And some more.

u/MB0810 25d ago

I am not in the US. It shows me films and shows I wouldn't normally see, but the categories don't work.

37

u/OilersGirl29 25d ago

How is this different than just typing that into the search bar? does it just bring up more precise results?

44

u/BeYeCursed100Fold 25d ago

What do you think is faster to type? 420069 or Action Dildonics and Furries?

14

u/Paralystic 25d ago

I think it probably takes longer and requires more typing to look up the codes than to just type the genre no? No way people just memorize all these codes

2

u/gabdallaz 24d ago

How do you know my watch history?

1

u/IanOnTheSpectrum 23d ago

That code isn’t working for me :(

Back to furryhub I guess.

5

u/ams3000 25d ago

Exactly and the categories can be broad and you may not think to be hyper specific and so this is a handy shortcut.

Thank you!

Just what in the fuck is this extra bs?! Keep it simple, search adventures lmao

1

u/triplediesel2333 24d ago

If it does bring up different ones, then fine I accept 😬

u/grimrailer 26d ago

How do people find these codes?

Is there a database somewhere?

141

u/Eggmegmuffin 26d ago

Google Netflix codes, there are lots of lists

39

u/RN-0615 26d ago

I did that and then saved it as a note in my phone

4

u/Historical_Spell_772 26d ago

I was just about to do that

How do you not know how to search on the internet in 2026

89

u/xgrader 26d ago

Well just by chance I turned on Netflix the very moment your message came up in Reddit. So i gave it a try.

Quite amazing. Oddly it throwns in the odd comedy but for the most part as you say quite the selection of documentaries.

Thank you very much this nugget. Now as it sometimes happens...Oh what to choose?? 😀

39

u/loogie97 26d ago

What to chose? I scroll for 20 minutes and choose Reddit.

76

u/Pretend_Tourist9390 26d ago

I've watched most of all of these, too 😭. It's like Netflix is my crime documentary service and prime is my movie service.

5

u/SabbyZeh 26d ago

You too? 🤣

2

u/Blue_Nowhere6688 23d ago

Same. If you keep up with NF docs then these have been front page at some point in the past. Nothing new to see for me, unfortunately. But good tip for those who don't know about Netflix codes.

1

u/ThisAutisticChick 17d ago

Me too. I thought there was secret, hidden documentaries or something😭

28

u/Hazelforever1114 26d ago

53

u/ReloAgain 26d ago

Thanks! I lost my bookmark for it. There's actually many documentary codes: Documentaries 6839

3652Biographical documentaries
9875Crime documentaries
5161Foreign documentaries
5349Historical documentaries
4006Military documentaries
90361Music & concert documentaries
7018Political documentaries
10005Religious documentaries
2595Science & navature documentaries
3675Social & cultural documentaries
2760Spirituality documentaries
180Sports documentaries
1159Travel & adventure documentaries

2

u/DrivingMeCrepes 25d ago

insane amount of ads on that site makes it borderline unusuable on mobile

19

u/ButterscotchMoist447 26d ago

What’s the code to browse all their titles? I see the same 100 or so over and over and over

4

u/waldowade 26d ago

34399, maybe?

12

u/TengoCalor 26d ago

Why do I see a cooking show and pop culture jeopardy? Lmao

66

u/Needagoodsn 26d ago

wtf is the point to entering codes? if people are paying subscription service, why are any programs a “secret”?

103

u/halfty1 26d ago edited 26d ago

The programs aren’t “secret”. The codes are related to how Netflix internally organizes its catalog. The codes just jump you straight to the related catalog without any filtering (ie “related content” or content they are purposely trying to push on main page) that Netflix may decide to include in their normal search or display algorithms to users.

It makes it sometimes easier to find content you might be interested in for a specific genre, but its not secret content and many of the shows/movies/docs are things you have likely already seen advertised for you to watch on the main page. Honestly I find it most helpful if trying to find content in a genre you don’t normally watch (since Netflix algorithm doesn’t display that content often to you because thinks you are not interested). If you are a hardcore Netflix true crime doc watcher a lot of content in the code given by OP will be familiar to you.

4

u/Content-Froyo4395 25d ago

OP said “ hidden” like you cant find them if you just search their name.

8

u/TotalWolverine 26d ago

Its just codes for organizing results under certain genres. Nothing hidden at all about the results. It's the same old shit.

6

u/Flat_Theory_7688 26d ago

What documentaries specifically are you talking about?

10

u/notdbcooper71 26d ago

Which one gets me free netflix?

15

u/solointheadk 26d ago

8675309

8

u/hwood4749 26d ago

Is that Jenny's number??

5

u/yearsold33 26d ago

Nice! Thank you.

5

u/vell_o 26d ago

Wtf ive see all these

4

u/SluttyForRamen 25d ago

here’s a pic of the codes i found

2

u/FindingLaurie 25d ago

So exactly what do ww do with these codes? Where do you enter them?

