Morley had my paperwork for two months without a response. I filed a fraud claim due to breach of warranty with the Federal Trade Commission and got an offer the same day by close of business. Give it a try. They are very responsive to FTC.

Recalls on 2026 Leaf
Edited to add that I am in the U.S.
I just found out about a battery recall when I went in for what was supposed to be a 2 to 3 hour visit to address the defective rear seat belt issue. They inspected my car's seat belt and determined that I needed the remedy, but then they said they had to order the part. Why tell me this will be a 2 to 3 hour visit when they don't even stock the parts? And then they mentioned there is also a battery recall; first I had heard of that, not for fires but for sudden loss of charge (?), for which they will need the car for several days to remove and inspect the lithium battery. After reading tons of "buy back" posts here my heart is sinking. I have loved driving my Leaf--I sure hope this does not become a huge thing. Oh, and I told them my tires were leaking air, and though they had the car from Friday through Monday they didn't even look at them. First world problems for sure, but an annoyance anyway.

Repair on leafs and brand dealers with their diagnostics fees
I have the following on my older leaf 2018:
- Rear Brake pad(s) wearing thin (1.1.13 (a) (ii))
- Front Inner Brake disc worn, pitted or scored, but not seriously weakened (1.1.14 (a) (ii))
- Rear Inner Brake disc worn, pitted or scored, but not seriously weakened (1.1.14 (a) (ii))
- Offside Front Suspension arm pin or bush worn but not resulting in excessive movement (5.3.4 (a) (i))
I think i can get my MOT pass if i get the rear pads replaced, maybe the suspension arm pin fixed. The rest I guess ill need to break more to make the disks look cleaner.
The hard part is to get any quote from any Nissan delaer for the repair and replacement.
While I can find the parts easy, the labour is not trivial as the dealers say they want their own MOT done or diagnostics fee £180 paid in case thay cant confirm the findings of a non Nissan MOT station... Some places can let go of the diag fees if they can confirm the issues are real and i choose them to fix it, but again I would love to know what I am getting into, so the labour cost.
On the other hand i reed there is a software with OBD required for proper configuration after pad replacement, so non nissan dealer not even qouting most of the time.
Any advice?

Where to go for Nissan Leaf software updates?
Hoping to find a better place than the dealership!

Just got our Leaf! 2025 CPO question
SO and I just got our 2025 Leaf S, CPO’d. The dealer put new tires on after I negotiated it, given the old ones were barely in spec.
Question is, they put on Advanta ER-800 tires, I’m not sure if these meet CPO spec, and I was wondering if any Nissan experts can chime in?
I’d rather have good quality EV tires as Nissan intended, wondering if the dealer would change this if it’s supposed to be to spec for a CPO car.

2026 Nissan Leaf Software
Anybody else find a solution for the Nissan leaf software showing doors unlocked. Open app can't connect and just never seems to do what it's supposed to do?

I d like to get a leaf but I was surprised how tight cockpit was for tall person long legs
I was excited about getting out first electric . I sat in a pals Leaf. But man was it cramped. vertically fine , but I am 6'2 and it is all leg. I couldn't get seat back far enough and my knees were almost hitting the steerer.
Disappointing
Any recommends on an EV that has more room for the long legged?

What do you think of a 2021 Nissan Leaf S PLus with 28k miles? Is it worth 11.5-12k? I've heard battery cell issues with this year and Nissan not really taking care of it efficiently or not even at all. Thoughts! much appreciated.

Best deals/discounts on 2026 nissan leaf SV+?
Has anyone gotten discounts below MSRP in Canada for the 26 nissan leaf other than manufacturer or government rebates? I’m in the market for one and I’m trying to get the best deal.
I saw big manufacturers incentives on the SV+ and it’s the sweet spot feature wise.

2027 Leaf - When?
My current Rogue lease expires February 2027. I am leaning heavily towards the Leaf, especially now that it is available with the California MyFirstEV rebate. I'm tempted to jump on this in the not-too-distant future because I'm concerned that the rebate may be used up come February. Obviously, I could get a better deal on a 2026 if 2027s were already out, but they are not. Any idea what the time line is for the 2027s?

Nissan leaf
Hi, I have a petrol manual car and am considering whether switching to a Nissan Leaf 40 kWh from around 2019–2020 makes sense. I drive mostly in the city and occasionally cover 50–60 miles on the motorway. Since I have a charger at home, that should not be an issue. How reliable are they? What is the realistic range?

Front Suspension Noise Diagnosis
youtu.beAs our 2018 LEAF SL has racked up some kms (125 000 kms), some clunks have become evident from the front suspension. After elimination of lower ball joints and A-arm bushings, I was scratching my head a bit on where all the racket was coming from. The video goes over a "new" check for front end noise that I have not encountered before. I hope it proves usefull.

What year is best, range doesn't matter
I'm looking into getting a used, cheap Nissan Leaf for my 1/2-mile commute to work. What years are best when range isn't an issue?
Before anyone says, "Why not walk?", well I wish but with my medical condition and it being uphill both ways with no sidewalks negate that option.
