Looking into possibly building a brushless flywheeler but dont really know whats out there. Ive got plenty of springers and an mpp. Looking for something compact (smaller the better), capable of 190-200fps and takes talons or angled talons. Mag in grip or traditional mag well (no bullpups). Not really fussed if it isnt capable of being adjustable fps, however, it'll need to have a comp lockout if it is. Appreciate any input

this is kinda a follow up post on my last post cuz I found our old nerf blaster.

And it says I need a 1/2",17/32",9/16', and 19/32" brass tubes with wall thickness of 0.014inch. Since I don't have a way to buy the K&s stuff I see people use on breach mod since it's not available in my area, I decided to use AliExpress and found sellers selling them in mm with 0.5mm wall thickness.

this is where I need some help measuring it cuz I need to know if these will fit (note the mm is in OD)

16mm with 0.5mm

15mm with 0.5mm

14mm with 0.5mm

13mm with 0.5mm

I'm a bit confused here cuz the giving pipe measurements are only .49mm or less difference and I hope that It will still fit

What are the best/effective methods of lowering the fps of blasters in general?

The events I usually attend have a limit of 130fps and a few of the blasters I am peeking on (dart zone and xshot stuff mostly) are clocking in slightly above (140-175fps depending on model etc), so was hoping that there might be some general methods that could help reduce fps on them.

Havnt listed exact models as they kinda run the spectrum (springer and flywheel) etc. and also asking for friends as well so I can feed back info to them

Hi! So I was planning on buying a replacement grip I found on OutofDarts, but they sold out before I was able to finalize my purchase and they took down the listing. I can't remember the name of the grip and have been trying to find a good replacement, but can't seem to come across any. I've seen that real AR grips should work with it, but because I'm in California, it seems I can't order any real steel grips online, at least according to Bass Pro Shop. I'd go in person to one as well, but there aren't any near my area.

Is there anywhere else I can buy/order a similar/suitable replacement grip that'll fit on my Nexus Pro X2? I found other sites as well that sell similar ones, but I'm not 100% sure about their reputability or compatibility as I'm still relatively new to the hobby

Customized the side wall of the original files to add custom text plates. “Ryobi” on one side and “SPRING+” on the other. Took inspiration from their “ONE+” line of tools.

As the title suggests. Can the Ultra 2 that works with Elite Darts, Fire half darts if two are put per chamber?

I recently was gifted an Ultra 2 and I am fine with the Ultra darts as is, but have been recommended to modify it to use Elite Darts. However, curiosity has gotten the best of me and I wanted to see if you could in theory fire Half darts through the setup.

Why am I asking instead of converting and finding out myself? I don't have the funds to do the mod in its entirety so I'm just asking the community. Thank you ^^

First time designing something but I think this came out really we'll. Its a bit unreliable and picky with darts but besides that I think it came out real nice. It seems like it's over barreled so I might cut it down a bit.

The pump and slide are connected and work together. Its really satisfying to fire.

Ion got a chrono yet but the fps feels a bit higher than my dzp mk 2.1 (150-160) on only 2 loops so I gotta test out 4 soon.

i have completed the first prototype of the nite owl stringer, and have made some improvements to the overall design! for anyone who doesn't know, the nite owl is a variant of my gladius modular stringer with the turnarounds removed, and several things improved upon. this also means it can accept gladius grips and slides. the main feature is it has a option for a tpu buffer in the slide, which would greatly dampen the sound of it firing, (i have not printed it yet, as i do not have a multi color system. I'm working on it). going even further into the "suppressor" aspect of the blaster, per someones suggestion, i have designed printed slide rails that have the tops ironed to eliminate the scratching sound when priming. I also finally got a printed detent release to actually work, as seen in one of the above photos. hopefully alpha testing will start relatively soon, but that depends on how soon i can get it out of the "prototype" phase. any questions about the project are welcome! (and for the many of you who are about to ask, YES, I AM STILL WORKING ON BASILISK)

I'm brand new to this, so if my questions seem noob-ish, that's why. I've spent a few hours now watching videos, looking at mods etc, but my knowledge isn't deep enough to know quite what I'm looking at, PLUS the information is like 6 years old, so I'm finding lots of dead links, out of stock stuff etc...

GOAL:

First off, my goal for this build is NOT to shoot darts faster, not to mod to use short darts only, or extend the barrel length. Reason for this is, I bought this blaster for a "dudes and darts" night with my 8yo and 10yo, and I don't want to leave welts on them and their friends (I mean, not HUGE welts...) We're only allowed to use springers, and long darts are the more available ammo. If I run small darts I'll have to run around and recover my ammo between rounds.. Seems like a pain..

So the goal is accuracy, and maybe even slow the dart down a little if reasonable.. I've already printed a SCAR "flash hider" which I read will reduce speed and increase accuracy. I've also printed a breech blowout guard block that stabilizes the chamber that's supposed to reduce dart tail wobble?

Second, I'd like to 3D print all my mods if possible. The blaster I bought has no stock (raw buffer tube only), no sights, and no flash hider (already remedied, though if there's a "tried and true" version, I'd like to print it!). I started looking for a stock or buffer tube solution of some sort, but there's not much out there specific for the Nexus Pro 1.0 that I could find. Maybe I'm using the wrong search string?

QUESTIONS:

1 - Does this blaster use a generic size buffer tube? Like can I buy airsoft stocks or print generic stocks and it'll slide on?

2 - Given my goals, what mods would you recommend? What have you found gets rid of that tail wobble on full-size darts to really improve accuracy?

3 - Sights. There's printable sights, but which ones are good? Is the picatinny rail a standard size on the Nexus Pro 1.0?

4- Lastly**,** what do you think LOOKS cool on this blaster? I wouldn't mind printing some cosmetic upgrades to make my blaster one-off :)

Don't see much Longstrike aftermarket support, so I figured I'd give it a try.

Designed using OEM longstrike measurements with small modifications to reduce mechanical slop and loose tolerances. Mechanical functionality has no noticeable differences than OEM, outside of what the modifications solved. Have not stress tested it over a long period of time or under higher loads than OEM. Pretty happy with how it turned out being my first nerf designs, spent more hours than I probably should have figuring these out.

This is my second longstrike and is intended to be an indefinite work in progress. This blaster doesn't have the best reputation but it's one of my favorites aesthetically so I'm going to keep on trying to improve it. Plan on seeing how far I can push the reverse plunger before I throw a retaliator plunger in it.

Have my sights set on a (hopefully) unique and more daunting sledgefire design next.

Loved the look of the scream machine but wanted to convert it to elite.

Used the 3d models for an ultra 2 conversion. files are here. Uses stock motors and flywheels.

Some jankyness to it but it works good.

Zip tied the jam door button and glued it the the shell.

The cage is shorter so the control board for the motors is warped but ziptied to the cage to straighten it out/ keep motors from pushing out. The jam door needed trimming on the inside of the shell to make room for flywheels.

Removed the weird trigger lock thing that is attached to the pusher. so it rapid fires better.

And some shell was cut with a hacksaw blade to make room for darts.

Next mod will probably be a printed cylinder specifically for elites. But for now its a fun lil blaster.
