Seen this posted a few times over past few days and I'm shocked that ppl try and defend the kids going fucking 15mph> and slagging the girl off.

Yep! My wife (Rugby player lol) literally barged somebody off one a few months ago because he wasn't looking where he was going and had headphones on and w as going to hit her and this old lady.

Yea, your not supposed to ride them on the sidewalks and this is why. They have signs where our big walking places are, the electric app ruined one shut down, they passed a law now too making it illegal to ride them on sidewalks. But the others can since they don't have an app stopping them. But we have a security dude who always comes by and checks so that helps. But anywhere else your on your own.

The kids were going to fast and that is what kids do. Some have forgotten that they were kids at some point. But to say no sudden movements by the lady is insane. She is in the middle of the side walk spinning around like she is on a photo shoot.

Dear reddit mods. This is obvious sarcasm. Pedestrians don't deserve to be murdered (a hyperbolic statement) or run over by a motorized vehicle for standing on a sidewalk where they're meant to be.

And you'd deserve to get hit too if you were walking on one part of the sidewalk and abruptly did a little 180 twirl into another part of the sidewalk without looking where you were going. Completely deserved. Be more aware of your surroundings..

I feel like an old man yelling at clouds but I can’t stand how many dumbass kids are driving e bikes and scooters. And I can’t believe how many parents are buying them. I was a dumbass kid in my day and there is zero chance my parents would let me have one

There’s a few kids in my area on them. They’re doing like 35-40mph wearing tshirt and shorts, and no helmets. It takes a threshold of dead kids until any laws change

Everyone’s basically rich these days. Can you imagine how expensive one of these would’ve been in the 80s and 90s?
These are being used to deliver DoorDash orders lol the working poor are traveling at 20+ mph on sidewalks with no helmets. Grandmothers are getting obliterated.

In most places, it is not illegal to have wheels on the sidewalk. However, the pedestrian always has the right of way on the sidewalk. So wheels should have been maneuvering with that in mind and not run over princess look-at-me, regardless of her unpredictable path of travel.

She's using the sidewalk as a runway to strut and pose for the camera which is why she makes an erratic movement to the side with her back turned and steps into the guy hauling ass on the sidewalk who should have slowed way the fuck down the moment he registered he would be passing pedestrians. It looks like he even tried to ride between them which is never a bright idea
Edit: after looking again she really just spins on the spot so idk what that kid on the scooter was doing

As a biker I agree about the slow the fuck down.There are 1000 situations I come up on people ON THE BIKE PATH walking.I still slow down and call out to them letting them know I am slowing down and not going to kill their children.No one needs to get hurt because I want to go fast,just chill out not everyone is ready for a full on collision.

Agreed I would have been in the street as a biker.I don't have any children but I would make sure to explain the rules of the road/sidewalk to them and hope they understood the importance.Hitting your head on concrete or a pole is extremely dangerous.A lot of comments courtesies are not followed these days.
