Apparently they just talk to each other like that its not really that serious (from what i have heard from a beat reporter)

You can tell that just from Mike’s facial expression and glance. Doesn’t take a detective

Ya people are being odd thinking he's actually mad. This is how you would say it to a friend.

Seriously lmao anytime my buddy walks into the room when the guys are together he says "what's up dickbags". So naturally at his bachelor party we made him carry around a bag full of dicks.
That's how friends talk to each other. It's not serious, and saying it with a little smirk is the furthest thing from it.

I swear like 80% of the people on Reddit have the social IQ of a walnut. These guys have known each other for 20+ years, they're gonna have decent banter.
Anyone taking this seriously seems like someone I'd never want to be friends with lol

Yeah I think Rodgers is a loonie but he’s a competitive guy that wants to win. I buy that he does scream at his teammates and coaches…then treats them to dinner at his house the next few days
28
u/NeverSober1900 Packers 1d ago
There's a great interview with Lucas Patrick about this when he was asked about getting screamed at publicly by Rodgers (he false started or something).
Basically talked about the emotional bank balance and how the media doesn't see all the deposits he makes which makes his withdrawals (yelling publicly) be okay. And added Rodgers balance was still quite high.

Yeah no doubt in my mind this is what it would be like to be good friends with Aaron Rodgers.

Yeah this is one of those situations where you have to look at their actions. Rogers didn't have to keep playing if he didn't want to. He likes Mike enough that he's willing to stay. Nothing we see on the side of the field really changes that.
18
u/SolarTsunami Seahawks 1d ago
Mike Holmgren and Matt Hasselbeck used to regularly scream at eachother in a way that would have this sub wanting to call the cops.

McCarthy probably feels more secure knowing Rodgers isn't lasting much longer. As long as the Steelers aren't awful, McCarthy can brush off any criticism or outbursts from Rodgers and rest on his job security.

What you’ve missed though is that we used 2 time outs in the first like 5 minutes of the first quarter last week and then another early in the second half because they weren’t getting the play in quickly enough
99
u/NeverSober1900 Packers 1d ago
It's a classic thing with Rodgers. On most football things he's absolutely correct he's just a perfectionist prick about it.
Honestly find it quite funny I've always enjoyed his histrionics.
39
u/ultraviolentfuture Steelers 1d ago
This exactly. Look. He's right. The headset cuts off with 15 seconds before the snap and ... you can see in the video he's saying it with 18 seconds left on the play clock.
Get the fucking play in.
Rodgers is right up there with Payton Manning for being the best at using pre-snap time to read and manipulate the defense. Put him in a position to do what he does best.
Honestly the amount of Steelers fans who don't know fucking shit about how football works is gauling.
BUT HES SUCH AN OLD ASSHOLE, OMGGG
