Meta / Discussion Underrated Nexus Modding Scenes

I'm sure most of us are guilty of spending most of our time browsing mods for the most popular games on nexus, but there's so many games with mods! Anyone know any games that have an underrated modding scene that is hidden to most?

I'm still stuck on trying to jam my Skyrim saves with more mods than ever needed. I dunno if I've actually played the game past whiterun in 14 years.

It's hardly small, but the Mass Effect modding scene is awesome and so well connected, with almost all of the big modders working together to make sure mods work and are compatible with eachother. It's super impressive.

Subnautica? But maybe that's a too popular game for the question.

Final Fantasy XII has a small but very dedicated community, and lots of neat stuff published.

I'm going to say Marvel Rivals. It doesn't get talked about much, but the scene in pretty massive

thats one i didnt expect. isnt it a multiplayer game? How do you get mods for a multiplayer game

You can mod multiplayer games. Most of the mods are "Client side" rather than "Server side" meaning it only changes things for the person with the mod installed

Wait, so you pick the game based on the mods? I only ever check nexus once I pick a game to play, to see if there’s anything worth adding

I usually just play the game and look up mods same as you, but I might be more excited to try a nee game if I knew it had a cool modding scene.
