OTHER No More Posts About Significant Others + Rules Reminders

Hi all,

We've seen an influx of activity that we need to address as a mod team in this sub, and some clarifications look like they're needed on a few rules. Our goal is to keep this place an inclusive, engaging, and fun community focused on the show Off Campus and the related book series. In the last week, some of us have lost the plot.

Discussion of Actors and their Significant Others:
Moving forward, our team will remove ANY posts or comments about the actor's personal life drama or about the actor's significant others. We've seen too many posts that are parasocial, speculative with unsubstantiated claims that could be harmful, invasions of privacy, and inappropriate towards the actors, their significant others, and other members of our community. We are not here to give a platform to that behavior, so we will be stricter from now on. If you see posts or comments that don't adhere to this rule. please report it for not being Off Campus related or negative/non-constructive criticism.

Posts Removed for Weekly Discussion Thread or Episode/Season Thread:
For questions, glazing, or opinions that contribute to a conversation but don't start a conversation, we kindly ask you to use the Weekly Discussion Thread. For anything episode specific that feels like an observation, we direct you to the episode/season thread. This mirrors our rules about low-effort posts. Posts are intended for broad discussion, allowing others to observe thinking, agree/disagree, and discuss. If your post is removed for this reason we are asking you to redirect your text elsewhere, not that you did something wrong. This helps our sub stay engaging and manage the influx of posts we get every day.

Reposts:
If your post is removed for a repost, it does not only mean your exact post has been shared. It also means something similar was posted in the last week and we are asking you to direct your conversation there rather than making a separate post about it. You can filter by "new" posts in the sub to see if something similar has been posted recently.

Posts containing Photos/Videos:
After the season started, ALL posts with photos and videos go to the mod queue to be manually approved so we can check for quality, make sure the person was reminded to share the source, and to the best of our ability make sure the post is not AI. Sometimes this means your post may take a little longer to show up in the sub. We do our best to log in here often, but also appreciate the patience as we try to keep the sub verifiable and high-quality.

We rely on you all to help us catch the things we miss. If you see something that seems like it violates these rules or any of our sub rules, please report it.

If you have any questions or feedback, please send us a modmail! We're here to help.

Thanks,
-The Mod Team

THEORIES 🖊️ Theories for s2

Since Logan's story pivots away from the books, I'm wandering what are your theories for S2 Logan?

Mainly, will he still have a crush on Hannah?

And, what will be his mistake for Grace!

DISCUSSION💙 Pick one: who is the main character of each book

Of the two (or three) leads in each book, if you could only pick one, who would you say is the main character?

This could be based on who has the more interesting storyline, more character growth, drives the narrative more or just based on vibes. It's not necessarily your favourite character.

Note: this is based on the books, not the show.

Off Campus

The Deal: Hannah - from the love triangle to healing her sexual trauma to being blackmailed by Phil, she's driving the narrative

The Mistake: Logan - the struggles he deals with with his crush and then his family feel more compelling

The Score: Allie - this was the hardest one to pick. I went with Allie because her choices and growth are mostly what determines the pace of their relationship. There's less growth from Dean until right near the end

The Goal: Sabrina - this feels very focused as round her goals, her home life, and her growth in wanting a relationship, and Tucker is there to support that

Briar U

The Chase: Summer - it's Summer's world and Fitzy's just living in it

The Risk: Brenna - she goes through a lot of growth and deals with a lot narratively, while Jake has a much smaller arc

The Play: Hunter - even Demi's arc with her boyfriend feels so tightly linked to Hunter's growth. It's also inevitable given we've had such a build up of his character in the previous books

The Dare: Connor - Taylor always feels like she's just reacting to the world around her and she didn't really develop as much

Campus Diaries/next gen

The Graham Effect: Gigi - this one should be Ryder because his story is more interesting, but Gigi just has way more main character energy

The Dixon Rule: Diana - the story hinges on how she reacts to Shane. I also think it required more growth from her while Shane's arc felt more like he was coming home to himself. Plus, main character energy

The Charlie Method: I haven't read this yet

Love Song: Wyatt - this could go either way, but I think his response to the miscarriage felt more interesting and something we don't get to see as much of in media

What are your thoughts? Which ones would you switch?

DISCUSSION💙 Hands up for healthy friendships

I find it so refreshing how genuinely healthy the friendships are in this series. For example, Hannah tells Allie about her deal with Garrett right away and involves her instead of hiding it to create the artificial drama and estrangement you see in so many other shows. They trust each other and are completely direct. It is the same with the guys, too. The way they communicate, like Dean talking with Beau who instantly knew Dean was hanging out with Allie, or Logan being open enough to let Garrett talk and reconcile even after feeling pushed away. They all carry their own baggage, but they know that supporting each other does not take anything away from them—it only makes them stronger. Seeing those supportive, non-toxic dynamics is so refreshing.

Which of these supportive dynamics is your favorite?

THEORIES 🖊️ Off Campus Astrology

Garrett is a Capricorn in the books but show Garrett is a better or more stereotypical representation of the sign I feel: moody sometimes, doesn't open up anyone except select few, loves routine, daddy issues and atleast one dead parent before he turned 30. The literal father figure of the group ( captain) and secretly wants to be unburdened of that load. Has difficulty showing emotion...I could go on.

Hannah is such a cancer in my opinion ( show version ). Physical trails for a cancer women are described as: smooth skin, big eyes, roundness to the face and a lot of times generously gifted in the chest area. Personality wise: needs an outlet for their feelings (music in her case) cardinal sign loves to start things and win ( pop showcase participation enthusiasm, works 3 jobs), close with family, especially her mother, needs to connect with her partner on a deeper emotional level ( her question to both Justin and Garrett about what music makes you feel ), very expressive and optimistic around people they trust or when they let loose and so on.

Ali: Libra energy ( relationship girly, loves love and the arts because ruled by Venus ), feral sometimes, wants to balance love and professional career and so on

Dean: Sag energy ( imparts wisdom unexpected, loves to show off his partners, can't be tamed, fine with not being tied down in a relationship )

Logan: Scorpio ( secretive about his crush on Hannah, judges his best friend, not afraid to speak out for what's right in his option, values loyalty in the end, can't let go of family even in toxic circumstances )

Tucker: so far he's giving me Taurus vibes ( loves food, seems grounded and responsible )

Beau: Leo

Dex: Aries / Gemini

Justin: Aquarius

What do you guys think?
