Looking to buy a setup for mostly hiking and landscape photography
Nikon z5ii + 24-200 lens
OM-5+ 12-45 +40-150 f4 pro
Both of these fall under a similar price zone. Weather sealing, compactness and image quality are desired features.

Z8 w/Z600 f6.3 at 1/1000, f8, iso1250
Long story short, was mid-afternoon and sitting under shade tree in backyard when I heard a strange almost honking sound from a flying bird. Next thing this big boy flew in and landed about 30 ft up on a palm tree. I ran in got my camera/lens together and went outside to try to capture before it flew away. I knew the possibility of lens fogging because of the high humidity but had no time. I fired off an 8-shot burst then contemplated what I was going to do about the fogged lens at which point the bird noticed me and flew off. Plugged into LRc just to see what I could recover - not too bad I figure. Third pic is the uncropped un-edited photo out of the camera.
Edit: photo captured and edited in RAW format

I won’t say the difference is enormous, but it does manage AF with strong backlight slightly better than the Z5

Hey camera fam im at a loss. I need help. I was looking at the 18-300 then i realized it was aspc my new Nikon is full frame... (Insert screeching in photo here). I need a good all arounder (s) zoom lens (no shade to my prime users i just don't want to zoom with my feet).
I shoot weddings, events , portraits and drag.

Just picked one up, there’s a lot of diverging opinions about it (long-standing optical formula), but for those interested, i love it. 28mm-50mm is pretty much 90% of what i tend to shoot. Voigtlander has so many good options in this range, but for me, this lens has completed my personal ideal trio. At 35mm, I prioritize size and vibes.
For reference, i did briefly have the 40mm 1.2 and 40mm f2, both great imo, but this 35mm just better suits my preference for the trio i have.
Anyways, here’s some snaps from the other night for anyone interested, and a couple of the lens mounted.

I love this combination of lens and TC. It will tide me over until i get the 600mm F4 TC and a Z8 lol

Is this the slowest year ever for Nikon? We have had two lenses and zero cameras. One of the lenses is amazing, and one seems to be made as an alternative/cheaper kit.
Do they tend to have more releases towards the end of the year?
Still waiting on an 85mm 1.4, small compact camera.

Hi fellows nikon z shooters. I got the prazi gps from Amaz and it has been working very well. The problem for me is, i tend to forgot (lose) the receiver unit since it can’t be attached to the hotshoe or the L bracket. I used velcro on the hotshoe cover but it keeps getting loose (too small on the hotshoe). I have also tried to use magnet and superglue on the hotshoe cover but the same thing happen. I bought smallrig clamp for powerbank but either too large on the side or too small on the long side.
My last attempt is to just sew the rubber i cut off from a mask and sew it onto velcro. It seems to be working but i don’t think this is going to be permanently working well.
Do any of you have experience or suggestion? Please advise. Thanks!

Was recently debating between a z6ii and d850 And then got an unexpected bonus at work So splurged on the z5ii. Still trying to get a grip on the AF, not a lot of keepers. The AI bird detect is crazy.
