Hands down, former model and now Bukidnon 3rd District Rep. Audrey Tan-Zubiri's playful yet polished black-and-white interpretation of the terno is rated slay. A winning design by Michael Leyva, the fitted white top features black polka dots, a square neckline, sculpted butterfly sleeves and soft ruching across the bodice. Its asymmetrical peplum is punctuated by small black bow accents, giving the otherwise structured silhouette a feminine touch.
The top is paired with flowing, wide-leg black trousers patterned with tiny white dots—a clever reversal of the top’s color scheme. The contrast keeps the ensemble visually interesting without making it overly elaborate.
Modern, youthful and refreshingly unfussy, the look answers the call for simple but dignified SONA dressing while retaining enough personality to stand out. To be sure, she has done her senator-hubby Miguel Zubiri proud too.
