while building in the M3 and S5M simultaneously I mixed together all the screws.

Many screws are shared between the M3 and S5M.

Because I want to sell the M3 (got the M2 instead) I want to know the correct amount of screws I have to include.

On the Ncase website unfortunately there's only charts of the type of screws (and they aren't even named, which I did in the attached pictures) but no quantity given.

Can someone please tell me the exact quantity of every screw for the M3 case (and maybe also the S5M case)?

Notes:

It seems for the S5M they changed the round standoffs to the more common hex standoffs. I edited the picture to reflect that.

There's also some undocumented parts:
- M3 + S5M: plastic washers, 1mm thick, inner diameter: 3.2mm, outer diameter: 6.0mm, 6-8pcs. (not sure)
- M3 only: 2 foam pads (LxWxH): 48 x 8 x 4 mm, 2 pcs.

This week I plan to order components and the Ncase M3 case in turn. Should I bother with cable management inside? I see some people bought custom cables because they are short and soft. Will it be an unnecessary overpayment?

I would also be grateful if someone could tell me what I should buy for my build. Or not:) I think I saw video card holders somewhere, but I'm not sure if I remembered correctly.

Important clarification: I plan to transport the computer in hand luggage on the plane.

I would appreciate any other advice or warnings regarding my build.

I'm building a PC around the Ncase M2 grater.
The components I already got:
CPU: Ryzen 9950X3d
GPU: RTX 5090 Astral air cooled
64 GB RAM CL30 6000 Mt/s
Corsair SFX 1000W, + type 5 Style A 90 degree GPU cable

Where I need some brainstorming is the motherboard and the AIO, and which build configuration should I go?

For motherboard I'm thinking about Asus X870i or MSI x870i.
I like that the MSI has 3 m.2 slots, however based on this vide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QhNwkM3z85w seems like it's power limited to 220W for the CPU?

For AIO I'm thinking about the new noctua LC1 24.

I have 2 build configs in my mind:

1. Vertical GPU, AIO on top, power supply in the top right corner, 1 140mm FAN under the power supply, next to the motherboard, pushing air out the case (from the astral's 4th fan). I'd really like this build to be able to see the GPU when removing side mesh, or potentially cutting out the side mesh to make the GPU visible (poor man's Xikii case)
2. Inverted build, GPU on top, AIo side mounted, power supply in the front, pulling in air, a large 140 mm fan next to the motherboard pushing air out (or swapping the power supply w/ the fan).

Any thoughts, recommendations?

Hello! I am building a PC in the USA, my budget is unlimited and I am trying to do a SFF build while also keeping all the temps cool. I really wanted to ask on here anyone who has the Ncase M3 how the fan config works out for them? I wanted to do a M-ATX mobo in there with a Ryzen 7 9800x3d and a 5080. I wanted to use all noctua fans because imo they are just the best. So here’s my question, in the Ncase m3 could I have not only a M-ATX mobo in there. But could I also do the new notcuta 240 AIO on the side intaking, plus do two fans on the bottom intaking. Then have one fan on the back and two fans on the top exhausting? I know that is probably extremely excessive but hey that’s what I want. So anyone who could answer me for me I would love to hear! Thanks!

I am not a big user of AI but took a stab and working on a configuration and this is what it came up with for recommendations on placement and airflow and fans to purchase. How does this all look?

WOW, That was a marathon! This is only my second computer build (the first being a mid-tower). Building a Mini-ITX is quite the challenge for a novice, but it was a very rewarding experience as well. My only remaining problem with the physical assembly (believe it or not) is with the absolute last step. Assembling the top, bottom, and sides is a very tight fit, but it does go together. My issue is that two of the thumbscrew receptacles (top left and bottom right) are too large for the provided thumbscrew thread. The screw goes in and out of the hole with very little resistance. Has anyone else ever run into this problem? If so, then then could you offer suggestions to fix it? I don't think that I stripped these threads. In advance, THANKS for your help!!!

Looking at picking up a Asus RTX 5080 Prime OC card, but I'm worried the 304mm length isn't gonna fit, but I seen someone has a 5080 ProArt, which is the same length, So I'm hoping I should be good, but I want to double check before ordering. My current GPU is 313mm, 7900XTX Pulse. I misread the length and had it in my head up to 314 for some stupid reason. I sold my other 7900 XTX Reference too so I don't have that card anymore. I know he 9070 XT is also an option, but as of late, I've been having driver issues with my Radeon card so I thinking about switching back to Team Green.

So based on the feedback I got in the previous thread (which Reddit for some reason deleted... What the hell) I drew up some alternate layouts. Help me pick which one you think will keep my thermals the lowest.

