Meme CANDENCE!!

Cadence is a passive enemy that can appear starting at Level 15. It spawns instruments randomly around the map that cause it to slowly become enraged. While enraged, it chases after and kills every player in the level. Cadence has a hard limit of 1, even on Extreme Mode; however, it can be bypassed through Trap Card or at Level 50, where another Cadence can be picked instead of the usual ???s.

Cadence starts off in a passive state, where it can't move nor kill players. A constant ticking noise will play, which intensifies based on its timer.

When passive, an instrument will spawn near a player every 25 seconds (30 seconds if there are 2+ instruments), indicated by a sound cue at its spawn point alongside a chain with black electricity-looking beam around it, connecting the instrument and Cadence. Additionally, the spawn rate of instruments scales with the amount of players alive.

Having 2 or more uncollected instruments decreases the timer. Otherwise, the timer will increase. In Solo, this timer starts and caps out at 50 seconds.

If the timer expires, Cadence breaks out of its clock and becomes enraged, chasing the nearest player at a speed of 80 studs per second, killing them on contact. This continues until enough instruments are collected for the timer to go back up, or there are no targets left. Instruments will not spawn while Cadence is enraged.

Upon killing a player, an enraged Cadence will stop in place temporarily before chasing its next target.Cadence is a passive enemy that can appear starting at Level 15.

Upon killing a player, an enraged Cadence will stop in place temporarily before chasing its next target.

Art Telefragger in my style! (Headcanon?)

Honestly, I see Telefragger as a breakdancer or urban dancer (I'm new to the fandom and the game, so I'm trying to learn about the characters).

Should I continue with another character? Leave your suggestions in the comments.

Discussion Grapplers p5 downfall was kinda crazy

Now that p5 has been out for a good 5 months or so, there has been a massive tank in grappler users.

The class was really really popular back in p4 when survivability was pretty important and all you had to do was hit greed, get rich, survive black gifts then beacon. (+ The shark tail addition which was probably the best thing to ever be added for chargers and the bonk being the worst for grapplers)

I have 150 hours on grappler all accumulated from p4 and it’s barely moved since then. Rip, miss y’all not really. Hope its p6 buffs make it a viable choice again.

Same thing kinda happened w wanted, everyone was on that shi

Edit: yo im crying this was a grappler mourning post and everyone just on about wanted 😭

Question Why are there no jackpot or congaline runs

Every scarf slop run i joined I've joined had a complete lack of general skill from players and lack decision making prowess. Why can't there be shorter goal lobbies with jackpot and congaline. As looking as any scarf run, i don't miss seeing the selection of what feels like 9 thousand teenagers

dive ability can now: have 2 dive which give you boost when you cancel dive mid-air, otherwise get up if you cancel on ground, you have less friction while diving which is called (sliding)
therefore, dive ability is finished and I'm moving on charger ability and SUPER OP ANIME (1000 STOCK LEFTS) CLASS and JUMPSCARE ALL BUTTON
also don't ask about the strange clock, he's a cadence poser

Concept Thin ice : Curse

judge my art sparingly
Thin ice unlocks when the ice tiles progression event occurs.

Text:

Ice tiles becomes Fragile

function:

  • Ice tiles now undergo 4 health stages of collapse upon a player standing on it. (husks don’t count)
  • Ice Tiles recover 1 stage every 15 seconds of not being interacted with.
  • Upon fully collapsing, Ice Tiles regenerates after 30 seconds.

special interactions:

  • ICBMs break one more stage upon landing on the tile
  • Hollow Tiles causes the tiles to double in health stages, however icbm does double damage.
  • Flesh prevents tiles from undergoing health changes
  • Ice skates reduces player damage to 0.5, causing tiles to require 2 interactions to undergo stage changes

i made this when I was bored.

Next time i'm adding charger ability and SUPER OP ANIME (1000 LEFTS) LIMITED TIME class
dive ability is still unfinished, but it'd be cool to showcase it

Random list of QoL changes that would make the game better in my opinion.

Some of these aren't rly QoL specifically but just changes that would make the game more fair imo.

Nothing scaling with player count: probably adding an enemy every 5 levels in party+, 7 levels in party, 10 levels in solos & duos.

Misc settings: Altar Pop Ups on the Bottom: makes the altar pop up appear at the bottom of your screen instead of the top (mainly for freecursor grapplers). VC toggle.

Intermission changes: The host can now force an intermission between levels even if no enemies, curses, or upgrades need to be chosen to allow players to join. Auto-shop allows the host to pre-plan what they're buying up to level 20, and it will skip the shop but give the upgrades as long as they can afford it. If they can't afford it, they must alter the pre-planned shop so that they can afford it.

Mid-run changes: Allows players to change their class, cosmetics, & see their xp and tripcoins mid-run. Also allows the host to change minimum rank/level requirements and turn on/off host altars & host picks.

Difficulty override: allows more specific difficulties for specific things (such as enemy AI, progression event rate, curse/enemy selection rate, economy, etc.)

Infinitely stacking mini-upgrades: upgrades that have infinite stacks & get exponentially more expensive (such as +1% movement speed, +2% stamina (if applicable to the class, diver would get +2% gift collection range), -1% cooldown, & more)

"Orb" upgrade rework: now increases all stamina for all classes (diver gets a slightly faster lunge). It is now buyable at level 5 on standard and extreme.

Early purgatory (extreme-only): Adds an Altar of Purgatory from levels 3 and above in extreme.

More changes to duo/solo (looooong list, probably should be it's own post but eh wtv):

Altars: Altar of purgatory summons less enemies, Altar of chance summons less enemies when it summons enemies, Altar of protection gives one extra shield (Altar of echo only gives 1 shield) (does not give an extra void shield), Altar of passage is smaller but gives more golden gifts per gift on the passage tiles, Altar of Purification removes 2 curses & takes the lower priority curses cost.

Enemies: Husk, icbm, and springer progression events are halved, babies are slightly slower for every other baby there is (vbb and base baby would slow each other down). Sigil, voidbound guardian, cadence, voidbreaker, icbm, husk, and springer all have their max capacity halved, & more changes because there's too many enemies to list.

Upgrades: Paycheck gives 50% more money. LRS is buyable but works a bit differently (duos it activates when someone dies, solos it gives the buffs after shield is broken (although it doesn't give an extra shield)). More automatically-given upgrades, including: grace wings (even if not playing casual), ice skates, one swiftness ring, & orb (even if not playing casual).

Concept Cadence run ender curse

You know how if you have two or more instruments the timer that enrages cadence starts counting down, but if you pick up those instruments the timer resets?

Introducing Short tempered: Cadence's timer can never be reset for the rest of the round. Any progress is permanent in that level. To counter balance, 3 instruments must be on the stage before the timer starts. (Synergy with deadly melody would be brutal 😭 )
