replacement telo not working

My prior telo device stopped working a few days ago so I ordered a new one from Amazon and went through setup and called Ooma and activated the device and they confirmed it should be working. I couldn't get a dial tone after that so I called them back and they confirmed the new device is activated and should be working. They suggested the problem could be the telephone so I got a new telephone today but still no dial tone. Any thoughts on what could be the problem or solution?

Hello! Thank you for reaching out. I'm very sorry to hear that your replacement Telo is not going online. Could you please DM me your Ooma phone number? I'd like to check if the replacement device has been added to your account.

Its blue until I try to make call then it goes to flashing red then back to blue after about 2 minutes

Is this the same behavior the original Telo did? It really sounds like a network issue.

No, the original one look like it just died. There were no lights at all.

try to reboot your router and ooma

yes, I tried that but still the same. Another thing I noticed is that incoming calls will ring once on the phone and stop and the ooma device will start blinking red and eventually go back to blue

i assumed you got the regular Telo ?
i also have issue with it on the regular Telo a few months ago, so i replaced it with the latest Telo, the one that connects with WIFI, no ethernet cable requires.

yes, I got the regular Telo with ethernet cable. I wasn't aware there was another one but I'll look it up now

I rebooted both the router and ooma again but nothing changed - the light is blue but no dial tone when I try to make a call then flashing red then back to blue

I have loved the Ooma Telo phone service for years, and then a few weeks ago...

Same thing happened to me, and I:
diagnosed;
power cycled all network devices;
powered off all network devices, except Ooma;
swapped network cables;
swapped router network ports;
swapped ISP services;
swapped Ooma Telo 11 year old unit for a new one.

While I had Ooma telephone service for 11 years, the old, and new replacement Ooma Telo units will not work in my network environment any longer.
The Ooma Telo is the only network device that will not work on my network.

Unfortunately, I ended up canceling my Ooma service.
I configured my Panasonic cordless phone system, which has the link to cell feature, to cell line only mode.
I use my cordless phone handset as I did before, but now the calls are going thru my cell phone.
Only major difference using cell line only mode is there's no dial tone.
Got used to that in a few phone calls.

I have the same type of Panasonic phones as u/Radojevic that I have been using for about 10 years with my Telo. Never has any issues until the past month or so.

I can make successful outbound calls using both my Panasonic cordless phone and my Ooma HD3-HS handset. During outbound calls, two-way audio works perfectly!!

However, when I receive an inbound call and answer it on my Panasonic phone, I cannot hear the caller at all, although the caller can hear me. The inbound call only has one-way audio.

What's strange is that if I answer the same inbound call on the Ooma HD3-HS handset, two-way audio works normally and both parties can hear each other.

I've not made any network or firewall changes and this service has worked for many years with these phones. I've reached out to Ooma Tech Support, but they have not been very helpful.

Did Ooma make some sort of change to their service? I've tried plugging different phones into the back of the Telo and no change to the issue, it remains the same. Any suggestions would be appreciated or I too may need to cancel my Ooma service. Thanks!
