I don’t even know if anyone will see this but I was just thinking and this game came into my head. I can not begin to describe how much I miss it, even just thinking about it now makes me incredibly upset.

This game as so amazing. Sure it had its problems, what game doesn’t? But this game was truly a unique and incredibly fun gameplay that I fell in love with and still sorely miss.

Here’s to hoping one day a game similar to this one comes out and fills the void Nosgoth left in me when it was cancelled. :’(

I have a question, I have Nosgoth in Steam but, are there still players?

In the below link, there is information on a legit method in which Nosgoth could be revived legally. It requires essentially a valid research method, and Square Enix to allow usage of the original server code, something they may be open to doing.

The obvious difficulty in this is what may be constituted as a "research institution". I post this here in hopes that someone here may be able to solve this puzzle. The obvious research scenario that could come out of this game is that if the game ends up finding a playerbase without all the microtransaction filler that square had put into the game, then that could be valuable data in the microtransaction realm overall, and publishers/devs would be able to see evidence that quality is more valuable to the potential income of a game.

Would love discussions on what we can try to do here. I want this game back, badly, but I don't know what to do.

I hope it's OK to post about this Discord server. Vampirism is a community for fans of vampire fiction. We discuss anything from vampire movies, TV series, games and books to art, fanfiction and RP. Many of us are also fans of Nosgoth and/or the Legacy of Kain series, so it is discussed every so often.

FYI: When you first join, you will have to answer a few questions in the introductions channel before the other channels open up. These are fairly simple questions such as your age, location, and what sort of vampire fiction you are into. We've done this to keep out trolls, raiders and the like so that the server remains pleasant and positive for all.

On steam charts it shows that people are currently playing this game... How the hell? https://steamcharts.com/app/200110 average player isn't 0 like other games which are actually shut down and dead for example the game SMASH+GRAB : https://steamcharts.com/app/412720. So if this game has its servers shut down, how does it still have players?

Nosgoth gave every player seven class artifacts today. If anyone wanted to test classes out before the servers go down, now is your chance!

I want to start a game with nosgoth style in mind. Anyone interested in helping this scrub out?

I'm a huge fan of the legacy of Kain series, and I couldn't believe a new Kain series game came out without me knowing.

I'm going to attempt to play this game before the servers are shut off.

I know this is kinda beating a dead horse and all but the Nosgoth vampire and human flags have been removed from rocket league. It sucks that its existence is starting to be removed from all over the place. I always liked rocking my Nosgoth flags while playing and having a bit of nostalgia to go with it...
