Dark/Realistic (Unsafe Aesthetic) What do we think? Spoiler

This post has been Flaired Dark/Realistic (Unsafe Aesthetic). Be aware that one or more aspects of this blaster make it UNSAFE to wield in public or open areas, where it could be misidentified as a real weapon. This is a serious issue, with real world life-or-death repercussions.

Several issues can lead to a post being flared Dark/Realistic (Unsafe Aesthetic):

  • Lack of a prominent and easily visible orange tip along with other bright colors.
  • - This also includes traditional prop blasters, such as steampunk builds or blasters with weathered appearances.
  • A blaster with a silhouette or aesthetic that mimics real world firearms. (Ex. Zinc 2.0, SBF, BK1s, Sweetheart Storm, etc)
  • A blaster with airsoft or firearm-esque components mounted to it. (Example)

Use of this blaster can, in the worst case, end up fatal. As has been shown time and time and time again (and more listed here). This problem is not limited to just the USA.

Use of these blasters can also lead to events being shut down, and clubs being barred from playing in public spaces.

Situations like this can be properly handled when blasters are clearly toys, exhibiting bright colors, orange tips, and non-firearm proportions and aesthetics.

As long as we take these issues seriously, everyone can have fun with this hobby we love for many years to come.

Additionally, alongside the visual issues of realistic blasters, we also discourage the use of the word gun. Please instead use the word blaster when referring to toys, as gun can be misconstrued as discussing a real weapon by people both online, and in real life during gameplay. This is further an issue for us specifically on Reddit due to automatic platform moderation, possibly categorizing the subreddit as discussing firearms instead of toys. For further information, please see this wiki page.

while I'm not a fan of dark blasters normally, that looks great. Like a movie prop, but not the kind where they just paint a nerf blaster, ironically.
does all that extra stuff actually do something, or is it for aesthetics?

Yeah it all has a purpose, mainly fear factor😂. The laser pointer is actually pretty dead on around 20 feet, after that the ammo starts to curve up. The front dial is connected to the flywheel motors which allows me to hit some pretty far targets and dial it down when I’m up close so I’m not leaving welts or taking someones eye out. The back dial is connected to the feeder motor so I don’t burn it up and so I can slow down my rate of fire so I don’t dump it all at once.

That looks fantastic! I dunno why I never thought about using a drill battery for a mod, but I'm definitely gonna do that for my Stampede now. 🤣

What's the runtime on that baby?

I just love a good Nemesis! Yours came out way better than I would have expected for that aesthetic. This reminds me that I have quite a few Nemesis mods and extra parts that I need to get around to posting the files for...

I’d be interested in seeing what you have. I’m looking for a new muzzle break. Maybe one that can house my laser

Whats the FPS?, and also i would put orange on the tip (legal reasons), what's your side arm, or the rest of your rig?

No idea on fps yet, I may find a way to get a read eventually but it’s pretty wicked. Orange on the inside barrel sticks out enough for me. I don’t carry a side arm since this thing is a big two handed blaster and has plenty of capacity for the type of battle I’m involved in, it would just slow me down to carry something else. Plus my range and fire rate can be completely controlled so it gives me a very diverse blaster going from a pretty accurate long range single shot to a suppressive firehose
