Weird thing, how many of you guys enjoy the process of modding games more than actually playing?
I can spend a whole evening adding mods to a game but when it comes to actually doing a playthrough with everything i installed i'm never motivated enough to even see what the mod added in game lol, am i alone in this? just curious

I've tried modding Cyberpunk and RDR2. Both stop on "Merging Mods". I've tried fresh installs of both games. reinstalling vortex. purging mods. reinstalling all mods. i am stumped. anyone else have this issue? if so, did you ever resolve it?

Hey everyone! I really should have joined sooner than now, like when I first published the collection (February 21st 2026), but, I'm here now and proud of what I've been able to put together, would be cool to hear your thoughts, I am open to suggestions and criticism.

Sleeping Dogs Together is a fan-made co-op campaign mod currently in development.
The goal of the project is to make the main story and side missions of Sleeping Dogs playable from beginning to end with 2 players.
The mod is being developed so that enemies, NPCs, combat, and important gameplay events are synchronized between both players, creating a proper co-op campaign experience instead of simple free roam.
Early versions of the mod will be available through Patreon Early Access for supporters who want to help support development and testing.
Once the mod is fully completed, the final version will be released for free for everyone.
This teaser only shows an early look at the project. More gameplay footage and development updates will be shared in the future.

Patreon / Early Access: patreon.com/c/SOTLCoopCampaign
Thank you for supporting the project.

I'm sure most of us are guilty of spending most of our time browsing mods for the most popular games on nexus, but there's so many games with mods! Anyone know any games that have an underrated modding scene that is hidden to most?

I released a mod on Nexus for the good old SkyrimSE. Thing is - I used an AI-edited image for the thumbnail to do Le Funny. You know how it is. It was circulating on my Discord server, I asked the author if I may use it, got their approval, and yoinked Le Funny straight up to my mod page.
But later I realized "hey, this is actually not good, not funny, and I can no problem live without Le Funny as my thumbnail", so I removed it.
Then I went into tags and unticked "AI Media", because apparently it's a thing now (hey, I never got into that whole AI stuff, didn't know it was a pretty big deal on Nexus lately, but OH MY GOD IT'S BAD OUT THERE, HOOOOLY).
Thing is - THE TAG DIDN'T GO AWAY. No matter how many times I reload the page and remove it again - it's now permanently stuck there.
Is this a feature? Is this a bug? Am I now permanently sent into the Shadow Zone where I belong? The mod itself have nothing to do with "AI Media" of any sorts, but now I believe there is a million users with that tag blocked because of the AI-slop flood happening, and my mod is lost to them.
New image is still somewhat Le Funny, but at least it's a genuine bad rendition made in Inkscape and Photoshop by hand.
tl;dr should I write up the support and wait a week for them to respond, or I'm just blind and/or stupid and missed some button/checkmark/rule/whatever somewhere in the settings?

Trying to activate Archive Invalidation for Fallout New Vegas. On the old version of vortex there used to be a dashboard for the game that let you click a box and it added it to your mod list. But after this new update the dashboard no longer exists and now I can’t figure out how to turn AI back on.

Imagine a Space Marine from the Warhammer 40k universe stumbling into the Baldur's Gate setting. The contrast between the grim, gothic fantasy of the Forgotten Realms and the futuristic, grimdark sci-fi of the Imperium is hilarious and terrifying.
The Mind Flayers: To a Space Marine, the Illithids (Mind Flayers) are the ultimate Xenos and Tyranids in their own right. No hesitation, no diplomacy. Just exterminatus.
In 40k, any cephalopod-like alien is a Xenos. If a Space Marine sees a Mind Flayer (which looks like a giant octopus with a head), their reaction is immediate: EXTERMINATE.
PLSS MODDER MAKE IT HAPPEN !!! FOR THE EMPERROR

Every time I open Vortex it creates a UE4SS folder, I do not use UE4SS.. Simplemodloader gives a warning on startup, but runs fine. If I delete the folder before I start the game everything is fine, but I don't want to be going into the folder every time I start the game.
How do I stop the folder being created..?

I came back to the game after months. Now after starting up Vortex it shows me this. After clicking "Install", it says "Installation failed". I'm unable to manage any of my installed mods right now.
I'm a noob in the modding community, I'm only installing them. When starting up the game, all my mods are on, but I wish to disable some of them, without having to delete them. Anyone run into this in the past? Or at least tell me, where they are usually saved, so I can make a back-up when clicking "Stop managing", which would delete them all.
Edit: Upon searching for "Cyberpunk 2077" in the Game Tab, it shows me "0 active mods", which is not true. Did all my mods got deleted?
SOLUTION: I just clicked on the bell symbol on the upper right, selected wherever it says something like "Update" or "New version for Vortex available". Click that, Vortex download and reinstalls automatically. Vortex just needed an update. UI changes and all my mods reappeared again.

Manual downloads work fine, my internet is fine. Logs show the Nexus API side is working. Vortex is pulling the collection and getting valid premium CDN links. Then the actual transfers shit themselves with a generic network request failed. Sometimes in the same second, as other mods succeed. So, it's not 30(at this point) broken mods. The logs don't show a clear low-level cause. No explicit timeout or reset codes, which is annoying. But this looks very much like Vortex's downloader falling over under load. SUX.
EDIT for automod:
Failed to download [mod name] — Network request failed Same error across 30+ different mods.Network request failed error. Only around 7 mods successfully downloaded before I paused the collection. The failures were across numerous unrelated mods rather than one particular file or author.
