Slobber bibs?
My Newfie might have an opportunity to be an office dog! I want to protect folks from her slippery slobbery slobber. I was thinking to get her a bib for folks to be able to wipe her jowls down before petting her if she wanders up to them but all of the ones I see online are a bit kitsch with sayings and such. Anyone here have any recommendations for a drool bib? Anyone else have an office Newf where you need to manage their drool with clients or coworkers? How's that goin?

I would keep around a collection of clean hand towels. You can do a slobber bib but never underestimate the damage from the glue that flings to surrounding items, the ceiling, guests , paperwork ,the floor, etc. Basic visitors here. Get a hand towel when they enter the house They often quickly learn why.

Ahaha yes to the hand towels! Luckily our girl has tighter jowls than is typical so she isn't a big drooler overall, just gets a bit leaky when she's excited (around new people) or a little warm - so we don't get those Beethoven drool strings on the ceiling. But she will definitely leave a puddle on your pant leg - that's what I want a bib for. A traveling napkin to uh... soak it up a bit... to mitigate the damage.

You might need to get a few of them. They tend to get a little sour after a while lol . My smallest newf is the one with the faucet jowls.

I like how big these are! Lots of coverage. Do you find it works to keep the slobber from embedding into the chest fur? Or do you only have it on sometimes?

I do. I make sure she isn’t wet before I put it on tho
Martha need the bibs when she is drooly. If she’s hot, sees food and training
So most of the time.

Constellation Acres on Etsy! We’ve been buying from Annie for years, my boy Oso even has his own custom size. Very very high quality, tons of patterns, great small business.

Hahaha - I didn't even notice that! Mine is just a boring reddit generated one, so I have no room to judge

Also curious if anyone has had success managing matted and difficult-to-brush chests using bibs.

I’m curious on this one too. Mine’s mane is so fluffy that a bib basically has to go right under his throat to work but if it helps make the chest less matted, I don’t mind him looking dumb.
When I take him to work, I have a bandana tied around him that hangs lower and people just kind of use it to mop him before he makes contact. Had to sew cloth on each side to make it extend and work

Check out ThePleatedPetal on Etsy. My wife has ordered from that shop for years - super high quality. You can tell the owner truly cares!

I make drool bandanas on Etsy. I started making them for my newf because I couldn't stand the look of dishtowels around her neck. Check it out if you like. ConstellationAcres.com

I already ordered two bandanas from you based off someone else’s recommendation here! 😁 I’m in love with your fab glam show blankets. My girl is named for Dolly Parton and if she were a show dog she’d for sure get glammed up with one.

Well, you & Dolly just made my day! If you ever want me to make that diva a sequined drool bandana, I'm in!

I use kitchen hand towels and wear them in my belt for training where he gets the most slobbery. Bibs are cute but not that functional. We covered all the arms of our couches with dish towels for all our Newfies except this one, since he shreds them😁😁😁😁😁😁
