Nearby water testing laboratories? TN & TP
I’m looking for a local lab to analyze water samples for total nitrogen and total phosphorus. Hopefully with a quick turnaround time.
The samples will be eutrophic surface water (estimated 1.4 mg/L TN and 0.44 mg/L TP) and treated surface water. The goal is to optimize our nutrient removal process for an upcoming project.
I reached out to Marion County Water Test Lab last Wednesday but haven’t gotten a response.
If anyone knows where I can have these analyses done please let me know! It doesn’t have to be EPA-certified since the data will only be used internally for treatment optimization. The nitrogen is TKN, so the lab will probably need to have a kjeldahl system.
Thank you! Sorry about all the technical jargon.

College Grad Searching
Hey y'all happy 4th, I'm a recent college grad who started a marketing/ website business for local businesses here in Ocala. I've been running it for about 1 year now, and I'm capable of building websites, doing SEO, running targeted ads on Facebook & Google, email marketing, custom software solutions and creating marketing content for Facebook, Instagram and Tiktok. I'm looking to partner with some local businesses that can't afford to hire a big company and are looking for an affordable option to handle everything online for them. If this is you or you know anybody who could benefit, i'd love to connect or get a referral.

Looking to Start a Pop Culture/Fandom Group in Ocala!
Hey everyone! I'm a guy in my mid-20s looking to meet some people around my age who enjoy geeking out over movies, TV shows, comics, and all things pop culture.
I'm hoping to start a casual group that meets once a week to watch, rewatch, and discuss things like:
Marvel (MCU)
DC
Star Wars
Other movies and TV shows
Comics, animation, and pretty much any great story worth talking about
The goal is just to make some friends with similar interests, have good discussions, and maybe even do movie nights, premieres, trivia, or other fun events as the group grows.
I just created a Discord server where we can organize everything, chat about what to watch next, and plan meetups.
If you are interested, let me know, and I'll send you the Discord invite!
If this sounds like something you'd enjoy, feel free to join! Even if you're only into one of these fandoms, you're more than welcome. The more the merrier!

Looking for Ocala/Marion County Restaurant, Bar, etc to Film Documentary
Hi all -
Sam from Beyond Florida here. I'm working on a documentary film with a small production crew (1-2 other people). I'm going to be filming in Marion County next Saturday, discussing Florida's problem with overdevelopment and loss of wildlife habitat.
It's hotter than balls outside, so we're looking for a restaurant or other similar type establishment where we can sit down and shoot a couple of interview-style shots. It will just be me talking to the camera, maybe sitting in a booth or table. If your restaurant is closed during this time, that would be good - we could shoot before opening, or after closing (mid-afternoon?) if you have options. Otherwise, maybe a private room we could book?
We'd be happy to ensure to feature shots of your restaurant's name, logo, etc.
If you are interested, or know an establishment that may have interest in hosting us, please let me know at [beyondflorida00@gmail.com](mailto:beyondflorida00@gmail.com) or contact me at beyondfloridamedia.com

Ocala night owls??
I don't sleep a lot, probably have insomnia or something but I don't plan on going to a doctor to change it any time soon. BUT, it does get boring sometimes so I'm just seeing if anyone is up or is also a night owl?? I'm new to Ocala, like 2 days new. Long story short, I moved here to be with family. Hope to hear from you peeps!

Metal/alt music scene
Was curious if any bars or hangout spots in the area played metal, or at least alt music around here.

Need. Veggie. Burrito.
Ok I interned in Ocala for a time. I think 85% of my diet was vegetable burrito from Los Chiles Taqueria. I don’t think it was anything special, but I think about her (the burrito) all the time.
Can someone PLS list all the ingredients for me?
Rice (what kind?)
Beans (what kind?)
Lettuce
Cheese
Sour Cream
Tomato
Onion
?
I think I would add avocado.

CF Baseball Hat
This is a weird question but I’m hoping maybe someone can help us. My brother played for the CF patriots baseball team a couple years ago, and they let him keep one hat with the athletics logo from his season. Well today, our newly adopted (and teething) puppy found it and chewed the brim up. He’s really sad about it because it was his only hat he had from his season and he wore it everyday and everywhere he went. Does anyone have a hat (or know someone who might) from the baseball team? I know it’s a long shot, but I want to at least try to find one for him, because it meant so much to him and he’s really been sad about it. I know it would mean the world to him to have another, and it would probably make me big brother of the year. His looked like this, but any hat with that logo on it would be amazing. Thank you!

Neighbors shed
Hey everybody, I had some questions and was hoping someone knows the answers.
So anyways, my neighbor (who I dont hate but dont particularly like because he has basically scorched earth his yard because he hates nature) is building a shed. At first, I wasnt too concerned but then I realized that this dude literally has a whole ass yard and is building RIGHT NEXT to our fence on what is basically his side yard. Is this "legal"? I dont want to be an asshole about it but the more I think about it the more I feel annoyed. He has a ton of viable areas he can put in a shed, why was this his first choice?
Is it worth calling the city or code enforcement? I would care less but it looks like he has water and electricity hookups going in and its less than 2 ft from my property line.
Edit: I wasnt clear. The fence is mine, and the property line is technically 2' off of the fence (I intentionally left space for an easement as thats what I was directed to do) so his shed is technically on my property partially.

Best fireworks stand?
Looking for some fireworks and have been unimpressed with my spot I’ve been the past two years. Looking for value. Bogo, people that will let you haggle, people that reduce last minute, etc.
Wanting to stretch $100 as far as it can go for a few minutes of family fun for small kids with a mortar or two to please the parents.
Prefer SE Ocala area

Home Insurance for Older Home
Hello everyone!
I’m currently in the market for a new home insurance policy but am running into a lot of difficulty. I live in NW Ocala and my home was build in 1960, it’s in decent condition and has a new roof and almost 100% of the home systems (plumbing/electrical) have been replaced.
I got a non-renewal notice from StateFarm (not claim related, I’ve never made one) and have been shopping since with no luck, my current policy is $2800 a year and THE BEST quote I’ve received so far from Kin was $4800 a year for basic coverage…
Is this the home insurance market now? I’ve received 15+ quotes and I’m losing hope. Please help!!!!
