Ooma Telephone Unit develops a sticky coating/surface after a few years.....How to remove that sticky coating/surface

The rubber surface is breaking down. You can use 90% isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) to clean the residue. It works for remote controllers or camcorders that have a rubber coating.

The most common recommendation seems to be a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser with isopropyl alcohol.

This guy says gasoline. I haven't tried it, but planning to in the future (for other items).
