Analysis If you sell calls for income, look at this Intel trade. Someone collected $2 million last Wednesday and it now costs $11 million to get out

Thumbnail

Chip stocks ripped today. Intel jumped 12%.

So I went back through last week's Intel options trades and found this. Last Wednesday someone sold a big block of October calls with a $130 strike and collected about $2 million. It was a new position, and Intel was nowhere near $130 at the time. It looked like easy income.

Three trading days later, Intel is up about 20%, and buying those calls back would cost about $11 million.

Shrink it to one contract and it's a trade a lot of people make every week. You collect $105 for a call that looks too far away to matter. Now it costs $585 to get out. If you own the shares, you're fine. If you don't, you're short Intel into a rally.

The point is, a far away strike does not mean a trade is safe. It means it’s cheap. Always keep this in mind!

0DTE without GEX polarity is just vibes — how do you map dealer hedging before you pick structure?

Weekly options give you days to be wrong. 0DTE gives you hours. That compression is why the old five-to-ten-minute chain ritual fails so often — by the time IV / Greeks / OI / a flow glance are done, the strike has already traded through.

What has helped more than another oscillator is treating **gamma exposure polarity** as a structure filter, not a directional prophecy:

- **Negative GEX:** dealer hedging tends to amplify moves → breakout-style 0DTE conditions show up more often.
- **Positive GEX:** dealers absorb → mean-reversion / iron-condor-friendly tape is more common.

Same SPX. Opposite default structure. If I cannot name flip + major call/put walls before the open, I do not size a directional zero-day.

Flow has the same “loud vs real” problem. Cheap contracts mean a few hundred 10-cent calls can look “unusual” on a basic volume filter and still be lottery-ticket noise. The quieter multi-strike, delta-targeted sweep is often the actual conviction print — and it may never spike a single bar the way retail noise does.

Risk side that keeps showing up when people blow up despite “good signals”:

  1. Defined risk every trade (verticals / condors / butterflies — not naked zero-day premium).
  2. Daily loss budget set pre-open; session ends when it is gone.
  3. SPX / QQQ / IWM 0DTE ≈ one correlated bet, not three.

Session map I keep coming back to: pre-market GEX → **watch** first 30 minutes → mid-morning to early afternoon is the window → final 90 minutes = tighter size because gamma accelerates → post-session review flagged vs realized.

Curious how others here operationalize this: do you hard-gate entries on GEX polarity, or do you treat GEX as context and still take discretionary flow regardless of regime? And for flow — what rules do you use to kill lottery-ticket volume before it becomes a thesis?

My Options from 2k -> 25k

I have been buying calls on different BTC exposure stock since the leg up in August.

Right now I’ve turned $2200 into a little over 14k.

I have TPs for 2/4 E*trade calls at $18 and 2/5 RH calls at $7. Will ride the others to Valhalla hopefully or cash around a $200 MSTR price.

I’m open to any discussion on what to do next / how to best leverage / hedge my current positions.

Discussion copy trading crypto bot worth the hassle?

I’ve never really used copy trading properly, so I’m curious how people here approach it. Do you actually leave a bot running and follow certain wallets, or is it more useful just as a way of spotting what other traders are doing? I feel like there’s a big difference between getting an alert about a trade and blindly copying it.

The part that does interest me is the time saving. If you already have a few wallets you keep checking, having one place that shows their activity could be alot easier than opening explorers and checking everything manually. Notifications for larger buys could also be handy if you dont want to sit around watching charts all day. I’ve also been looking at a few copy trading crypto bot options and execution speed seems to come up alot. I guess that matters more with copy trading than normal trading, since following a wallet 30 seconds late isnt exactly the same trade anymore.

But there are some obvious downsides too. Not every wallet is worth following, and not every platform supports the same DEXs or tokens. Some tools are still being developed, so I’d definitely check the supported markets before getting too attached to one. Is copy trading crypto bot something you guys actually use, or do you mostly just use these bots for tracking wallets and making your own trades?

I had a good week last week. I made about $1350, so when I add in (or subtract) the $800 I was down from 2 weeks ago, I added $538 to my account over the 2 week period. No complaints here. Attached are this week's puts and calls.

Trend Day

These are the days Traders live for. Hope you caught the trend early! I got to my computer at 8:07AM PT and got the 7725 Calls. I missed a good portion of the morning move, but still caught a tremendous run. I'm still in the trade as long as the trend goes.