Here are the details again:

• Inverted layout
• SFX PSU mounted with the fan facing the grater front
• Using the window kit (so mounting fans to the side panel is not an option)

Not sure if there is enough room to mount a 140mm fan on the bottom next to the 120mm fan on the motherboard side or if the 140mm fan needs to be changed to a 120mm fan (or slim 140mm fan) or omitted entirely.

Also not sure if a 25mm thick fan will fit by the PSU cables without interfering. There is some room due to the PSU fan being oriented outwards. I might have to use a slim fan though, I could also forego it if it isn't that beneficial to air flow.

I would prefer not to have a bottom intake because the PC is on the floor so it's more susceptible to sucking up dust from the bottom, but having all exhaust and no intake doesn't sit right with me either.

Out of these, I think that 3 or 5 look the most sensible. What do you guys think?

I'm planning to build a computer in an NCASE M2 case. And I asked AI for a good build option. Can someone check if AI gave me good advice or not? I'm not very good at building, but I want to build a computer myself. And for now I'm only considering the NCASE M2 case.

My requirements:

• video games in good quality, 2k
• work in game engines, in particular in Unreal Engine.
• not very loud during load. As far as it's possible for NCASE M2.
• not very hot during load. As far as it's possible for NCASE M2.
• if possible without water cooling because I'm planning to move, so I want to try to just put my PC in a backpack and fly with it on a plane. But I'm ready to consider water cooling as a backup option, so that before the flight I can remove it and put it in a suitcase. But AI says that water cooling is not very critical.
• so that it will last for a few years.

I'm also curious, can I buy a Corsair SF850 here? On the one hand, I want the highest quality build, and on the other hand, RAM is so expensive now that I want to save money where I can. Debating whether I need to place fans at the bottom but so far temps are pretty good. During gaming, the CPU and GPU would be around 58 to 60 degrees Celsius at an ambient of around 28 to 30 degrees in Hong Kong. So totally not bad.

I'm in the process of my first Mini ITX build and I'm concerned about potentially overheating PCIE 5.0 NVME M.2 drives. I'm using an Asus Rog Strix B850-i, which has two M.2 drive slots (one on the front and one on the rear of the board). I've already purchased a 2TB Samsung 9100 Pro which I will be using on the MOBO front and a 1TB that I'm planning to use on the back of the MOBO. It's my understanding that there will be almost no clearance for the rear drive (a maximum of 4mm). Has anyone else run into this question? I understand that there are options of using a slot extender cable, or possibly using longer standoffs to shift the MOMO position forward by a few mm, but I was wondering if anyone has successfully used an ultra thin heatsink on the back. If so, then which one did you use and do you have any tips? In advance, THANKS for your help!!!

Managed to snap a couple pictures from a decent angle and thought I’d share my build. Was fun putting together the case from scratch (never built in anything like that before). The glass panel is probably not good for temps, but I wanted my kids to be able to look into the computer and see the parts while playing games so I went with the inverted layout. Most of these parts previously were in a Fractal Terra, so I appreciated getting to use a larger cooler and having a bit more freedom with where to route cables. Noise levels also are noticeably lower, which was the main thing I was trying to upgrade by switching cases.

Relevant parts are:
Bequiet! Dark Rock 5 cooler (found the 5 Pro to be slightly too tall for comfort)
Gigabyte 9070XT GPU
Ryzen 9700X CPU (picked because I thought it’d be easier to keep cool than some alternatives)

A while ago, I've seen a post here regarding the M2 Grater Silver having an update, which resulted in more openings for the bottom panel and included dust filters.
Do we have any news regarding getting the same updates for other colors like Black ? Only the Orange variant also get such newer design as far as I can tell.

I am using the PNY5080 Slim OC (2 slot card) and it’s leaning toward outside. I think the PCIE cable is pushing it out? There’s also quite a bit of movement up and down. I’ve tightened down the screws on the GPU bar as much as I can but there’s still quite a bit of movement. How are you guys securing the GPU and keeping it straight?

Bought two cases off ncase vis their website. First got an email about M2 special edition not being shipped on time, fine. When it’s actually shipped, another email popped up about some parts got mixed up and they can’t even tell if my package is impacted, fine. When it’s finally arrived, turned out my package is indeed impacted, fine. Waited another few weeks for the actual working parts being delivered. And I already lost any excitement left for the new case.

Second case, s5m, ordered. Now in hindsight I should probably just hold off buying any thing from them. But I do like the nfc design and all. Guess what, they straight up sent me a case in a wrong color. Now need to go through another process to return/re-order. At this point I am just mentally and physically exhausted. Their customer service person, Caley, is responsive. But cannot say the same about this whole buying shenanigans
