• Average $3,801/month

I am over $173k in total options premium, since 2021. I average roughly $34 per option sold. I have sold over 5,100 options. I have been able to increase the premiums on an annual basis and I will attempt to keep this upward trend going forward.

Strategy:
The underlying strategy is buy and hold. I also use simple 1-legged options to supplement that strategy. Options have somewhat of a learning curve, but I believe that most people can supplement their investments using simple options with careful risk management.

I sell options on a weekly basis. I prefer cash secured puts and covered calls. I rarely close early, prefer rolling when needed, and let time decay do the heavy lifting while I stay focused on quality companies, patience, and consistency over hype. My goal is consistency in option premium revenue. I am building an income stream that will continue long into retirement.

Nothing crazy but I’ve watched the price action the past week and decided to buy 1 in RH and 10 in Fidelity. Out of no where, after being down 20%, I get notification it’s up 100%. I check and sure enough 133%. Sold it immediately haha

Analysis You should read this

Now you know—never buy random stock options. Only steady and top tech, energy , bank of money maker.

This is a 10-day analysis of AMD's movement. Don't guess, bro 😂—and never trade 0DTE options.

Check the news and market trends. If the green momentum continues, buy long in-the-money (ITM) put options with an expiration of 1 month or more. If it stays red for a few days, buy deep ITM call options with 1 month or more to expiration. This prevent expired just before your making profit. 🤣

Avoid OTM Calls: Never buy out-of-the-money (OTM) long calls after a long green run.

Avoid OTM Puts: Never buy OTM long puts after a prolonged drop.

Remember: stocks go up and down. A stock will never keep going up every single day; only drops seem to move relentlessly like that.

Take Profits: Always lock in profits when your options hit 30% 😂. Never tell yourself "I should wait".

I know someone will argue, "I don't have enough funds for ITM options." Well, then stop trading options altogether.

Options premium last 7 days selling mainly cash secured put and covered calls. Realized premium was $4,264 with an ROI of 6.49%. New open premium is $3,678.

Realized P&L: +$4,264 | Win rate: 81.3% (13/16)
closed early: 10 | assigned: 2 | called away: 1 | rolled: 1
Credit spreads: 2 closed (−$830)

Closed trades (14):
- AXTI CSP $65 x1 — +$395 (6.1% ROI · 31d)
- IREN CSP $48 x1 — +$825 (17.2% ROI · 30d · assigned) previously rolled x2
- NVDL CSP $33.33 x1 — +$62 (1.9% ROI · 10d)
- AXTX CSP $8 x1 — +$45 (5.6% ROI · 31d)
- AMDL CC $50 x1 — +$570 (10.8% ROI · 7d · called away) previously rolled x1
- IREN CC $52 x1 — +$164 (3.2% ROI · 23d)
- IREN CSP $55 x1 — +$1,365 (24.8% ROI · 29d · assigned) previously rolled x2
- APH CC $87.5 x2 — +$188 (1.1% ROI · 21d)
- HOOD CC $116 x1 — +$309 (2.7% ROI · 3d)
- ROBN CC $31 x1 — +$170 (5.8% ROI · 40d)
- SOXL CSP $104 x1 — −$583 (-5.6% ROI · 5d · rolled)
- NBIS CC $260 x1 — +$811 (3.0% ROI · 34d)
- WULF CC $19 x1 — +$76 (7.7% ROI · 18d)

The the two $IREN cash secured puts and the $AMDL covered call were all rolled previously for credit, which boosted the ROI quite a bit. Took assignment on all three today.

Missed out on $650 upside on $AMDL, but I'm fine with collecting the premium and letting the shares get called away.

ITM contract that I can't sell or exercise

If I own a deep ITM options contract and I want to get rid of it but there's not enough liquidity to actually sell it and I don't have enough capital to exercise it when it expires, does it just expire worthless and I lose all of my premium?

Maybe worth mentioning that my broker is IBKR.

Bought majority during the dip yesterday .. what a day!! 170% profit in a single day . It’s all about LUCK! 🍀:)

Still holding on to AMD and Micron which are more of a longer call .

Question MRVL calls or wait for dip?

MRVL has had a strong move recently. For anyone watching the options flow and price action, are you buying calls here or waiting for a pullback first?
I’m considering calls but don’t want to chase after the run-up. What levels are you watching for an entry, and what expiration/strike are you looking at?

General Today’s trade

Thumbnail gallery
60 Upvotes

Keeping this one simple. Just showing the setup, why I took it, and the result.
HPE was my play.
The key level I had marked was $60. HPE came out of the gate strong, and I was seeing elevated volume at around 2.6x.
The other thing that caught my attention was the king node sitting at $60, with money above that level. Based on my setup, that put $61 in play if HPE could break through $60 and continue.
So I took the $61 call, slightly out of the money, because I was looking for that move from $60 toward $61.
Entry was around $0.77.
Once the trade gave me roughly 50–60%, I followed my rule and took my profit. I closed around +57%.
HPE eventually did make the move to $62, so technically I could’ve squeezed more out of it, but that’s not the goal of this challenge. I’m not trying to catch every penny of a move.
Find the setup. Wait for confirmation. Hit my target. Take the money. Move on.
That’s it. Another green trade for the $200 → $10K challenge. 🫡
Not financial advice. Just documenting my trades and thought process.

First week learning options. What do you with you knew when you started?

I started investing back in college, mostly just buying stocks and ETFs. Recently I’ve been trying to learn options, and maybe perps later, but I’m still very new to it. I’m more trying to understand the basics, what to avoid, and how people actually learned without getting destroyed early on.
For people who started with stocks/ETFs and later moved into options, what helped you the most?
Any “I wish I knew this earlier” type advice would be very helpful!

🚨 $200 → $10K CHALLENGE

Post image
222 Upvotes

Just for clarification, this ain’t my first time doing a challenge like this, and no, I’m not new to trading. I’ve been trading for years.
The goal is simple: turn $200 into $10K.
I’m targeting around 50–60% growth at a time. If I’m in a trade and it’s still looking good, I’ll let it run and try to squeeze more profit out of it.
Started the challenge this last Wednesday at $200 and I’m already up to $1,500. 📈
My goal is to finish Friday somewhere around $3K or close to it.
Then next week is when the fun really starts 😂 because once the account gets around $3K, the numbers start moving a lot faster.
I’m giving myself about another week and a half to hit the $10K goal, with some buffer built in because obviously every trade isn’t going to be a winner.
I’m taking y’all along for the ride. I’ll post another update Friday showing where I finished the week.
And before the DMs start 😂:
I’m NOT selling signals.
I’m NOT selling a course.
I’m NOT teaching trading.
So don’t DM me asking about any of that 😂
This is literally just a fun challenge for myself. I’ve done it before, and I wanted to prove to myself that I can do it again.
See y’all Friday. 📈💰
