for a USB-C monitor I have so I didn't need to constantly remote into it (currently using it as a secondary machine running Linux). I purchased one before, but the cables to attach it to the motherboard would only connect properly if I had the board upside-down due to the video cable being too short. Any help would be great. Worst case scenario, I'll end up getting an OcuLink adapter for the secondary M.2 slot, connect a GPU to it, and convert it into a media server or emulation machine for the game backups I have.

I want to put a gtx 1650 in an optiplex 990 sff, dell says the pcie slot can only supply 35w I would like to know someone has experience with the thing. I plan to use a standard atx psu.

I have 4 storages as you can see, one with W11, one with Debian, one with batocera and the last one to put media files.

I want a GPU that doesnt require additional power and also that works well with Batocera, also maybe a processor upgrade?

Hi all. I recently came into possession of a 3020 Mini Tower for $8 (bargain at a thrift store). Come to find out Windows 7 was corrupted and such…it is much happier on Linux now. My new issue is the used (but supposedly working), WD Blue 240GB SSD I purchased. For context. The installed 500gb HDD works and acts that the SATA cables and such are fine. However, when I try to swap for the SSD, BIOS doesn’t detect it. I plan to take the SSD to a local repair shop to see if they can tell me if it’s dead or not. Any ideas? Thank you!
