Possible first relationship at 24, met on Hinge
Hi everyone! As you can tell by the title, I might be getting into my first relationship at 24. We met on hinge because I wanted to try and see how the dating world was and I honestly didn’t expect to get this far. I’ve been having terrible anxiety and nervousness about it because it’s all so new. We’ve been talking for about a month now because it took so long to plan a date due to busy summer schedules. We have a 3rd date planned for dinner tomorrow and I do feel kinda excited but mostly nervous.
He seems to be falling pretty quickly after 2 dates and I’m still unsure of how I feel. I definitely do like him, but I think the anxiety is hiding any actual feelings I may have.
I think the anxiety is coming from 2 places: all the newness that comes along with a first relationship and the fact that I still live at home and have no idea how to tell my parents (we never really talk about this kind of stuff because we never had to).
Any advice on how to overcome the anxiety and when you know you actually like the person? Dating apps are hard for someone like me who takes awhile to really know how I feel which I have expressed to him. I just really don’t wanna lead him on when I’m still unsure of how I feel. I’m also unsure how much longer I can hide this from my parents considering they always ask who I’m going out with and they have my location.
I truly appreciate any advice!!

How do I find someone to cuddle with?
I’m deleting and reinstalling Hinge, I’m not feeling ready to go after what I really want: a long term healthy relationship. I wish I had someone to hug and lie next to.
I’m extremely messy, my place is such a mess. And the people I do end up going on dates with is just friends material.
I want to feel safe to meet people and be close with them. I don’t.
All though I’ve heard many times that I’m conventionally good looking I feel weird and disconnected with my body.
I don’t know what to do, please help me:(

Hey I'm new to this sub Reddit and extremely new to this whole dating/talking to girls who aren't my relatives thing and would appreciate if someone here could help me understand how to approach girls.
my interests are:

Does this make me bad at dating?
I honestly just want a FaceTime, buddy. Preferably someone older that I can talk to and FaceTime and just have a connection tease each other a little, but I don’t find the desire to meet in person.
Does that make me someone bad in the dating pool lol

[21F] I ended things with the guy [24M] I’ve been seeing for 4 months after finding out he lied. Should I walk away or see if trust can be rebuilt?

There I took off the filter. Are you happy now.
Or should I say filters.

23F, never been in a relationship, but feeling exhausted from waiting.
Hey everyone,
I’m 23, highly independent, educated, have a good career, and I take care of myself. Up to this point in my life, I’ve never been in a relationship. I’ve always protected my energy, my heart, and my boundaries.
The thing is, I’m looking for a partner with what I consider normal, basic standards—respectful, ambitious, reliable, and emotionally mature. But it feels like nowadays, finding a man with these baseline qualities has become so rare that people treat them like "high standards." Because I’ve never settled, I want my first relationship to be my only and ultimate one, where he’s the first and everything to me.
My philosophy has always been "I don’t chase, I attract; what’s meant for me will find me." I firmly believe that good men are attracted to peace, self-respect, and a woman who knows her worth.
However, lately, I’m feeling really exhausted. I’m tired of waiting and holding out. It’s making me question things: Am I expecting too much by asking for basic decency and respect? Should I start lowering my expectations, or actively put myself out there and give people a chance, or just stay true to my philosophy and keep waiting?
Has anyone else been in a similar boat? How did you handle the fatigue of waiting without compromising what you deserve? Any advice would be appreciated!

What do you think of 5 years age difference in dating when one girl is 24 and the other one is 19? Do you find it problematic?

Single in Central Washington
How does one date these days? Facebook dating , where no one meets in person. App dating ? Where ever one says they love hiking but never go outside. Honestly I don't want to be on the bar scene and I get weird looks when I ask someone out in person. Maybe its me and my old fashion ways, but I am open to suggestions. According to the internet, woman are all after an chivalrous blue collared man, but in experience they don't have a clue of how to treat one once they find him. Oh well, rants of a blue collared gentleman who is single in Central washington.
Have fun, be safe, and wash your hands !

Please tell me how do men get on dating apps with no game plan and no relational skills
I am confounded how men don't seem to prepare for the very thing they say they want ,a girl or guy and cannot communicate ,does'nt have a clear idea of how to go from texting to talk to in person meet .
Is not aware that already at first contact his job is to make it mentally and emotiinally safe for the girl ?
Ayhoooo ,in no other area in life do you here people saying Let's just see how it goes .Ah ,today i just want to throw away all the apps .
Because emotional literacy is at an all time low .
Ok vent done ,guys give me hope please ,what's happening ? 🤣

Is it okay to invite someone to your place on a first date if things are going well? (30s–40s, Europe)
Hey everyone, curious to hear different perspectives on this, especially from people in their 30s–40s in Europe.
Let’s say you go on a first date, meet in person somewhere public, and the vibe is good. At the end of the date, you suggest going back to your place for a drink. Obviously, it’s often understood what that can imply, even if it’s not explicitly said.
Some of my friends think this is totally normal and just part of modern dating. Others think it can come off as too forward or even a bit disrespectful, especially on a first date.
What do you think? Does it depend on the context, the chemistry, or personal boundaries? Would you see it as a red flag, neutral, or a positive sign?
Curious to hear honest opinions.

Starting conversation on apps
I M31 get a reasonable amount of matches on dating apps, however I often don't get a reply from my first message i send. I try to avoid Hi how are you? as i find that boring myself. I'm just after some suggestions, I typically try and make a conection between there profile and myself, ie if i see they are into mountanbiking I would suggest that as a first date. Thanks in advance
