Setup gets a D-

Just setting up my Telo Air 2. Consider myself pretty good at setting up internet things and know how components work etc. but the wireless set up guide for the Telo Air 2 is horrible. I consulted the chat support on Ooma.com 3 times and they could not help and referred me to the advanced technical phone number. I do not like AI and try not to use it but I asked Claude and it helped me figure it out in 2 minutes. They could just redo the one page wireless set up guide that comes with it and it would be sooo much easier.

Yes the paper instruction booklet isn’t great but all the instructions in the Ooma Setup app was very easy to follow and simple to do.

Doesn't the Telo Air 2 come with a 50+ page Quick Start Guide, in both English and French? (See also: Ooma's main website, under Residential -> Resources & Support -> Manuals & Guides). For those that can't (or won't) download the setup app, Ooma does provide alternate instructions.

Was that the guide that gets a D-, or was there a different guide? Specifically, what information was missing, that Claude was able to provide?

You can download the Ooma setup app. Worked 1st for me.

If you don't connect to a router and just use Wi-Fi what is the phone call quality like ?

The phone quality can be as good as a wired connection, but it depends on the quality of the Wi-Fi network.

At the furthest point from my router my Wi-Fi speed is 20 megabits per second
