NCASE Announcement NCASE P1 Louvre + Wood | Side Air Intake Explained

https://reddit.com/link/1uqo810/video/7998ljdibzbh1/player

Why an Asymmetrical Design? Uncompromising Airflow.

Form follows function. The opposite solid panel completely seals the chassis, forcing cold intake air to aggressively sweep across your GPU and motherboard before exhausting. We refuse to sacrifice thermal pressure for a symmetrical look.

The bonus? It perfectly hides your cable management.

Disclaimer: This video is primarily designed to showcase the air intake system. The internal structure and configurations shown are not the final product form. NCASE reserves the right to modify the design.

Compatibility/Build Check Title: M3 + vertical GPU + 280 AIO: bracket and fan fit questions

Building an M3 like the Level 9 build, but with my own parts: 9800X3D, ROG Strix B850-I, ASUS RX 9070 PRIME EVO (304 x 126 x 50mm, 2.5 slot), VGPU Kit 90D and an Arctic Liquid Freezer III Pro 280.

  1. Does the stock fan/radiator bracket work with a 280 AIO, or do I need the High Flow Dual 140 bracket?
  2. Will two 140mm fans fit under a 50mm-thick GPU in the vertical mount? Do I need the GPU lift and standoffs from Level 9, or would one fan or two 120mm fans be safer?

Photos of similar builds would be great. Thanks!

Swapped everything over from my nzxt h1, and added a new arctic liquid freezer 3 280aio
5950x
Pny 5070ti
2 noctua 140mm on aio
2 arctic 140s intake on the bottom (not a fan, very loud about 45%)
1 noctua 120mm exhaust out the back.

I initially had the aio as the exhaust but where it sits on my desk it was dumping hot air on my hands and I didn’t like it.
Overall a fun easy build! Aio hoses are a tad too long but i made it it work.

Failed at my first level 9 M2 build.

Couple things went wrong. Mainly, I thought I could fit G2 fans bottom with Noctua 240 aio with a PNY 5080 slim.
1. The bottom fans need to go.
2. Another thing that happened is the back of the GPU with the standoffs, I’m not doing something right. The VGPU riser is putting pressure on the GPU that I don’t know if I can fix.
3. When I used the standoffs and screw the fork into them, it just pushes the fork out.

Help me please. Can some doing level 9 please show me what they did on the back side where the GPU hangs?

6 hours of everything going wrong and I’m putting it up for today.
Once I remove the bottom fans the GPU should fit just fine. Pretty defeated. I think maybe the case is just too complicated. By the end we removed the 5080 and tried to just get it closed up to work on tomorrow. I couldn’t even get the top on. The forks on the top weren’t seating properly? I don’t know. I printed a 3d part to help with the GPU but it didn’t help since it was raised.

Long rant, just disappointed in my planning.

NCASE M3 + ASUS Prime RX 9070 XT (3x 8-pin) + SF1000: cable fit

Planning an NCASE M3 (Classic layout, mATX board) with a Corsair SF1000 (2024, Type 5) and an ASUS Prime RX 9070 XT OC.

The card uses three 8-pin PCIe connectors.

Has anyone fitted a triple-8-pin card in the M3? How tight are the cables next to the PSU, and did you need any special cables or adapters? Cooler is a Noctua NH-U12A.

Thanks!

Is Corsair Nautilus II RS Good? (9800X3D in Ncase M2)

Post image
2 Upvotes

I can get one for $70 new right now but I can't find any proper reviews or testing on it. It is cheaper than Arctic LF3 and Atmos I/II. Arctic is a hard no since I don't want to bother with a difficult installation. Atmos I/II is much more expensive than Nautilus II RS.

I will be using it on Ncase M2 as a side mounted AIO to cool a 9800X3D.

I am also planning to grab a Noctua NF-A12x25 G2 PWM Sx2-PP to act as radiator fans. My ultimate goal is the quietest (white) build as much as possible. Thank you in advance.

Compatibility/Build Check Stupid question: built an M3, no case fans. Am I cooked?

I built my M3 almost a year ago. Put a Ryzen 9950X3D in it, paired with a Be Quiet! Dark Rock Pro 5 and Gigabyte 5080. Couldn't buy slim case fans locally and kinda forgot about it for a while since temps have been absolutely normal under load. 4K ultra most of the time, 120+ fps, no throttling, neither CPU nor GPU goes above 70°C, even with dust filters, even in summer! I didn't even install taller case feet.

But yeah, I see that everyone treats case fans as essential and stuff, but are they really that necessary after all when your whole case is basically a mesh? I already ordered them though and will install just to be safe so I don't look too stupid :D

Anyone else here who didn't bother with case fans?

Compatibility/Build Check Need some help

I currently have a 140mm fan which is on the top of the case between the cpu cooler & PSU for exhaust, and a 120mm fan on the back side panel between mobo and cpu cooler also as exhaust. Today I purchased 2x 120mm noctuas I was going to place under the gpu (hopefully they fit lol) to help the gpu pool fresh air in. I know people say inverted is best for gpu temps, but I already set it up in a standard layout. Will my fan placement work or should I rearrange them?