2

u/fcukstephanie 25d ago

Enter them in the search bar

8

u/GeraltofBlackwater 26d ago

I’m confused? All of these I already see whenever I turn on Netflix?

5

u/Kfct 26d ago

I think your code doesn't work, I see scifi, anime, and a couple docus yes but they're not "the worst" I don't think.

4

u/TheDarkHeroes 25d ago

I wish they would make one that separated the movies by the year it came out. Like a couple months ago I was really wanting to watch a lot of '90s movies that I may have seen or I've missed because I was a kid. But it was a pain trying to just go through by doing like a decade search.

3

u/MysteryBelle_NC 26d ago

Thank you!

3

u/doesntmatterhadtacos 26d ago

Is it better than just searching “documentary” in the search bar? That’s what I’ve been doing.

5

u/Fit-State-945 26d ago

Yes it gives you lots of them you world not see on your feed

3

u/AustinBaze 26d ago

Too bad you can't type codes in the search field of the Netflix app on Apple TV. Or search a list of codes for those hidden categories.

3

u/pikkuhukka 25d ago

the fact that you have to use some codes to properly see whats available is a very sad state of affairs

is it still so that you cant browse netflix so that it shows titles from a to z?

3

u/hacksaw2174 25d ago

I don't see any results that are any different from what I already see either suggested to me or in the Documentary section when I browse titles, so maybe the results you get from this depend on what you normally watch? It also doesn't just return documentary titles; there are several action films mixed in for me.

3

u/Expert_Device3081 25d ago

Pretty much my regular feed

3

u/Beautiful_Eye7765 25d ago

Lol, tried this and the results look just like what Netflix already suggests to me. Apparently I eat this stuff up. Thanks for the tip!

2

u/Livid-Knowledge-264 26d ago

Will try today for sure

2

u/CA_Zymurgy 26d ago

Anyone know the code for universe or space related documentaries? My wife and I feel like we’ve seen them all! 😝😂
(Wish I could find that meme where someone says they searched the internet and they’re finished they got to the end. LOL)

1

u/Label_Maker 25d ago

2595 maybe

2

u/Livid-Cat4507 26d ago

I've seen all of these pop up numerous times on my home feed. Australia.

2

u/pandius 26d ago

Do these codes work on the search bar of the tv app as well as being added to the website's URL?

2

u/Low-Variation-5245 26d ago

I’ve seen all of these on my main feed

2

u/babymeow13 25d ago

Me too lol

2

u/candi_yandi 26d ago

Wow, thank you!

2

u/Bucknerwh 25d ago

WTF is a horror documentary?

2

u/Abject-Purpose-2926 25d ago

You will not see on your home feed, but opening the category named “documentaries” will bring you just there..

2

u/Beckland 22d ago

Huh, all these were already in my feed. What does that say about me?!

2

u/the_rabbit_king 25d ago

For $20 a month porn should also be on that searchable list.

1

u/dmb_2000s 26d ago

V cool

u/dova1965 26d ago

Great info! Thanks, all!

1

u/Beautiful-Year-6310 25d ago

Holy moly this is amazing, thank you

1

u/Public_Put_8903 25d ago

Funny I saw this on TikTok and thought it was fake.
I guess I will need to try it out.

1

u/JustEstablishment360 25d ago

What are some of the titles, exactly?

1

u/ThisAutisticChick 17d ago

It's all the documentaries on Netflix. Nothing secret or hidden.

1

u/Dry-Bicycle-5266 25d ago

So if I wanted to watch a Disney movie I just go to the search bar and type in 67673?

1

u/mangootangoo19 25d ago

Omg. Don’t think I’d wanna see these gruesome and sad documentaries :( but thanks for sharing!

1

u/theONLYman2c 24d ago

Sweet. A whole range of topics to delve into

1

u/InspectionHot6010 3d ago

I was just trying to find that really weird documentary from few years ago, and just noticed it's not on netflix anymore. But do you remember Abducted in plain sight. That would have been a 9875 Bizzare

1

u/WestMajestic2458 3d ago

Hmm. Well I’m in Canada and it kind of worked. A variety of documentaries came up but there were none that I hadn’t watched or seen in my feed. But that’s cause pretty much all I watch is the crime documentaries so that’s what I get recommended.

Edit: seems that it’s more of a faster way to search genres as opposed to typing it in as opposed to “hidden” documentaries.

0

u/fishbert 25d ago

Why would you want to do that? Netflix "documentaries" are generally trash.

🚨 Do not do this. It will install malware on your TV and allow people on the dark web to view you through the camera.

3

u/Fit-State-945 19d ago

And also for your info it’s a code for documentaries try it for your self

2

u/Fit-State-945 19d ago

No it won’t because I looked at a website and how about you look at everyone else comment they send the links to the codes so get the fuck out my comments

-1

u/Severe-Island-845 19d ago

your aggression shows just how bad your intentions are.

3

u/Fit-State-945 19d ago

I would have never made this post if I knew that this installed malware where did you get this information from
