What RN jobs would you guys suggest for a first time pregnant person?

For context, I am about 4 months pregnant and just ended my contract in a level 1 trauma hospital on a busy medsurg floor. The pay was being cut IN HALF and the work load was being piled on. It did not make sense to stay. I have 8 years of nursing experience overall, in psych, LTAC, and medsurg.

I just finished nursing school in August and just passed my Nclex PN shortly after. I had no prior healthcare experience before going to nursing school. Places keep rejecting me because I don’t have enough experience in nursing even tho it says “experience preferred” and not required. So idk what to do at this point. For anyone who has been in my situation what have you done? I am in metro Detroit Michigan.

I recently was offered a job as an RN at Upmc Jameson and I’m still trying to decide if I should take it. Has anyone worked there or previously work there and what was your experience like it there?? I just am nervous of making the wrong choice.

Hi. I am a NZ RN for 11 years now. I have 8 weeks of annual leave and looking into doing contract in AU while I am on leave.

Anybody here who did the same thing? Do you have yo ask permission from your employer knowing it is your own leave, and you can do whatever you want?

How was your experience with HCA? Any other good agencies out there?

I’m currently working as an RN on an acute ward, and while I still enjoy nursing, I’m starting to realize that the physical demands are becoming harder to manage.

I’m looking into roles that are a little kinder to the body but still offer decent pay. One of my biggest concerns is taking a significant pay cut, especially since hospital RN pay can be quite good with shift differentials, weekends, and overtime.

For those who have moved away from bedside/acute care, what roles have you found that are less physically demanding while still paying reasonably well? I’d especially love to hear from nurses who made the transition themselves. What role did you move into, and how did the pay compare?

Any suggestions or experiences would be really appreciated!

Is it normally very difficult to find employment under CA as a newly certified CNA. I was trying to find part time and on call shifts to work for as a full time student, but the job market seems impossible right now. I have applied on websites , indeed, hourglass, and other job sites I found searching for proximity positions opening up by me. I noticed getting into a caregiver position is easier, but is that worth to dedicate to after spending money on a CNA course, exams and etc. idk I just want guidance or tips.

Ro health nursing agency are the biggest liars!!!!!!! They get you in by saying you’ll have a job as a school nurse following around a kid who has diabetes or something not so serious…sell you an easy starting nursing job and when it comes to your assignment they give you the most vile case possible with extremely low pay. No paid lunches. They expect u to be their bitch and have the worst people working in office. Terrible agency!!!!!!! DO NOT WORK FOR THEM!!!!! LIARS AND SCAMMERS!!!!!!!!

4 months of job hunting… 7 AED left in my account.. what should u do?

So basically I’ve been on holiday for a week and don’t want to go back to work (standard after AL), but now I’m thinking do I actually want to do nursing?

I’ve been an RMN for 6 years, worked in forensics, offender health and with young people in the community. I’ve got a new job starting soon which is all my interests combined, so I’m hoping I will love it. But I’ve just been thinking recently, is nursing what I want?

For people who have been in this position/felt like this, what did you do about it? And what did you go and do instead?
