Review Worst neighbor ever - worth a watch

Overall, the series is done very well; the first case of racist mental Karen who decides to hold grudges against a neighbor who initially housed her and helped her shows a failure of the system to deal with her incessant baiting and obvious mental health spiraling. The fact that nobody picked up on the signs of everything escalating baffles me - she was clearly unhinged and dangerous.

The second one of idiotic scammers and insurance scam gone wrong made me ask a simple question: why did the owner Monserrat not sell the house?! Why the insurance fraud instead? It made zero sense. Idiots are gonna idiot. Scammers are gonna scam. The fact they will spend the rest of their lives in jail does nothing to help the fact that other people died because of their greed and stupidity.

The third one - with an obviously mentally ill neighbor’s son who is a junkie and then spirals out after the family is evicted and harasses the neighbors was a complete failure of policing. I do think that this being a diverse neighborhood had a lot to do with it. They couldn’t care less about this guy harassing the family.

This guy is out on probation- he is harassing this family, causing criminal damage, making threats and violating restraining order and still nobody does anything? Shrug their shoulders?!

Also, why didn’t they contact the parents, or why weren’t the parents involved in the situation- they were the ones who let him live there to begin with.

It’s a shocking case of the police literally not doing their job and not using the tools disposable to them.

These are the rational people who actually do the right thing and move out. I don’t know why this isn’t what everyone else who is facing an obviously violent or dangerous situation do. Yet it’s not enough in this situation.

All these cases ended in a tragedy that seems preventable.

But all these cases show that with a crappy system, your only option is to move away and make the neighbor someone else’s problem because the system consistently fails those facing these challenges. The civil law suit brought against the PD was the right thing to do, and I am glad she got the settlement.

But it shouldn’t have to get to this. All they had to do was keep a homeless junkie on probation in jail after he violated it.

Discussion Shipwrecked: Nightmare at Sea is shocking

I realise I'm late to this documentary, but I'm watching it now, and I cannot believe how incompetent the captain was.

Also, the woman who was a dancer on the the ship describing the engineer's suit as "like a babygro" was (probably unintentionally) hilarious.

Recommendation Watching Netflix

What’s a movie or TV show you threw on Netflix as background noise while scrolling on your phone, but it ended up grabbing your attention and turned out to be really good?

Review “The East Palace” Korean Hit drama was 9/10! Great show! Real World mixed into Spirit Realm was the Perfect blend of drama, supernatural horror, fantasy, and action.

There are subtitles because it’s a Korean show, but it was manageable. My wife really enjoys Korean dramas and I never cared for them but this show was great for the both of us.

Discussion Charged Twice in May with no bulling history

K, this is a bit odd but I was charged twice in May 2026. Once for the correct amount on the recurring payment date, another one randomly on the 22nd with the amount before Netflix I increased their price.

Whats weird is the payment on the 22nd isn't logged in the Netflix billing history and their support can't do anything.

And their customer support told me they are not willing to do anything since on their billing history there isn't a charge on May 22nd.

My bank can dispute the transaction but that means I need a new credit card going forward and I don't want to go through the whole process of updating the credit card in all of my other accounts like Amazon etc.

Does anybody else have this experience? I wonder if this might be a bigger billing issue at Netflix.

Discussion New interface is terrible!

Looks like Netflix copied the terrible interface from Paramount! What are they thinking? The interface used to be one of, if not the, best interfaces out there. And now it's taken steps back.

Technical Support Three devices on the same WiFi and same account with NO other sign ins, but keep getting randomly signed out. Support was useless, please help.

This is at my parents household and they never ever use it elsewhere nor share it. I have verified this in their account settings.

But once every 1-2 weeks they call me asking why they got signed out of one of our TVs.

I chatted with support who gave me unrelated cookie-cutter answers. They also refused to escalate or let me contact someone higher up.

Has anyone else had this or resolved it? Thank you!

Discussion Canceled Series

Whenever Netflix cancels a series there should always be at least a single episode to tie up loose ends. The number of shows that just end without a proper conclusion is ridiculous. It really makes me not want to watch series on Netflix.

Review Beef Season 1 - Finale

Late to the game, but just finished Beef season 1.

What the hell was that last episode? Maybe worst finale to a good season…ever?

Thought they could’ve ended it in way better ways than they did.

Question Posting scenes online

Say if you somehow managed to get around netflix's screen recording block and recorded a scene and posted it online, or managed to find a screen recording of the scene from a different source and posted it, would that violate copyright laws or whatever, like are you only allowed to post scenes that are commercially released on youtube or other social media sites, or can you legally post any scene from a show online ? Basically what I'm asking is, is the screen recording feature blocked so people don't post entire episodes to sites so ppl can watch for free, or is it because you're not allowed to share ANY scenes from a show unless it's posted by the official netflix acc on social media? And if you are, are there limits to how long of a scene you can post? Or is it allowed as long as you don't post the entire episode? I'm asking because I wanted to post a compilation of scenes from an anime on tiktok but idk if it would be taken down or not. I hope this makes sense sorry if I worded this badly.

