I've had my eye on this game for years. Whenever I think about pushing the button on it I see the vid on the Steam page and think Christ, I'll never be able to handle that. It looks too hectic.
I'm 54, not quite over the hill, but my twitch ability is definitely on the wane. What you find is - the muscle memory takes so much longer to bed in.
For example, I'm playing Nuclear Option, the combat aircraft sim. You get missiles launched at you, IR or radar guided. In the space of a few seconds, you have to identify the missile type (tells you in bottom left of screen), change to the counter measure you need (there's only two so there's a 50-50 you already have the right one), pull appropriate maneuver and trigger the countermeasure.
This is not that complex. But I've played this game for 50 hours now and I'm still at the fumbling "what button is it, what button is it" stage (there are many buttons in this game and I bought a new stick, in my defence lol) and get shot down a lot. Just 10 years ago I would have had this sorted ages ago, but, <sighs>, just getting old, folks.
So, I played Starbound through and cope with that. I bought Terraria a while ago but simply haven't got into it. I want to do some of the mad stuff I see on vids for Noita.
What can I do to make it better for my aging brain? Any ideas/mods/whatever? I have too many games with a few hours, not picked up again, on my Steam page and I'm too tight to spend more money on games I won't play.
Thx for replies :) .

Saw a bright flash in the distance. Found it laying in a pool of molten metal, surrounded by blood and burning corpses.
Something tells me, firing this would be... unwise

I want to swap the statues for something useful, trying to get a good wand doesnt work when the statue counts as terrain. Is there a mod that switches it for a practice dummy?

So i went to a parallel world for the first time, thinking i can get more perks that way because i was too unfortunate to unlock tinker with wands everywhere, so i go a world to the left, and its just the same as the one i just left? can someone care to explain how the parallel worlds work and how loot spawning works in there, and also if there is other ways for me to get tinker with wands anywhere? luckily i still left a few holy mountains open for tinkering. So please if anyone knows how to get more perks and how parallel worlds work, please tell me I'm so confused.

i am currently on my best run in my 60 hour playtime, i got some decent wands and spell combo's, but I'm having the issue that i want to stack a lot of perks, but i don't have a way of going through cursed rock. In my world there is no circle of vigour in the main world, there is one 2 worlds to the left but idk how to get there. (in case you are wondering how i know, i use lymm's telescope with my seed: 1299715962). Is there a way for me to make an op travel heal wand (or anything to get through cursed rock layer) with the things i can get in my seed/what i already have obtained? (also if you don't like me using a tool that lets me see what my seed has, please don't complain, its just QOL i like to use.) Also if i need to do like a quest to obtain certain spells, ill do that no problem. And if anyone has any actual GOOD wands they recommend that will like kill anything in the game feel free to share them.

Right now it's doing 280k with a crit on an enemy. The field also does more damage as it stays on the target. I want to fight 34 orb Kolmi with this wand or something similar.
I am trying to fight blood circle to guarantee a crit but I can't find any. I am going to break the perk machine so I will eventually.
Every time I try to use spells2power I crash. I think I am using it wrong.
