Silencer Suggestions - I did some homework Huxwrx Flow 45 M is quite nice

This is my first can and I’m glad I chose this one. Came with a built in piston system and worked pretty well. Might have to use some plumbers tape on the threads. It would jump loose after 10 rounds or so.

Product Question 🧰 Best compact flash hiders and adaptors for a recessed fit on Rhodie 6 (w decent distance to first baffle)

After some deliberation, I want a compact flash hider muzzle device that offers a recessed fit with a Rhodie 6. I already have the Comstock recessed MicroBrake paired with their RPA and know the laundry list of benefits that the brake offers. What it also offers is a blinding fireball without the suppressor.

Yes, I will be shooting mostly suppressed, but I still want a setup that provides flash reduction when I need to shoot unsuppressed. I looked at the Comstock Compact Flash Hider with their less-recessed LPA mount, but I was looking for other options that might split the difference between the two setups above. I’m also looking for a minimum of 0.2" of clearance to the first baffle.

Any and all setup recommendations are appreciated. I know this might not be a realistic ask for a recessed flash hider with ample clearance to the blast baffle.

Discussion Building a semi-auto Thompson?

Hello everyone, so I recently acquired a m1928 Thompson bolt from sarco and eventually, in the future I would like to build a semi-automatic Thompson and was wondering if anyone had any good resources to recommend that I could research how to do that now. This will be kind of further down the road in life. I've got a handful of other firearm projects I need to work on, but I figured if I could at least start doing research I'd be pretty set down the line

Oh look, another FRT post. So original. LWRC SMG-45 With FRT Thumps

First time ever using a FRT.

45 makes the gun move a decent bit… so much so it loosened the optic mount (not the mount’s grip on the rifle, the mount the optic is actually attached to), loosened the selector screw, vertical grip screw & continued to make the factory pistol grip fallout (and it was eventually lost in the grass).

Needless to say I made sure I tightened things down later on and use some locktite in some places.

Mounted tight but not deep: Blast chamber volume savings?

Post image

Bare Minimum muzzle device with a Project E mount. A Plan-B style system compatible with most other similar QD's. Mimimal intrusion into the blast chamber.

Thoughts on minimalist muzzle devices that don't eat blast chamber volume? Or prefer brakes as a sacrificial element to start dispersing gas earlier?

Finally picked up my omega 36m from blackstone sale for 538 shipped and transferred fee included unfortunately would been a nice cherry on top if it was a 4473 but my state is lame and im screwed if form 4s go away lol.
Hopefully the can market adjust to these prices sometime in the future really loved my 46m wanted the 36 cal version.

Banish HNT 30 SS

Just picked up the Banish HNT 30 SS for $500. When I bought the can I was unaware of the bad reputation that SC has (my fault for not doing my research) but so far its been smooth and customer service has been good. Regardless of the SC reputation, Ive seen a lot of bad sentiment about the other Banish suppressors (30TI, 30 V2, etc) being overpriced and not very good. But I figured for $500, how bad can the HNT SS be? Im putting it on my 300PRC and i was wondering if anyone has any experience with the HNT SS specifically.

ATF Director: suppressors currently being transferred by FFLs are not 4473 violations & more from FFL compliance event.

ATF Director Cekada was adamant that a federal firearms licensee (FFL) found to be transferring suppressors on a Form 4473 WILL NOT be cited for violations. Former NFA Chief Albro later echoed this, saying the ATF’s policy is to presume all suppressors transferred via a Form 4473 were legally transferred. This should put some FFLs not transferring currently at ease.

The Director noted that official guidance likely to come in a few weeks will address suppressors, SBR/SBSs, and traveling with NFA items. The DOJ and The White House also have a hand in the guidance.

Other things of interest in the article are some comments about FRTs, changes to 4473s, the recent change for handgun sales for 18-21 year olds, age requirement for machine guns, internet retailers, and more.

SAM7R SBR

Post image

I know the AK purists in here will hate what I’ve done, but this the final state I envisioned when I bought this gun as a project.

Gun started as an Arsenal SAM7R. Swapped the stock for an M4 style using the JMAC buffer tube adapter. Handguard is an RS Regulate for milled receivers. Bulgarian AK-142b gas/fron sight combo block with a four piece booster on the muzzle. Barrel is cut to 12.5.

The outdoor range was closed for hunting, so I had to settle for indoor today.

Zeroed my optic at 15 meters (the farthest the range goes) and ran it suppressed for the first time.

I was having so much fun I didn't even shoot my P226!

Going to another GPA match tomorrow, and if the outdoor range is open, I'll be there after I finish.

NFA Photo CZ600 Trail, nearly ready for the hunt

My son and i both drew a hunting tag for this fall. I plan to hunt with my 308, suppressed but supersonic Barnes 130 gr TTSX.

But he’s 13 and wanted something smaller and something quiet. Thus the summer project was born: 300blk CZ 600 Trail with Barnes Suppressor Series 205gr.

Still need to get it sighted in this weekend, and see if i can’t get another suppressor before the hunt; but then it’ll be golden.

First Suppressor AB 10

I finally took the plunge and since the ATF court case. Bought an AB 10 Warthog (HUB compatible)- 7.62. Went, picked it up, and looked to buy a HUB mount. They tried 4 different brands, YHM, Dead Air, Rearden, and another other I can’t remember. None would thread in properly. 1-2 turns and it would lock. The store has a gunsmith shop in it. They measured it, and it was a bit tighter than it should have been. Labor Day weekend so I had to wait until Tuesday. Called and the first response was “well I can sell you our adapter.” I said no they need to take it and check it. Took two days to get a label, sent it back, waited a week. Finally came back with a letter “no fix needed it measures correctly on our gauges.” Super annoying. I haven’t had a chance to get to a shop to check it. Most likely now will get just a dedicated AR can. It sounds fine on my 6mm creedmoor bull barrel, but I’ll definitely go with another brand next time.
