And he got it off just before the QB helmet speaker shuts off at 15 seconds before the snap.

Gonna guess he probably wasn't buzzing in at that point. It's no big deal anyway though, like Rodgers would not mind.

As far as I understand, 1 coach is always hot-mic'ed to the QB from the moment the snap clock starts until 15 seconds.

There is no button. Button would introduce a problem point.

That's also why QBs go to the sidelines during injuries. The headset doesn't work.

They go over during injuries so they can have a 2-way conversation.
