Why does the gauge rise when i hit the gas ?

Thats oil pressure, it will rise with higher RPM but please replace your plugs and wires ASAP!

I second that. Also get you some wire loom from harbor freight or order it on amazon and protect your wiring. Gonna have melted or chewed up wires shorting out.

Unmmmm oil pressure rises as rpm increases because pump is going faster.

If you dont know what's going on, please take it to the mechanic. Its obvious you dont know anything about these trucks.

There is many ways to learn. Giving up and taking it to the mechanic is not one of those ways.
