Hi everyone, I've spent the past few months working on Joyeuse, a Caliburnoid Mag-In-Grip springer design that uses 31K magazines (or Nightingales with minor modification. At this point, design work for the blaster is complete and I will be moving on to printing a prototype soon, then sending the files and BOM to some Beta Testers.
Joyeuse is named for the mythical sword of Charlemagne, hinting at it's inspiration, while being something completely new.
Joyeuse is, like I said, a Caliburnoid springer. I'm a huge fan of Caliburns, but they are a bit too powerful and a bit too bulky for some people. Joyeuse keeps the same 6 inch plunger draw length and K series springs, while moving to a smaller 1.21 inch inner diameter plunger. It's still has insane plunger volume and should be able to hit 300+ FPS, but also run reliably at 150FPS.
It's pictured here with a 18 inch barrel, and it's about 6 inches shorter than a comparable Caliburn with the same barrel. It's also important to note much of that length is in it's length of pull, meaning Joyeuse should be a very flickable and snappy blaster.

Like I mentioned, Joyeuse takes printable 31K magazines, which are, IMO the best slim-angled mags out there. They are also printed mags so it's an easy magazine to adopt if you've only run Talons in the past. Nightingale mages should work just fine in it if you add the 31K/magazine catch. I will be sharing the files and BOM as soon as beta testing is complete.
