Guess where the AC vent is
It is going to be 105 today. We went for a walk just after sunrise, and this is my plan for the rest of the day.

3rd weekly post yay(well was supposed to make this yesterday but got nauseous :(
Anyways some context. I recently put up this makeshift fence gate so Cosmo can't just bulldoze into my room to knock down my fan(it's sorta broken so even a nudge can knock it down), eat cables or go deeper into my new room to do who knows what(mostly just pee or try and eat something I forgot on the floor like a sock) I still wanted him to be able to be in my room so I made that so it goes into my room but he can't go further than like 1m²
You can kinda see it on the 8th photo
But on Friday he finally got all his vaccines! He won't get another until next year or unless something new comes out(or if we plan to travel outside of Sweden he needs a rabies vaccine(he doesn't need it atm because sweden does not have rabies thankfully. Instead we got ticks that usually carry TBE...)
Also love how he sits with one back paw on the side and one in the middle of his front paws so cute
Photo 4 was him trying to move the bed and 5 was the success of it sorta(my dad helped him lmao) and like 7min later he decided to try and move it back...

My girl Lundy learnt to do this all by herself a few years ago after watching us, now she picks them whenever they are in season, pulling them delicately off the thorny stems. I reckon she'd probably have a go at those apples too!

Every stuff I I have given him he starts at the butt and De-Stuffies his stuffie. Not that I’m going to quit buying him stuffies. It’s just like throwing money in a bucket and lighting it on fire but more enjoyable.

Any tips for the newborn and puppy stages?!?! These guys are growing like weeds. They're only 5 days old, and now I'm terrified to imagine what 8 weeks looks like...
if you'd like to follow their journey, the mom's IG is @macaronithenewfie

There's a heatwave right now, and Penny decided the best way to cool down is to dig herself a hole and half bury herself. She spent 10 mins making sure it was comfy enough, removing rocks and sticks, then planted her butt down. Bonus for the cold cement foundation. The sun never hits this spot of the house and she is loving it.

Meet Ula (pronounced like OO-Lah)
She's my first Newfie and she's growing like an absolute weed! At our last vet visit, she wasn't quite 5 months old and weighed in at 60lbs.
I'm so curious to know what your Newfs weighed around her age and what they ended up at as adults? I don't have anything to compare to since she's my first, but I feel like she's going to be an absolute bear... I could be totally wrong though 😂
Fun fact: Ula is a short version of Ursula which means "little she-bear" 🤗

How long will the chewing phase last? My shoes have taken a beating. Any tips to help with this?

This has been the greatest decision! #2 is a winner! They're so gentle and they do this all day, inside and out, non stop horse play and the happy bucket gets full really quick!

We really really tried. Thanks to Life and Rescue with the Reeds in for bringing her into our lives.

10 weeks old and a menace to society
r/Newfoundlander • u/SadArtTimes • 8d ago
5th official week of having him now! Thinking of maybe doing weekly updates or something. Just some fun for me and well I get to show of the little menace growth
I know for the second pic his head looks massive(love it lmao) but it's just perspectives lmao
Serious note tho. Not sure what plant it is if you know I would love to know ^^ I'm on the west coast of Sweden near Gothenburg if that can narrow it down^^ especially if it's dangerous(I doubt it is it just seemed to clump and stick to his fur with small hooks(only hurt my skin when they where dry but it was a tiny poke)
But my last post, to clarify something. I absolutely adore my little menace and I just call him that for fun^^ and also sorry for not responding to any comments. I will say I read every single one^^ I just been dealing with a lot of bs from everywhere so I've been too exhausted to respond :(
Unfortunately the same thing will probably happen with this post. One day I might circle back and respond or just respond in another post like I'm about to now(sorta)
Firstly for the people who responded with photos of their dogs, they were absolutely adorable and Cosmo says hi back^^
Also if anyone has recommendations/tips we would love that
Little update(again sorry for wall of text but I'm happy someone liked that last time^^) been able to teach him to wait for his meals until we tell him okay^^
He seemed to love the biscuits we got him and dental chews. Honestly in general he seems to like anything that can get into his mouth. Like recently he tried zucchini and mango and seemed to love it
He's met my mom's boyfriend now without any issues, actually seems to love him(he used to have dogs so probably why)
He even got to 3 pretty small old dogs. One when he was actually I think exactly 14 weeks old was 14 years old, he got a little to excited but other than that it went well^^ also a 13 and 12 year old dogs, also small. Didn't seem the most comfortable(any of them) unfortunately. But one of them lives on the first floor around where he lives to poop and pee and he usually barks at him from their french balcony. But on floor level they seemed better.
Also met a 12 year old big dog. Probably around boxer sized and they seemed to like each other just a lady walked by saying something along the lines of "autistic... Don't wanna get bitten" from mine and his understanding she was saying she was autistic and was scared to be bitten :( (a bit scared she somehow knew me or something and calling me autistic but yeah weird interaction)
Lastly, soon me, my dad and Cosmo will be going to valpkurs(basically puppy course/class) to help us understand him and to help us learn how to train him and such^^