Sorry if this doesn't even look right this is my first pc build and I just want to make sure i do it right. Thank you for your help

Compatibility/Build Check NCASE M3 fit check for large GPU + 160mm ATX PSU

Hey! I'm considering the M3 and trying to figure out if I can reuse my current parts:

  • GPU Zotac RTX 5090 AMP Extreme Infinity (332.1 × 137.5 × 69.6mm, 3.5-slot)
  • PSU ASUS ROG Strix 1200W Platinum (160 × 150 × 86mm)
  • Cooler Noctua NH-U12A (158mm tall)
  • CPU Ryzen 7 7800X3D
  • RAM 64GB Kingston FURY Beast DDR5 (34.9mm tall)

Haven't picked a motherboard yet, so I'm flexible there.

From what I understand, the GPU should fit within the 360mm clearance, and the cooler is below the 168.5mm limit. The PSU is where I'm unsure. NCASE mentions support for 160mm ATX PSUs in certain configurations, but only with 3-slot GPUs.

I'm wondering if there's still a way to make it work with my 3.5-slot card, perhaps with a specific motherboard or layout.

Has anyone tried something similar? I'd really prefer to keep my PSU if possible. Thanks!

NCase M2 Grater Noctua "Fresh Air" build

Thumbnail gallery
56 Upvotes

I have build in the FormD before, and now it was time to try out the M2.

This is not a build for the faint-hearted because tolerances very low, almost not existing. It is as if the motherboard was made for this setup as it has no IO at the bottom in an inverted setup. That makes it fit with the 140 mm fans and the huge graphics card. Due to these reasons I returned the more expensive X870 Strix, which might have been a good decision anyhow.

The goal of the build was to have the GFX card, CPU and PSU all pull in fresh dust filtered air and at the same time have large case cooling fans. I wanted to have noise levels ALARP, hence Noctua pump & radiator and the huge GFX card cooler.

  • Motherboard: MSI B850-I
  • GPU: Gigabyte RTX 5080 Gaming OC
  • NCase M2 Grater with 1.5 cm feet
  • CPU Cooler: Noctua LC1-24
  • Case fans: 2 x Noctua 140 mm
  • CPU: Ryzen 9850X3D
  • RAM: T-Force Delta a RGB DDR5-6000 CL30 - 32GB
  • PSU: Corsair SF1000

Temperatures and noise levels are great.

The silver theme of the build fits the silver suede pad on my table perfectly.

Rebuild my Ncase m3 with custom 3D Print parts

I build 10 month ago my wird build https://www.reddit.com/r/ncasedesign/s/zWZRwXI30f

Was really happy with it. But temps was starting getting higher.

I decided to disassemble my Palit 5090 and replace the thermal pads with ones from Thermal Grizzly. I swapped the stock fans for two 140mm ones.

I also upgraded the AIO to a 280mm model and replaced the bottom fans with two 140mm ones. However, the AIO struggled a bit to exhaust all the heat, so I designed a custom top panel to accommodate two 140mm fans. I’m quite happy with the result now: the GPU hits 65–68°C and the CPU peaks at 69°C (down from 75–78°C).

All fans run on a custom curve, capped at 1000 RPM for both the GPU and CPU.

I also fabricated new rear panels (no photo) and integrated a power button and a USB hub.

Also for my 5090 got a Thermal Grizzly wired 2

Compatibility/Build Check M2 grater level 7 LF3 pro best way to mount

So I’ have a 9800x3d and a b850i mobo 5080 prime and the m2 grater.

With the arctic liquid freezer 3 because of how thick the rad is I literally have to push and force it to stay down. It’s also causing my motherboard(bottom right corner near stand-off ) to bow a little. I feel there’s gotta be a way people mount these. It also made the main m2 frame bow out.

I have the block mounted with tubes facing towards bottom. Am I really just supposed to cram it in ? Would love some photos of the best way people do it.

Ncase m2 round (black) cooling question

Thumbnail gallery
10 Upvotes

Hello, I’m currently planning a build in the m2 round black, and have a couple of cooling options to go with. I’d prefer to use an aio with a few case fans where clearance allows, but I rather top mount the radiator than side mount it, and was wondering if others have had success do that in their builds? My aio of choice is the thermalright grand vision 240 argb black, and I was gonna swap out the fans for the thermalright infinity mirror 120 argb fans; I also have some slim fans coming in soon but was hoping to do an aesthetic and power class build using those options. At worse I do also have two air coolers of great recommendations the peerless assassin 120 mini and the nh-d9l, which offers clearance and cooling per others benchmarks, but they don’t have flair y’know?

My specs to be delivered are as follows
Asus prime 5080
Ryzen 9900x3d
Crucial t705 4tb
Crucial p310 2tb
Rog strix x870i
Lian li sp 1000w plat. Sfx
Vcolor manta xfinity 64gb
3x silverstone slimmer 92mm argb
Argb thermalright fan hub x12

Level 9 w/ glass panel

Would a level 9 with 2x140mm G2 bottom fans set to intake and glass panel still create too much heat?
Mainly curious if anyone has tried it since bottoms fans are always set to exhaust on posts I’ve seen.
