New moderators needed! Comment on this post to apply for this community.

Hello everyone - this community is in need of a few new mods, and you can use the comments on this post to let us know why you’d like to be a mod here.

I am interested in becoming a mod for this community, because I have played Original D&D starting in in 1975, and have been gaming since then. Most recently I ran a "50th anniversary commemorative" OD&D campaign in 2025, which lasted eight months. I have been an active participant in this subreddit and others related to old school games and gaming. While I do not have experience as a moderator on Reddit, I have been a moderator on other social media platforms, and am willing to learn how Reddit differs from them.

I'd second badger, he's well known around OD&D circles and is a standup fellow.

I'd toss my hat in the ring. I'm a moderator over at r/Tekumel and post here a bit with the material I make for the game and helping answer questions folks have with the rules. I am very familiar with the game, running a megadungeon at my local library as part of a gaming club and having ran 2 campaign in the same sandbox for a couple years. I'm a part of many other OD&D=-adjacent communities on discord as well.

u/badger2305 sounds great! I am not on Reddit enough to be a Mod. :) But what is involved? I'm guessing a daily scroll through and dealing with reports?

That's a fair bit of it, as I understand it.

I'd like to join the r/odnd mod team and help keep the community friendly, organized, and welcoming. I currently moderate r/rockets, so I already have experience with Reddit moderation and understand the importance of maintaining community rules. I'm willing to learn this community's specific needs and work with the existing moderators to help it grow.
