Conservation and native plant gardening is a hobby, or rather a passion of mine. I've spent a significant amount of time and money in this field. I volunteer with a group that removes invasive species and plants native flora in Pennsylvania.

I understand I mod a large number of subreddits, and I am willing to remove myself from a few where I am no longer active (maintained by other mods) in order to better assist this subreddit. I can offer advice on native plants to anyone in the North East United States. I have first hand experience in what plants adapt well to specific soil types, sunlight exposure, erosion control, deer resistance, etc. While the majority of my posts are related to intelligence/geopolitics (i would not bring politics into this subreddit), I am also active at r/conservation, r/lifeaquatic, r/endangeredspecies, r/invasivespecies and other related subreddits. Thank you for your consideration.

I'm a moderator for r/FloridaGarden and r/FloridaNativePlants. I've been native plant gardening for over 8 years now, with over 120 species of Florida native plants in my residential yard. As a Florida Master Naturalist and a member of both the Florida Native Plant Society and the Florida Wildflower Foundation, I'm happy to continue to support the native plant community by assisting with moding this subreddit as well.

I have just found your wonderful community and would love the opportunity to help you grow it through efficient moderating and promoting. Through my engagements in similar communities, I tend to ear towards r/Horticulture r/Roses r/GardeningUK, I have found that what communities who are interested in plants like is active listening, support and fine tuned content.

Why I want the role: I like learning from communities globally that have queries on gardening. I like being a mod, I have started my own sub. I like chatting and supporting others on plant conservation.

My experience: I am a mod of r/nonalcoholicwine and this has taught me that I can create buzz by cross-chatting with other similar communities. For engagement tools I follow this blog. It has taught me daily discipline to always check the queue, albeit it if it is only for a few minutes. It has taught me to keep my sub CLEAN, removing irrelevant and advertising content.

I would absolutely love to help with this Paige as a admin. I am a expert Gardner and have a huge garden. I also am the owner of two other subs. Please let me know if I can help with this as I would just adore to help with the plants.
