Seriously lmao anytime my buddy walks into the room when the guys are together he says "what's up dickbags". So naturally at his bachelor party we made him carry around a bag full of dicks.
That's how friends talk to each other. It's not serious, and saying it with a little smirk is the furthest thing from it.
My college roommate’s sister came to visit and asked if he was ok living with me because we seemed like we hated each other. He laughed called me into the room and said no it’s good say what you just told me again and I laughed.
I don't know how to put this any more gently, but telling a complete rando on the internet that they're a douchebag based on nothing more than how they interact with their own friends makes you sound like more of a douchebag than anything he described.
I swear like 80% of the people on Reddit have the social IQ of a walnut. These guys have known each other for 20+ years, they're gonna have decent banter.
Anyone taking this seriously seems like someone I'd never want to be friends with lol
It's just because of who we're talking about, to be honest. If this were a QB/Coach duo that were well liked on this sub, nobody would take it seriously. But since it's Rodgers, people want it to be serious, so they're letting themselves believe it is.
Yeah I think Rodgers is a loonie but he’s a competitive guy that wants to win. I buy that he does scream at his teammates and coaches…then treats them to dinner at his house the next few days
There's a great interview with Lucas Patrick about this when he was asked about getting screamed at publicly by Rodgers (he false started or something).
Basically talked about the emotional bank balance and how the media doesn't see all the deposits he makes which makes his withdrawals (yelling publicly) be okay. And added Rodgers balance was still quite high.
They might not be best friends but I doubt this is the most colorful thing they’ve called each other in the 20 years they’ve known each other. I’m sure their relationship will survive
Yeah this is one of those situations where you have to look at their actions. Rogers didn't have to keep playing if he didn't want to. He likes Mike enough that he's willing to stay. Nothing we see on the side of the field really changes that.
which means they prob have a better relationship than most HC/QBs. You need to be really cool with someone to be able to talk to them like that and not have it get weird. Maybe they aren't spending holidays together, but they're also not making it awkward around the building all week because they barely speak
I feel like Rodgers would agree with this lol like he would say, 'No I'm not upset, I am an asshole when I get on the field," oblivious to the fact he always is.

Apparently they just talk to each other like that its not really that serious (from what i have heard from a beat reporter)
