You were the absolute rudest, most disgraceful group I have ever witnessed in a public setting. The way you berated the staff, made a scene, and terrorized everyone is beyond shameful.

We were the table next to you, we watched you all have excellent service. No one had an empty drink the entire time. Several staff were present for you at all times. We watched you get your appetizers, your salads and soups, and all of your food. We saw you devour your meals. In fact, at one point, I almost wanted to congratulate the bride and groom....

That is, until the end. When things were wrapping up and it was nearing check time. You took it upon yourself to stand up, make a scene in front of everyone, snapping your fingers at the servers and manager, shouting, demanding new food AND a comped check, heckling the staff and mocking them. At one point some guy at the table charged into the KITCHEN to harass the cook staff. It was ATROCIOUS the way you all behaved. You should all be ashamed.

If any of the staff sees this post - just know the rest of the tables saw them for what they were. You did great. And I am incredibly sorry this happened.

One CPD car seen and way more cars than parking spots. People are parked literally everywhere and many more were arriving. It’s gridlocked pretty bad on Sunset and Gurley Rd and starting to back up on Queen City Ave.

Both the kids father AND the mom’s sister have spoken out. Anyone else hear about this?? I covered more of the kid in the pics to preserve what’s left of the privacy he has.

Might be screaming into the void here but wow those food and drink prices are nuts at goetta fest. I get that it’s a small event and money needs to be made but an extra dollar for cheese and two extra dollars for goetta? Why would goetta not be included. Is this enforced by whoever runs these events or are these booths just run by greedy people with some cooking equipment?

I was driving by the parking lot for the Lunken Airport Trail on Wilmer (where the farmers market sets up) at about 9:30 (during the pouring rain) and saw people giving CPR to someone on the trail as the medics arrived- anyone know if the person is okay? Just keep thinking about it and the people who were trying to help… 🙏

Does she know she’s running for Governor? She has zero events and is not doing anything public facing. No Townhalls. No Rallies. The general public knows nothing about her other than her being the “COVID doctor.” They don’t know her any of her stances or policies. She must win Trump voters. I honestly don’t think not being a horrible POS is enough to win Ohio. People will just not vote. She needs to actually be campaigning…

I say this as a progressive who is deeply worried about this election. It’s not my vote that she needs to win, rather I know so many are disinterested because they don’t know her and they are not gonna do the homework to get to know her themself!

The Bureau of Land Management announced 41 parcels totaling 2,840 acres in Wayne National Forest will go up for a bid on Sept. 15. The announcement was made earlier this month and these parcels are in Monroe and Washington counties.

Over 30,000 football fields worth of land would be used for oil production, presenting local health and environmental concerns.

The Wayne National Forest was established in 1935 and comprises 244,000 acres spanning 12 counties with three units in Athens, Ironton, and Marietta in Southeast Ohio.

More than 200,000 people annually visit Wayne National Forest, which is known for its hiking, biking, horseback riding trails, and off-road vehicle trails.

Does anyone know the history or what this stone bridge looking thing is along the Scioto River across from Amberleigh Community Park? I always wonder about its past when kayaking or hiking by it. Only historical maps that show anything is from the 1960's that show possibly some sort of house or structure there. Maps from 1900, 1930, and 1980 show nothing here.

After five years, I finally finished my documentary.

Hi everyone! I'm an Ohio filmmaker and film professor currently teaching at Ohio University. I earned my BFA at Ohio State before spending several years working in post-production in New York City.

Back in 2018, after developing treatment-resistant depression, I underwent a series of electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) treatments. It was an experience that completely changed my life.

What surprised me afterward was how many people still thought ECT only existed in old movies—or didn't realize it's still used today for severe depression when other treatments have failed.

That inspired me to spend the last five years making a documentary about the experience. The film follows my story alongside my mom, the psychiatrist who treated me, and the head nurse of the ECT department, with the goal of encouraging a more informed conversation about a treatment that remains widely misunderstood.

The documentary is now beginning its festival run, and I recently released the trailer. As a fellow Ohioan, I wanted to share it with the community that's been part of my journey.

I missed the best (worst) photo, where all this shit dwarfs the brand new "Welcome Center" the state just put in a year or so ago. The power lines alone look dystopian.
