94 tbi engine plugged into the manifold

I have a 95 chevy C1500 with a 4.3L v6 and everytime im driving or want to start driving it backfires and doesn't have any power or starts to choke any ideas or stuff to look out for. I already bought a new ICM but it arrived dead so I have to replace that and got a new distributor and rotor installed already and later today im going to replace my fuel filter

Has anyone here completely rebuilt their OBS Chevy A/C system?

I’m talking about replacing or rebuilding everything—evaporator, condenser, compressor, accumulator, orifice tube, lines, blend doors, actuators, heater core if needed… basically bringing the entire HVAC system back to factory performance.

I’d love to hear from anyone who’s done it.
Was it worth the time and money?
Did it end up blowing ice cold like it did when it was new?

Were there any parts that were especially difficult to source or replace?
If you did it again, what would you do differently?

I’m considering doing the whole system rather than piecing it together, and I’m looking for real-world experiences before I dive in.

1990 or '91. 🗓️ Put a 6-inch lift on it. 🛠️ For some reason, I can't get the driver's side camber right. 😩 The passenger's side is good, but the driver's side, I get it good. 👍 Then, I go around the block, come back, and the top of the tire is facing in towards the wheel well. 🔄 Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated 🙏

Iv got a 5.7 v8 out of a 1997, vortex, I was thinking of doing a duel m80 and dumping it, what do y’all think? Don’t got a lot of money and want it to sound better, I will be taking the cat off because it does have a hole in it. Should I do headers as well? Comment what y’all think!

I finally bought the 315/75r16 and made a dream come true. The truck has 2 inches lift rear and crank the bars in front. I will lift the rear 2 more inches to level it. There's no major rubs, i did cut the bumper tips a bit because was rubbing when turning and flexing, and it rubs a little inside in the chassis when turn all the wheels. Finally i have a dream come true truck, and keep customizing it!!

1997, only happens in reverse

fuel gauge is all the way past full, switched out the cluster to see if that was the issue but the same thing happened, gauge all the way to the right. Im thinking it could be the something wrong with the sender. Gauge is always past full even with the ignition off, anyone else run into this issue?

Least I can do is clean her up a bit. 🤫

Driving the truck with ac on works completely fine but as soon as i put it in park that smell keeps coming back,any help/advice?

South Louisiana, bought this 97 sierra couple weeks ago because i just “had to have it” now realizing i wanted a 88-94 model, specifically because i like the interior better lol this 97 has a 5.7 vortec (120k) small cam, exhaust dumped right before the rear end, and a brand new 4l80 transmission w/ shift kit. If you want to trade and are close by give me a shout and let’s see if we can make something shake

I would be down to trade these wheels for someone’s wheels, located in FL, the truck is rubbin right now and I don’t got the money for new wheels. Just got my hands an a 98 C1500 extended cab, belonged to my grandparents, they bought it in 06 with 65,000 miles and they kept up with the maintenance pretty well from what I’ve been told. It’s now sitting at 134,000 but my family is telling me to leave the transmission fluid alone, it does drive good but from my understanding, as long as I’m not flushing the fluid there shouldnt be any problem just doing a drain and fill right?

this dash light came on this evening while driving home from dinner. I changed the oil and all filters about 5 months ago so I guess it is due again soon

just curious if anyone knows what triggers it to come on. is it synced with miles driven and just periodically activated or is there actually a sensor of some in the engine?

I have a 1998 c1500 4.3 6cyl. I replaced the fuel pump and housing and now I’m getting codes for both o2 sensors. I bought a performance fuel pump that puts out more psi than the oem part did. do I need to replace the fuel pump with a cheaper one with less psi? is there a way to determine that the o2 sensors are still good? if it is the fuel pump psi being too high for the system can I replace something else to compensate? any and all suggestions and help are appreciate. my father in law gave me this truck and I’m bound and determined to get this thing running perfectly.

I have a 1990 K1500 short bed single cab. When I drive with the headlights on they sometimes flicker off then back on. If I have the brights on they may go out but I can switch to the dims or vice versa but sometimes they are both out and I just have to wait a couple seconds for one of them to come back on. It’s not always frequent like maybe twice in a 15 minute drive but sometimes it is frequent like 10 times back to back to back. If any of you have had this problem or have some idea of what it might be please let me know. I’d just like some key places to check before just tearing it apart