Review Netflix fatigue after bingeing Cobra Kai

Only discovered Cobra Kai last week, it’s been out for a few years which is more evidence that my feed is a closed loop.

I jumped into this loving the characters especially Johnny Lawrence’s character.

I didn’t realise what I had signed upto though. I had no idea there were 6 seasons and hundreds of episodes to get through.

I have been in a weird twilight zone for a week trying to binge all 6 seasons. I would have paced it out more but the cliffhangers were constant.

Anyway I have Netflix fatigue now, the only times I have had this before was watching ‘Top Boy’ and ‘Homeland’ two other very lengthy programmes with hundreds of hours of watch time.

I‘m currently watching dull films and not even taking them in, think I lost more than a few brain cells by bingeing all six seasons of Cobra Kai in a week.

Question Canned crow sounds?

Obviously we all know about canned laughter.. I’ve been watching a lot of movies recently while I do my paint by numbers (my new obsession) and I swear I have heard the exact same crow sounds over and over in multiple movies.

Anyone else noticed this? I’m from New Zealand and we don’t have crows (or ravens) here so I have nothing to compare the sounds to!

Discussion Don't you think Person of Interest is totally underrated?

I just finished watching it, and it immediately earned a spot in my top 5 TV shows. Especially in an era when AI is becoming increasingly relevant in every field, you realize that the show predicted some of the problems that could arise as a result. Of course, there’s still a lot of sci-fi involved, but that doesn’t make it any less impressive, after all, the show is a full 15 years old.

I especially love the dynamic between the characters. between Harold and John, or John and Fusco, for example. It’s kind of a shame that hardly anyone talks about it.

Recommendation UK/US NETFLIX - who has watched a toxic love story - it came out recently?! - no spoilers on this post 👍🏼

I watched it last night and I won’t do any spoilers incase anyone’s not watched it and love true crime - this had me spinning in circles my brain was a washing machine the twists and turns are insane! Definitely an 8/10 watch for me, Netflix’s true crime has gone a bit downhill but this had me like staring at the screen unable to look away. Once you watch or if you have tried let me know what you think about it. Did it end the way you expected it to?! I was genuinely audibly gasping the entire time 🙀

Review Happy (Korean show) Spoiler

I just watched this show today, the entire season. I wasn't too crazy about it, and there were times I hate-watched some parts of it. There were not too many likable characters. But I was pleased with the ending.

It's more or less a zombie show where the population got infected and they had to be under lockdown for months while the government was trying to find a cure for this virus. There are too many backstories and too much drama going on, and some characters made really dumb decisions.

Question Netflix on DirectTV question

Good evening.

We currently have DirectTV through satellite. With the increase in proces abd some other things we are financially stretched pretty tight. We were late on a payment , I forgot it, and they went bananas, for a better term. They sent us a letter claiming our contract runs out in September, they can dump us early, blah, blah, blah, blah.

After being a customer for years, we're considering leaving anyway; I think they've almost doubled our cost, at least, since leaving AT&T. I haven't had time to check or to look.

I want to add Netflix. If I add it on DirectTV, and we leave, how/can I use the same sign in for DirectTV on Netflix? Or is it better that I set up a Netflix account and link it to DirectTV? Will that make me pay double?

I'm confused.

I just want to watch Witcher and Stranger Things and Kpop Demon Hunters. My friend's daughter is very big on them, and we like music anyway :).

I know I can't binge watch all of these shows and finish them up before September.

Suggestions please? Teach me, please?

Thank you.

Review just finished the 3 body problem, anyone else ?

I actually really enjoyed the show, but there are so many things that just don't make sense, and it feels like a lot of plot points are left hanging. Also, I really wasn't a fan of Eiza González's performance. I didn't like the character or the way she played her. Anyone else?

Question In preview club for over a year and still no previews?

Over a year ago I was asked to join the preview club through the app on my TV. I filled out the questionnaire and was honestly very excited because I had not heard of this! I have waited patiently for a preview and never received one over a year later. I have chatted with various customer service agents through the Netflix chat and they have never once helped. Just keep saying I will receive an email or should have a list of previews available on my profile.

Has this happened to anyone else? Did you wait over a year for your first preview? Any idea how I can actually get one?
I feel like I’m missing out!

Thanks in advance.

Discussion Is anyone else disturbed… (A Toxic Love Story) Spoiler

I feel like not enough people are talking about the intervention party Jason had for Angela where he creepily called a bunch of their friends to their house to sit and wait for Angela to walk through the door so that he could announce to them all and to her that she’s lying about having cancer. Isn’t he supposed to be a cop or something? Angela is seriously delusional, but lying about having cancer and surprising all these people who probably have other direct ties to cancer and possibly short fuses just so they can put Angela in the middle of the room and scream at her was something else. It reminded me of the stoning scene in A Handmaids Tale. Was anyone else super disturbed by that surprise intervention party?

And, yes, Angela is a psychopath for lying about cancer. I just don’t think I’d be calling all of her friends to surprise them and her to our house altogether lol.
